I had booked a single room for a wedding. Despite repeated requests, I did not receive any confirmation. On the day of the wedding, when I checked in, I was given a double room (I thought I was assigned this because of overcrowding). On the next day of departure, I also had to pay for the double room and twice for breakfast (which I didn't eat), despite the complaint. Pure rip off!

We were at the Nieder-Mooser See campsite, where the Jöckel Gastronomy snack bar invited us to linger.The best thing is that the gyros are gluten-free 😃 and the food in general is very tasty. Dirk is also such a nice, helpful, funny, patient and likeable man.Thank you Dirk!

The restaurant is super tasty and highly recommended. However, I wouldn't recommend breakfast, there is only a small selection and unfortunately what was there didn't convince me either, apart from the scrambled eggs. Fresh scrambled eggs were brought - the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten! And now to the accommodation. We were in apartment number 3. A very large apartment with lots of space and several balconies, BUT: we opened the windows in the evening because it was very warm. Within a few minutes we had a lot of large spiders in our apartment. The spiders stick to the window panes from the outside and are just waiting for the windows to be opened so that they can crawl in. So we had to sleep with the windows closed, unbearable heat. When you opened the balcony door, you first walked into several spider webs. Unfortunately the balconies could not be used.Conclusion:I would definitely eat in the restaurant again, but I definitely wouldn't book the accommodation again.

We stayed in the Jöckel guest house, the house right across from the hotel.The house is centrally located on a street. Our room was in a quiet location with an idyllic view of the surrounding area and the agriculture.The room was large, bright and comfortable. A large closet offered space for everything. Couch and table were also available as well as a minibar.The bathroom is also very large and well equipped.Unfortunately there was one big minus point. The windows do not have fly screens. When we went to breakfast we opened the window. When we came back we had a swarm of flies in the room. No 4 or 5. I set about eliminating these. I killed 24 flies. The rest flew on because we had an appointment. There is an urgent need for retrofitting here. It would be enough to equip one window per room like this. Sleeping at 29 degrees outside and similarly hot inside because you can't open a window is very stressful. We wouldn't have wanted to stay another night just because of that. Too bad.The breakfast was okay. Unfortunately there was no bread - just rolls. The muesli was a chocolate muesli and cornflakes. Pure oatmeal would have been better. There was milk from the cow - no soy milk or other variants. There was enough fruit salad, salmon, sausage, etc. Eggs too if desired. It's great that you get a large pot of coffee. It's a shame that the jam is not offered in a glass but in plastic containers. Environment on land?The lady from the breakfast service was super nice and accommodating.All in all a wonderful house to relax in. But in summer please only with a fly net. Or you can bring your own.

We were there to celebrate a wedding.The Vulkanhalle is a really great location. The best I know.The evening was breathtaking. Good technology on site, outstanding service and really delicious food!We slept in a hut right next to the hall. Everything very clean and tidy.Also really recommended for children and families. To celebrate there was a bouncy castle, vehicles for the children...Really great.

Nice, small hotel and resteraunt. Been here several times. Great for a little break. On foot there is a volcano park with various leisure activities and delicious cakes and drinks or Nieder Mooser Lake. Everything was very clean and everyone was very nice in the hotel. Very good food and very good breakfast.

Quiet, cozy and family-friendly hotel. Well suited for cyclists looking for somewhere to stay overnight near the volcano cycle path. Space available for bicycles. Social price ratio! Dinner recommended. Gladly again!
