Beautiful hotel in the heart of Mainz; There are many wine bars around the corner and of course the cathedral. The ladies at reception are very friendly and accommodating. Ideal hotel for a city trip in Mainz. Breakfast was ok and plentiful. What more could you want?

Unfriendly reception when checking in.You almost felt unwanted, and others felt the same way that day.Necessary information was only available upon request.The room had to be changed because a serious error was found, but the hotel had known about it for a long time and still hadn't fixed it.In others the rooms could not be locked, in some there were problems with the window, and the hotel was obviously aware of this too.This was all discovered in one day by different guests and rooms had to be changed. However, you had to insist on changing rooms, which wasn't right at all.There was no discount for inconvenience or a free drink or any other gesture.Otherwise very friendly service.Meeting rooms good. Food too. Accessible without barriers.The location is well located. However, the old town is cobbled, making it more difficult for walkers, wheelchairs and people with walking difficulties.

+ The service, both at reception and at breakfast, was extremely friendly and accommodating.+ The breakfast was sufficient and good.+ The location to the old town is perfect.- Our room had no air conditioning and this with outside temperatures of around 30 degrees.- The bathroom is very small, without sufficient storage space. The shower could cause problems for slightly obese people.- In our opinion, the price/performance ratio doesn't fit at all. In one night we paid €160 and almost couldn't sleep due to the lack of air conditioning.If you have a “hostel atmosphere”, please also pay “hostel prices”.
