Anyone who has looked at Braunfels Castle should finally visit the Obermühle brewery in Braunfels. The interior is rustic and the hospitality is very good. The food is rich and delicious.A visit is worth it.My conclusion: highly recommended.👌

The Jägerschnitzel and the pumpkin soup were excellent! The schnitzel was large and perfectly prepared. The home-brewed beer was also impressive - there was a large selection and everything was very tasty. The service was extremely attentive, friendly and quick.Overall, a great experience that I would happily recommend!

Haven't been here for a long time as it really wasn't good last time. Today there were four of us, everything tasted good (Hessian meatloaf, burgers and Munich schnitzel), everything was good, especially meatloaf and schnitzel. BUT there used to be a side salad and the portions were a bit larger. We also miss the schnitzel with beer sauce that was available a while ago. Beer is very good. A little tip for the fries: tell them to stay in for 1-2 minutes longer. They made them and they were nice and crispy too.I was a little unsure whether I should come here on my birthday and everyone was happy.

I give the restaurant 3 out of 4 stars.I ordered the beef fillet on a heating stone for €32 and was actually thrilled. You get the heating stone with a good piece of raw and unseasoned beef fillet, which you can then fry yourself at the table with 2 small pieces of bread and 3 small bowls of sauces. But as a meat and steak lover, I would have liked a bowl of sauce and a little more bread for €32(side dishes must be ordered separately) and 1 bowl each with coarse salt and coarse pepper to season the meat to taste.Look at the salt and fine pepper shakers at the table, which were probably a few days old.The environment from the parking lot to the entrance was also not inviting. Therefore 2 stars deductedOtherwise everything is OK so far!

Cold food and overpriced :(The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here (beer garden). For the high prices, I would have at least expected warm and well-prepared dishes. Instead, it felt like my food had been sitting for quite a while before it was served. The service was friendly, but that couldn't make up for the poor quality of the food. The beer was warm and stale. You also have different expectations in a brewery. Overall it was a disappointing experience :(

Always delicious with friendly service. But the Nesterhebbes is special and unusual.

Very tasty food. The meatloaf with onion sauce is to die for. A manageable selection of dishes on the menu and also a good selection of daily specials. There are deductions for the schnitzel. In my opinion it was frozen goods and dripping with oil.Why not freshly breaded schnitzel? No salad is served with the dishes and no side salad can be ordered separately. We think that was different. All the waitresses were extremely nice and accommodating. The food was good (except the schnitzel) and the prices were acceptable. We'll still come back.😉

Coming from Weilburg, located at the entrance to Braunfels. There are enough seats in the restaurant indoors and outdoors.Parking spaces are usually full, but you can park along the main street (in town). There is a manageable selection of Hessian dishes. Prices are OK // Food is OK - but just OK.However, the home-brewed beer is actually recommended - especially the seasonal beer. But don't drink too much - it costs less than half as much indoors right next to the cash register - I think that's very cheeky - you feel a bit ripped off.Waiters are mostly high school graduates/students, so they're good and cheap, but they can't really answer questions meaningfully - they're just a temporary assistant.Payment is made inside. Cash and card are accepted. The lady at the checkout makes an unfriendly impression unless I pay a tip - but I like to give this to people who serve me and not to a checkout lady who I see for the first and only time during my stay.I would like the prices for drinks to correspond to those that I find indoors - I can open the bottle myself.
