We had lunch on Saturday and were very excited and will be taking a motorcycle tour to this hotel next year.We cannot rate the rooms yetsince we were only in the restaurant.The food, the guest rooms and the service are excellent for a very special day.

We go there by bike at least once a year to pamper ourselves on the terrace. The bike tour along the Aar and Lahn alone is a pleasure.The food and the overwhelming drinks menu are also a pleasure 🍷.The terrace is a dream.The service is exemplary and cannot be topped.We have been guests here for over 40 years and will remain so.Many thanks to the whole team.Update 7/25/24Today again with the e-bike along the Aar and the Lahn to eat and drink with the Buggle family in the country inn. As always, it is a holiday experience to be able to sit under the beautiful trees and enjoy the culinary results of the kitchen as well as the wines from the well-stocked and exquisite wine cellar 😋.We are happy every time and have never been disappointed so far 👍

The rating refers exclusively to the restaurant.Five of us (including a 1.5 year old toddler) had dinner during the week and sat outside due to the good weather. We liked the location and ambience and apparently other guests did too, because the outdoor area was well filled.The service left an ambivalent impression: on the one hand friendly, on the other hand often slow and somewhat inattentive (it took almost 20 minutes from the first time we ordered our drinks until they were at the table - with some bread and olives).There was also light and shadow when it came to food: the tuna starter was good, a little acid would have added additional freshness. The soup was tasteless. The main courses had a similar picture: the schnitzel with side dishes was good. The newbie's back was tougher than usual and it was even difficult to chew. Side dishes and sauce, however, were very good. The rump steak was also a bit dry and tough and above medium cooking, but here too the side dishes were convincing.The waiting times between courses were sometimes significantly long and when everyone at the table finally had their main course (served in a stretch of over 5 minutes), individual components were no longer warm enough.The real annoyance of the day came when ordering: two people at the table wanted to choose the menu offered, two only wanted a main course. According to the service, this was not possible because only an entire table could order the menu. Reason when asked: The kitchen wouldn't be able to coordinate it. I think that's absolutely unbelievable, any halfway professional kitchen is able to send starters twice and then all four main courses together once. When I then ordered the components of the menu individually, it was - miracle, oh miracle - possible. Apparently it was simply a matter of not wanting to sell the adjusted sizes and prices of a menu.In my opinion, this, combined with the dishonest communication, is a no-go for a restaurant in this price category. If the guests want some menus and some just main courses, this wish must be implemented - this is to be expected from a host at this price level.The bottom line is that the beautiful location and the cuisine have good potential, but ultimately the points mentioned above significantly tarnish the experience.

We were guests in the restaurant. The dishes on the interesting menu are very well implemented here. The kitchen knows its stuff! The tasteful experience is rounded off by the attentive, friendly service. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic. We liked it very much. We will recommend the house. 👍

Lovingly run, family-owned “country hotel” in a great location on the Lahn with a fantastic restaurant.Really excellent food that is not cheap, but absolutely “inexpensive”. We only passed by here more or less by chance, but we will definitely plan a visit at the next opportunity.

You can eat the best of the best here. Great creations and top service, personal welcome, very cozy and great atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is right.Addition: is still the best restaurant in the area. We also go out to eat really well when we're on vacation and try out new things, but to be honest... no restaurant can hold a candle to the bear. Continuous kitchen from Thursday to Sunday

We were here for dinner and were totally pleasantly surprised that there was such a good quality and beautiful restaurant near us. The food was incredibly good, not too big of a menu, which is always a positive sign for me! We will definitely come back and can definitely recommend a visit here.
