We complained about wine that corked. But neither the sales person nor the Sommerliere who was sitting next to him were interested in that. It would be the least that the concerns of the customers are taken into account. In any case, we won't buy anything here again. A wine around 15 €, 4 out of 6 bottles shouldn't cork. Every other wine from surrounding wineries maintains the quality.

Great breakfast

We spent a few nights here in the double room with breakfast.About the rooms:The room was equipped with everything you need for a vacation and the bathroom was small but sufficient. There were supplements and the towels were cleaned every day. However, we noticed a few things that we didn't like so much. For one thing, there was only one armchair, so only one person could sit comfortably in the room. The double bed had no headboard, which meant there was no need to lean against it. There were also no sockets near the bed, which we found quite inconvenient. There were real balls of dust under the bed, which shouldn't have been there, and once a rag was accidentally left in our room that was lying on my nightgown. This was uncomfortable because I didn't know what had been cleaned with it. In addition, the bed linen attracted a lot of lint and after a short time it no longer looked very good due to wearing dark clothing. At the same time, my black clothes were covered in white lint. It would have been nice if the bed linen had been changed instead of towels or at least vacuumed once. The fact that the entrance was right next to the bed made it a bit uncomfortable towards the end. These are all just small things, but all in all they mean that we wouldn't book this room category again.Breakfast:The breakfast was excellent. There was a small selection of everything, some even homemade items. There was also a tea bar, a fully automatic coffee machine and a juicer, with plenty of fruit and vegetables for me to choose from. I can really recommend this.The service:The service staff at reception were very friendly and in a good mood. We enjoyed the free wine tasting there and then bought a few bottles. There was even quite generous attention. We were very happy about it. The only thing I would recommend differently here would be to do the wine tasting while sitting rather than standing. That would be a little more relaxing.During breakfast the service staff always sat at a table in the breakfast room. I found this a bit strange, but I didn't find it annoying.The location:The location of the hotel is very nice. From here you can start hiking or cycling straight away. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the main road, which is quite loud during the week. You should also be aware that the place is very sleepy and there is not much going on. Something more is happening in Eltville itself.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, as we rarely stayed in the room anyway. Nevertheless, I would have expected a little more here. I would still recommend the hotel.

Tuesday lunchtime a place of peace and relaxation. Friendly people, good food. Great.

We came across this gem by chance. So beautifully located and lovingly furnished restaurant with attention to detail. We sat outside and enjoyed the delicious cuisine. The service was great and very accommodating and polite. It's no longer so commonplace these days.Will definitely make a trip there again!!!Highly recommended.Unfortunately I can still get a room!! Don't rate it, but that will probably happen.

I was there as part of a celebration including an overnight stay. The whole complex is historical and impresses with its atmosphere. The room (junior suite) was in the annex and was very spacious and very cozy thanks to the roof beams. Unfortunately, darkening the windows was only possible to a limited extent. The sofa bed made it possible for three people to spend the night here. All the employees were very friendly, both at the reception, in the restaurant and at breakfast. The location is very nice with direct access to the Rhine and within walking distance of the beautiful town. The breakfast was good - I would have liked a little more variety here, for example a cream cheese or margarine. Vegan or vegetarian alternatives would also be great, e.g. oat or soy milk, a few nuts, a plant-based vegetable spread, etc. would be foods that others would certainly be happy about. It was great to have the opportunity to squeeze fresh juice.All in all, I would definitely book an overnight stay here again!

A top location to romantically enjoy wine and food in the fresh air in the Rheingau. Always good for a nice break!
