The reason for the overnight stay was to visit a trade fair nearby.The hotel is located on a "main street" where you don't notice any of the noise.The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped.Price-performance fits.Friendly serviceRecommended!

Super clean rooms. Freshly restored. Clean bathroom with large shower. Friendly service. Lavish breakfast and good cuisine. What more do you want. I can only recommend!

Checking in took over half an hour, the staff was completely overwhelmed, and the rooms that had been booked were no longer available. Some of the rooms were nice and clean, but some also had mold in the bathroom and were damaged. In the hotel restaurant, three of the four dishes ordered were not available... The schnitzels were not worth the money, small and drowned in fat. The portion of fries that came with it was more than manageable and was also swimming in fat. The spaghetti Napoli was cooked soggy and - oh wonder - greasy. Instead of a white wine spritzer that was ordered, first a wheat and then just a white wine was brought. If you like warm, non-carbonated beer and foam, this is the place for you. Breakfast for ~15€ per person Had to be booked separately and was also pretty clear.The hotel is right on two main streets, so it was anything but quiet.Absolutely not recommended!

The hotel is very simple and charges a lot for what it offers. The breakfast is poor. There is no elevator. There is not enough parking. The bathroom in the rooms is very bad.

We stayed here for one night for a concert. The rooms are quite nice. There are enough public parking spaces nearby. However, the service wasn't that friendly.

EDIT:On the day of departure, the manager apologized and admitted that the text on the website was misleading. Therefore, I am correcting my rating by +1 star in the overall rating and +2 stars in the service.*I hope that the text on the website will be changed accordingly...*Original review:The website says “The tasty breakfast buffet is included in all bookings […]”Unfortunately, not even the boss has ever heard of it!No insight was reached in the discussion at reception. We were fobbed off with the justification “that price never includes breakfast” & “look at this or that portal, it says that!”But I didn't book through a portal but DIRECTLY on the website. (BTW: the room is cheaper around the corner and breakfast is already included!)Instead, we were told that we could still cancel the booking free of charge; However, this does not correspond to the text in the booking confirmation that I received: After that I would have had to pay €71.20.We then booked breakfast for ~14 euros per person.If it hadn't already been 10 p.m. we would have left again.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at the Stadthotel in Alsfeld and I absolutely loved it! The crispy chicken burger with fries and nuggets was a real treat. To top it all off, I was served delicious vanilla ice cream as a dessert on the house! The quality of the food was excellent and everything was freshly prepared and deliciously seasoned. The crispy texture of the chicken burger was just perfect and the fries were nice and crispy. The restaurant itself offers a pleasant atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and attentive. If you are in Alsfeld, I recommend you visit the city hotel and try these delicious dishes. I will definitely come again!

I can only advise against this hotel.The hotel's homepage speaks of "lovingly furnished rooms" that have recently been renovated, "newly designed bathrooms" and "comfort". The single rooms themselves were advertised as having “a comfortable bed, beautiful furniture, friendly colors.”Well...A year before the planned stay I booked a single room. When I arrived I was told that they were completely booked and unfortunately they could only offer me the smallest room with a separate bathroom in the hallway. It was also not possible to give me another room.The room itself was tiny with a small bed and looked more like a broom closet converted into a room.The bathroom was also rather manageable, with no storage space for clothes or the like, a shower head that didn't hold and holes in the ceiling (see photo). I don't think it makes sense that - if I want to use the bathroom at night (or in general) - I have to take a key and the card for the room with me and walk across the hallway. If I want a hostel experience, I also book a hostel.The owner's objection was that I would pay the cheapest price (10 euros less than stated on the homepage). The owner couldn't understand why I didn't make the prices and of course book the price that was given to me. There was no offer of compensation (breakfast, discount, etc.).Conclusion: Better avoid the “Stadthotel Alsfeld”.
