Stayed in early August. Here's what I thought.Facilities: A 2-star hotel located on the wall of Yamakaoka, a little alley off Sugriwa Street. It's set back from the main street, so it's relatively quiet. There is a wooden terrace in front of the room, but it is just a space where you can enjoy the outside air. There are many stairs and slopes within the grounds, so it is definitely not suitable for people who have difficulty walking or who have difficulty walking. There is a lot of shade, so it can be humid, humid, and humid. All rooms and buildings are painted yellow-green. It embodies the hotel name. Air conditioning works well. The bathroom is a typical toilet and shower combination. When I took a shower and used a lot of water, a little water seeped out right next to the shower room, so I blocked it with a bath towel. The overall deterioration is undeniable. Wifi never cuts out or is slow. Overall, is it worth the price?Service & Software: The owner is an elderly and friendly Indonesian. He has a distinctive appearance and is probably the type that you will never forget once you meet him. I arrived well before the check-in time, but as there were no other customers, they let me check in for free. Most of the time, he stays on the premises, taking care of the chickens he is raising, but he is so friendly that he calls out to him every time he encounters him, such as when he goes out or returns. Breakfast (crepes and bananas) was also prepared by the owner. All the staff were friendly and there were no problems. Judging from the room rate, it seems to be suitable for backpackers who can afford to spend a lot of money.

When I was first recommended this place by a local I booked it for 5 nites as I was told it is a quieter area of ubud but when I read the previous reviews I expressed my concerns about the room being mouldy to the owner as I am asthmatic. However he calmly explained that it was just after Covid and did not have the means to get rid of the mould and charged very low for the room at that time but if I was still concerned he was willing to return the deposit. The room was clean with a very spacious room and bathroom. Air condition works well and hot water. It has a slight damp smell like many Indonesian bathrooms in this budget but not offensive.If you have weak legs I suggest you take the rooms upstairs but I liked the quietness of the rooms downstairs.You do get some ants because itโs close to a river and some roosters but the best part was no loud scooter noises. Itโs at the end of the road and very few eateries or massage places which is better as there is less human and traffic noise. It is one block away from several streets with loads of restaurants, laundry services and 5 minutes from my favourite local yoga place. The owner and his sons are such lovely friendly people and they worked so hard to make my stay comfortable. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality!

I thought it was a great hostel. The beds were good and it was very quiet. The people who work there are also very nice and can help you with fun activities. For the price, I think the hostel is worth it.

The condition of the rooms and the hotel are not very suitable, a little dilapidated, the dormitory had a smell of humidity mixed with cat pee. But it was only in my dormitory because I went to another and there was no such smell. Nevertheless, the staff was very kind and smiling.Even if the price is not expensive I don't really recommend it.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the past six nights. We had no hot water for three nights and sometimes no water at all, but that problem has now - if all goes well - been completely resolved.Furthermore, our toilet seat was loose and our neighbor's dirty cups and full ashtray were still on our balcony two days after his departure. We thought these were some sloppy details that would make your stay a little less pleasant.The staff is also very friendly and always wants to help you. They also make you a delicious breakfast for free every day, so that is very sweet and thoughtful! A great stay, with some areas for improvement here and there. We wish the owner and his staff good luck for the future ๐ซถ๐ผ

The worst place I've been in almost a month in Bali.Rooms have mold and so does the bathroom..they try to cover it up with air fresheners ๐ซฃI checked out after 1 night...in the early morning and no one cared at reception why I paid 3 nights and left after just one. That should tell you a lot of their "care for customers".The room was so bad I had an allergic reaction and needed medical care to recover from it.AVOID at all costs if you care for your health!!!

Really nice hostel. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The doors have just 4 beds which is nice and the price is very reasonable including free breakfast! Great location in Ubud down a nice quiet street. Highly recommend!

Nice staff, horrific rooms. Had to check out on the second night due to it stinking of damp and sewage smell from the bathroom drainaways. Paid extra for a private room as well. Wouldn't recommend as you can get way better in the area for cheaper or similar. Heard a few other people checking out early too.

It's1. Hard to get to, and the signages don't make it any better2. Dirty, the washroom in our room was positively filthy and suffered other issues such as a non functioning toilet3. Not worth it even for the cheap priceOverall, don't be fooled by the cheap rates, while the staff are nice enough, you'll be better off getting a room somewhere else in the area. Since it was my last day in Bali, I chose not to splurge, but right down the street are fantastic hostels that come with inbuilt pools and spas for those with a wallet slightly more lined than us mortals.

Disgusting place to stay. I booked through Airbnb after a typical Ubud fiasco with overbooked homestays and really hoped that this one would have been different. Arriving around 7pm, I was first looking for the place for 10min, having to ask local people if they recognize the host from the airbnb photo because the address provided was NOT the address listed on airbnb. I finally found the place down some stairs in a tiny alleyway, and when checking in realized that they, too, had overbooked and were setting me up in a different room.The room I got was like a subpar kos kosan, that I wouldn't give $5/night to stay, let alone the $19 I actually paid. Everything was dirty and moldy, lightbulbs missing, no toiletries, disgusting bathroom, 2 single beds instead of 1 double, not even 2 towels were provided for a booking for 2 people!I ran away the next morning and advise everyone to avoid this place.

Staff were very helpful, location was close to the center of Ubud. Rooms were clean, but had no towels. They kept our bags stored for a week so we could take our scooters to the north of Bali! Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a cheap place to stay that is comfortable and close to everything Ubud has to offer.

feel like picture took 5 y ago. it's not that clean u may see spiders everywhere. walls cracked. and washroom 1/5. everything old like last century. i give one start over for kindness of people work there. i will give them 10/10 rwa balinese. if u ok w monk lifestyle this place for u. but it's not worth money

We had a lovely time staying at the Green View Backpackers Inn in Ubud. The location of the hostel is brilliant and the owner and his family are extremely friendly and helpful. It is a fairly social hostel; we were able to meet some lovely people there. The room itself has air con and basic facilities and breakfast is included. I would recommend staying here if youโre looking for good value for money.
