The Lahntal hiking trail is wonderful to hike. Unfortunately, at the destinations during the main holiday season, e.g. B. in September there are too few rooms and hardly any accommodation with style and flair. So either book well in advance or make do with what's left.After we found nothing for 5 people at the stage destination Obernhof in September 2024 and continued for another half stage to Laurenburg, four of us were able to stay in the hotel on the river and one slept in the Gasthof zum Lahntal. This is also the only restaurant on site.The operators are super friendly, the dinner (e.g. Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle) was quite okay, but the restaurant has long outlived its time and a renovation with expertise and preservation of the old wood paneling would be necessary. The single room for €65 (B&B) was clean and quiet, the single bed attached to the wall had a firm, comfortable mattress, but the interior and especially the bathroom are from the 1970s and have not been renovated. So close your eyes and keep your eyes open, after all we were hiking on the Lahn and not for wellness. We still wanted some flair.

The inn is located directly on the Lahn and therefore offers a great view of the river. The inn is run by a family and that has a positive effect on the general mood.The inn in general is a little old and impresses with its rustic style.The room was also rustically furnished, but large enough for two people. The bathroom was recently renovated and was really great.The dinner and breakfast were great and convinced me.Price-performance was right in any case.

We came here after a hike with the children and were well looked after and welcomed in a very friendly manner. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to pay by card, that would really be an improvement.

Great stopover on the Lahntalweg.For little money you can camp on the meadow on the Lahn, and you can get fresh cold beer upstairs. Breakfast possible in the morning, really nice operators, simple but extremely clean sanitary rooms, gladly again

Nice and accommodating, very friendly. I can absolutely recommend the house. We were there by boat, lay on the guest jetty and had dinner and breakfast here. It's really wonderful here

I used the inn to stay overnight in a tent on a Lahn bike tour. The inn and campsite are wonderfully located on the Lahn. The decisive factor for me was that I could camp and also eat something. However, IMHO the food in the restaurant is convenience food and neither good nor cheap. My Jägerschnitzel came with a whopping 3 slices of mushroom. In addition, the real camping prices are different than those stated on the website. The sanitary facilities looked clean, but also in need of renovation. All in all, I'll keep tramping next time.

We had a very good evening. All dishes were very tasty and well prepared (fitness plate - salad with turkey, cheese spaetzle, garlic baguette). Service friendly, prices good.

Stayed here for one night to hike on the Lahn hiking trail. We had originally booked the sister hotel "Lahnblick" (stage 17) but it was overbooked. The owner Mr. Tumanyan immediately offered to pick us up and bring us back to the starting point the next day, TOP service :-) Our room was simply furnished but absolutely ok for one night. Nice location directly on the Lahn. Food in the restaurant was wonderful. Good breakfast was served at the table. Booked well, especially on public holidays, so reserve well in advance.

We didn't take a room, we had already booked nearby in advance, but we had something to eat and drink here several times - the whole thing breathes the charm of the 60s to 80s, but in a positive sense, the service is very nice and everything runs smoothly , like the Lahn where you can sit directly if the weather permits, the food is simple but the beer is very good (Hachenburger) the boss impresses with his cheerful, natural charm - we wish you continued success!
