We enjoyed a quiet stay at Kartika House. The room was comfortable and looked over rice fields. The bathroom had a pebble floor shower which we got used to but was a little uncomfortable on tired feet.The owners are just lovely, can't do enough to help you. The house is next to the start of a walk that leads you to rice fields and it is peaceful there, apart from wildlife but that was wonderful waking up to.It is around 30 minutes to walk into Ubud centre, particularly lovely if you go via the rice fields. There were restaurants nearby so you could stay local on the evenings.I would recommend for those who want a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Oh, and they make a fabulous breakfast too!! And there's a pool!!!

Great welcome, lovely, very bright room with a view of the rice field.The breakfast and their fruit juice are great! The family is very nice and offers taxi services. They are available to provide information and help us!

This is an amazing place to stay. Rice fields. Balcony. Sounds of nature. Swimming pool. Nice room full of light. Perfect. The o my thing is that wifi is not suitable for any work. But you can always buy local sim and forget about any issues.One of the best places I’ve been to.

I was staying in Kartika House with my boyfriend for a month and we really liked it. Despite it is located near to the center of Ubud (5-7 minutes drive, or 25-30 minutes walk), it is really quite and calm there. The room is spacious and clean, they provide you daily cleaning. There’s a small kitchen in the terrace as well. The rice paddy view is amazing, I couldn’t get used to it! The wifi is good, we could even work from the room (for example making skype calls to Europe). Agung and his whole family are the kindest people on earth! They were really helpful, and made our stay cozy and comfortable.

I really liked this place I stayed on one of the units overlooking the rice field and I really enjoyed it. Sometimes you have access to the beautiful pool next door and you can go trail running all around the rice field trails

Both the Guest and the Villa are goodQuiet and beautiful views of the jungle and highways.Good location, just a couple of minutes drive to the center of Ubud and even a walk to the artists' trail.There is a swimming poolPerhaps this is the most comfortable place, where it feels like home.By the way, it’s cool and pleasant to sleep, despite the lack of air conditioning and a beautiful garden, lots of avocados and flowers.

Among all the places where I was in Bali, I mean villas, homestays, hotels, this is in last place. The owners are friendly, nice people, like most Balinese, there is a swimming pool, which is rare for offers at this price (but I didn’t swim in it), the price is inexpensive and that’s probably where the advantages end. As I understand it, there are different rooms here, perhaps I was unlucky because... there are a lot of positive reviews about this host... I got an apartment on the 2nd floor, above the owners’ home, overlooking a villa under construction... the bathtub is dirty, there are ants and cockroaches in the room. Hostel atmosphere. The Internet is so-so, but it exists. It was very uncomfortable there energetically, I stayed for 1 night, left early in the morning, and didn’t try breakfast. The desire to wash the subtle bodies after being in this space. The road leading to the house is terrible. I didn’t dare ride along it at night, so as not to injure myself or the bike. I left it a few minutes walk away in the parking lot. I definitely won't go back there again. I’ll repeat once again - the owners are friendly, good people, it’s a pity to upset them with such a review, but these are my honest impressions of the stay..
