Dirty everywhere (toilet urine everywhere, you can't even sit down...hair in the bed, old dirty towels + hair sticking to them. Disgusting!!!In addition, every 30 minutes there is a roaring/humming noise from the ventilation system outside the window…There was also a knock on the wall the whole time. Rats? I have no idea.I tried to find a solution on site, but there was no response from the hotel. Nobody feels responsible… no manager to speak to.. for 280 euros a night a total joke.Anyone who stays here has themselves to blame...

Great location, easy to reach from the airport. Rooms very old and small, but clean. What really bothered me is that even when the windows are closed, you can hear everything (cars, people talking loudly can be heard on the top floor). It was loud at night, especially on weekends. And there is also extremely noisy noise inside the hotel. The staff is very friendly, but not very service-oriented and quickly overwhelmed when you have questions.

We've been there twice this year. We had 2 rooms next to each other, with a wheelchair there was no problem. Reception, housekeeping, breakfast lady and housekeeper, all employees, all very friendly, helpful in every situation. Location also perfect. We'll only go to Hotel Scala when we're back in Frankfurt.Breakfast delicious, room clean 54, 55...Top team, class hotel

Certainly! Here's a concise Google review for Hotel Scala in Frankfurt:---Hotel Scala might have been ok 30 or 40 years ago, but it has not aged well. The rooms are cramped and outdated, with no air conditioning—a real issue during the summer. To make matters worse, there's a massive construction site next door, creating constant noise that lasts late into the night. Combine that with drunk people lingering and shouting outside until 4 or 5 a.m., and you've got a recipe for a sleepless stay. Unfortunately, the only thing this hotel has going for it is its location, but that hardly makes up for the numerous discomforts. Avoid this place, especially during the warmer months.One more issue: as I left the hotel a day early, the receptionist, a bearded chubby young man, refused to issue me a proper receipt and refund me a credit balance!

I booked this hotel through booking.comThere it was offered as a barrier-free hotel suitable for wheelchair users!!!The disaster began outside the hotelThere was no way to get into the hotel with a wheelchair due to a high step -Although I had previously contacted the hotel privately by email and they had also promised that there would be no problems with a wheelchair,However, I tried several times to convince the hotel manager that a simple board would be enough to allow wheelchair users access to the hotel.However, he just rejected us in an unfriendly manner and said we should look for another hotel, so it is not advisable to book this hotel with a wheelchair userBooking,com can you please do more research before claiming that the hotel is wheelchair accessible

Stayed here for two nights.Unfortunately it was very hot in Frankfurt on both days (30 degrees), which made the rooms very hot and uncomfortable. There is no air conditioning in the hotel, although it says on the windows that you should keep the windows closed.There is a fan in the room, but it doesn't do much and is loud.It was also very uncomfortable for me with the window open because of the high volume until well after midnight.The location is actually good as you can easily reach many things on foot.Parking garage is nearby, but unfortunately a bit expensive for a longer stay.Reception staff was friendly.

DO NOT STAY HERE if you are in a group of three single travellers.Booked a room - 1 twin and 1 double and it turned out to be 1 double and 1 single.The hotel tried to claim it was a triple but the 'twin' bed was a double mattress on a double bed base. Extremely misleading and the staff would not countenance otherwise.There was another party with the same issue, who were much angrier than we were. The receptionist would not call out the manager.As it was too late to make a change and Expedia could not deal with the issue within 48 hours, I had to sleep on the floor.A crying shame as it's in a great location.

Booked room for 3 nights. After staying in the hotel room for a couple of hours, we chose to book another hotel. It was an expensive weekend, but I would never book the hotel again. Traveling with a baby and this is not up to standard. Dirty. Also found dark hairs on the windowsill..

They have a small window with a view to a wall.There was NOT Air-conditioning inside the room for 4 in a city that reached 30° those days.They make copy of the ID on the check in desk.The one lift they have is always busy. Their card system to unlock doors fails easily and you have to go downstairs to fix the problem...Breakfast buffet 14/15€ which I refuse to "buy" in the morning after seeing their other services.But THE WORST PART IS that before booking I had a question about a fee for my pet but they DIDN'T answer the messages. THEY ONLY accept reservations. And at the check in desk I got a surprise FEE of 15€ to pay for my pet.As good point🙂It was easy to find the place.There is a kettle (tea, coffee not good quality) and a bottle of water inside the room.

It was a hotel where I stayed for 6 days. Definitely do not choose it in summer, there is no air conditioning and the rooms are very hot. 3 hours after checking out of the hotel, just before getting into the taxi, they had a disrespectful receptionist who did not allow me to use the toilet in the lobby and told me to go to the restaurant across the street.

Ok. Notes from a seasoned traveler. This place is really only ideal for its location. TV didn’t work. Front desk admitted the antenna is out 🙄. WiFi works but it’s super temperamental. The rooms are small and no AC and it gets super warm at night, even with the window open. Maid service was great and the place is clean. If you stay, it’s best to book the back of the property. Currently there is construction next door but I only heard noise in the afternoon. Oh and they don’t provide do not disturb door tags. Odd.
