Email inquiries are simply not answered. Dubious, when you call you don't understand anything because of all the dogs barking, but bringing dogs with you is not welcome, a friendly answer would have been nice. I can't recommend contact.

One thing in advance: Five stars are not nearly enough!!!We go to Herbstein (relatives) every year and have already tried out a few accommodations. But we had the very best accommodation with the Merz family. The welcome is warm, the apartments are large and spacious. We've already gone through all the apartments. Apartment No. I is the largest and most beautiful although No. II, the attic room is very cozy. Apartment No. III is pleasantly cool even in the hottest weather. We are always happy when we can stay there. It will be taken care of and if you need anything it will be taken care of. Everything is clean and the kitchens have everything you need. You really have a “vacation” there!!!

We stayed in the apartment with 2 children and were thrilled. Everything is very well maintained and there is enough space to spread out. We and especially the children particularly liked the small garden with the adjacent goat stable. We will be back definitely!

We were on the railway cycle path and stayed overnight here. Quiet room in the basement. Very good: fly gauze in front of the bathroom window and roller shutters in the living room and bedroom. Breakfast was very good and the owner was very nice and accommodating. We were able to store the bikes in the garden shed. Gladly again.
