I stopped at the hotel for an overnight stay.The house is centrally located and therefore ideal if you want to take a stroll into the old town.Meanwhile, it shares space with a large beverage store.The hotel itself is clearly getting old, the room exudes the flair of the early 90s.The overnight price seems a little too high for what is on offer.

In contrast to many critical reviews, I had no complaints. Contact with the owner by email was friendly, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, the breakfast selection was varied and freshly prepared scrambled eggs upon request.

It was well.Rooms are a bit old. Very dark bathroom.Breakfast was ok.Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take any sandwiches from breakfast with us, including the ones we brought with us (gluten intolerance).

I can't rate the rooms.However, the email contact with the managing director, which I perceived as very unpleasant and unfriendly, responded to a very friendly request.After reading the other reviews, I had already expected that customer friendliness would not be a priority here. Nevertheless, I wanted to give the Parkhotel a chance and was disappointed.Answer to the answer: Dear Mr. Volchevski, you are distorting a lot of facts here. They know that themselves. I never asked for 40 rooms and just asked whether a few rooms could be blocked for the next 4 - 6 weeks so that my guests can make binding bookings during this time and we have a certain level of security. You were abusive in email contact, not me. Now you're threatening me with lawyers. Your behavior is extremely unprofessional. A pity.

I booked this "wellness hotel" because of the sauna and was prepared to drive 30km for it. Because what do you want to experience in Schotten in the evening when the Scots are already closed?When a work colleague wanted to stay there overnight, he was booked in and we were already looking forward to the sauna evening.But things turned out differently than expected.At around 5 p.m. I called the hotel to see if the sauna could be heated up. We would be there in about half an hour.We were told that there was no way that would work because the cost of the sauna would be too high these days.I then asked the hotelier to reconsider this because I would come about 30km to him especially for the sauna and would not spend the night at my place of work."NO" there's no way that would work.So I told the hotelier that we would be checking out the next morning because there was no sauna, whereupon the hotelier didn't let my work colleague check in at all.At 10:30 p.m. at night my room phone rang and the hotelier banned me from the house; for fraud and I should leave the hotel immediately and he would have already called the police.A call to the same person confirmed the statement and I waited in the cold outside the hotel for the police to arrive.When the police arrived, he repeated his allegation, but the police said that if there was no sauna despite booking, then that was entirely understandable, because it was a service that was not provided, especially since the sauna was the decisive reason for it seemed to make me choose this hotel.Since the police couldn't mediate either, the ban remained and I left the "crime scene" to book another hotel.A few soft points at the end:The furniture seems to be from the 90s, chic Formica in white with worn edgesBathroom super small, with black corners in the wet areasThe paint is peeling off on the heatersThe elevator should no longer be used after 7 p.mThere are things lying around in the escape routes in the stairwelland the "rich breakfast consists of wheat rolls, everyday muesli and scrambled eggs, while an old record player plays music from the 90s.A rickety refrigerator contains milk, orange juice and multi-juice.Three types of sausage and cheese complete the offer...

At first it was unclear whether there would be breakfast, but then there were enough guests in the house. But the breakfast was also great. The rooms are okay and reasonably clean, but could use some updating. The television program leaves a little to be desired. There are only 12 channels. However, at 95 euros (booked through an external provider), the room is quite expensive. The gentleman who made breakfast was very friendly.

Very nice staff, it's super easy to park right in front of the hotel, fresh scrambled eggs are available for breakfast upon request, rooms are in a good, tidy condition. Schotten is a nice little place with a small, real old town, only the motorway is far away

Very suitable for staying overnight in Schotten for little money.The inventory is a bit older but very clean. Owner is very friendly. Located opposite the Vulkaneum and close to the center and swimming pool. I will choose the accommodation again if I need an overnight stay in Schotten.
