Never had breakfast like this before, I only managed to grab one roll, the selection of sausages was always empty, scrambled eggs were always empty, I think if breakfast is offered then you should be prepared for it!

I can only recommend the Jägerhof. The service people are friendly and attentive. The dishes that are brought to the plate are worth seeing and taste amazing. As well as the quality of the meat.Great, keep it up!!

Room 13 was very small, but okay and clean for one night. Only the location was very bad. Somehow there seemed to be a fan or fan that had been humming like a helicopter all night. But it wasn't in my room. I couldn't sleep because of the humming. Only after I remembered that I had ear plugs with me and then put them in my ears was it possible to fall asleep. I would not recommend this room. I can't rate the food and service because I didn't need it. Breakfast was manageable and unimaginative. Too bad.

We felt very welcome and comfortable as a family. Warm welcome, the owner personally from early in the morning until late in the evening behind the counter or reception, very tasty food, everything made by himself, beautiful large yard, everything you could wish for.Don't forget to buy sausage and meat!We would like to thank the Jägerhof team very much.

Had a very good lunch again. The lamb dish is known to be delicious, and it wasn't the first time I've enjoyed the lid and again it didn't disappoint.Ordered the Vogelsberger tapas for the first time, highly recommended, but if you eat them alone you won't be able to finish the main course. Luckily we shared the starter. The restaurant is a real insider tip.

Stopped in for lunch on the way through because of the good reviews - we were thrilled. Excellent pork cheeks and trout fillets, wonderful dessert compositions, courteous, quick service, good value for money. Many guests had lunch including soup for €14.50 and were very satisfied with the dish of the day, vegetable lasagna. Gladly again!

Just watched the Worschd seminar in the hr 📺 Hessen a la carte. Great article with lots of Schmeggerwöhlerchen, while preparing the liver Worschd I had to think of my first home slaughter. The butcher back then when the liver Worschd tasted a bit bitter when I tasted it from the mule... Have your mother-in-law give you a packet of vanilla sugar. Magic...Hesseland.

The Jägerhof in Lauterbach/Maar is an institution of traditional, owner-managed gastronomy that is no longer or very rarely found, with a quality that clearly has no comparison in central and eastern Hesse. The quality of the food and the interaction between friendly service and highly qualified advice will probably look for competition in the long term. Comparable institutes make it very clear that either the staff is no longer trained and/or willing or the quality of the food is subject to price pressure and there is always a neutral, good feeling at the end of the evening. After many visits to the Jägerhof, it is clear to us that we have never had a bad night's sleep here, we have never eaten or drank badly and we have never been looked after in an above-average manner in a friendly and competent manner. In addition to these many factors, in the end the price is also significantly lower than what is offered. We hope that the Jägerhof in Lauterbach/Maar will offer many more people the chance to enjoy traditional, honest and modern cuisine in an environment that can clearly be described as family-like.

The ambience is very nice. A very nice, small, clear menu with regional dishes. Service very nice and attentive. Looks neat and clean. The food was very tasty, the goose butter was tender, the red cabbage and dumplings were very tasty. Good wine service.Children's meal excellent.

We have already been on various vacations both in the hotel and in the restaurant. Last week 2x in the restaurant and 1x to buy sausage.Restaurant with great, top quality food.The service was very friendly, competent and attentive. Special thanks again to the chef. All dishes are tasty and pleasing to the eye👍👍👍Then on Sunday with the ownerBought H. Schmidt sausage and ham (aged for 6 months). We had the ham with the asparagus today. Heavenly😋😋😋and unfortunately the “ahle Worscht” doesn’t last long either. One thing is certain: we'll be back.
