The rooms are surrounded by greenery, going to sleep with the noise of the frogs and waking up with the sound of the fountains was wonderful. Even though it is centrally located, not the slightest noise comes from the center of Ubud. The staff is incredible, ready to give help and hospitality. Very good breakfast to be eaten on the patio (for a fee of 50k rupees) Very spacious room and giant bedI would improve the cleaning (especially under the bed) For those with children, as in my case, the climb to reach the homestay from the center of Ubud is a bit challenging if you don't have strollers

The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant surprise to find coffee/tee, hot water and cups in the morning and we got hot water again one afternoon to make tee.The room was clean, I even checked for bed bugs and the mattress looked great.Only the bathroom carpets looked a bit dirty. The room was comfortable and practical with several lights, blackout curtains and white privacy curtains, furniture, nightstands..The location is great, you can walk to the city center, there's some small shops and restaurants around and it's not in a busy street, so there's not a lot of traffic noise.Negatives..It was quite loud at times, especially in the morning. There were roosters crowing, the cute dog chico was barking, some toddlers were playing and there was a construction site right next door.. the upstairs neighbors were stomping on the stairs..The wifi wasn't good. It was at times week and there were many interruptions. The sliding door was impossible to open without a loud creaking sound, the was a lock which didn't work so you had to use a padlock from outside and a flimsy little bathroom-type lock from inside (we had no safety concerns, but why not repair the proper lock?)..

Wonderful cosmetics, but the items are unreasonably expensive... their seamstresses are clearly inexperienced. The overlocker is not used at all for the fabric, I am attaching photos. Just don’t say that this is how it was intended, because different clothes are sewn differently... I’m attaching photos.

We have a very bad experience in this place when we want to see the room, the employee said that he won't show us any room and told us to look the room in the internet and was very rude overall. It's never happen to us before since we living here.

It was helpful because the owner can speak Japanese. He is a very nice person. Transfers to and from the airport (charges apply) are also available.

We stayed here about a month ago and completely forgot to review but what a special, special place ♥️ we loved our stay, the staff were incredible and helpful and we just had a wonderful stay. Couldn’t recommend it more, in a fab location, quiet away from the noise of Ubud but close enough to be a quick walk to the high Street. Thank you for having us Muka House
