We used the accommodation for one night during a cycling trip to the Krušnohoří Mountains and I can only recommend it. The accommodation in the adjacent campsite is great, the use of the covered gazebo with the fireplace is also great, and the simple breakfast is also excellent. Everything can be arranged in advance, we will definitely come back. I can only recommend.

The room itself was nicely furnished, relatively spacious, and the bathroom with shower was clean. Large flat screen TV and refrigerator. Double bed plus pull-out sofa bed. The bed linen was comfortable and clean, but the mattress was noticeably old, as it had extreme pilling and lint formation, which was noticeable through the sheet, very unpleasant. It felt like there were hundreds of crumbs in the bed. In my opinion the breakfast was catastrophic, bread from the day before. Choice limited to the minimum. No rolls or white bread, just mixed bread, hard croissants and raisin broiche. Only salted butter, which didn't go well with the croissant, homemade jam in old vegetables, a mason jar that still had the label from the carrots in the jar on it, from which I conclude that this jar had not been boiled beforehand. There was a plate of cold cuts with cheese, salami and sausage. Muesli, the last crumbly residue in the bag, a few bananas and apples. We were kindly given some lunch as we were very hungry from the journey. But which one wasn't on the menu or the restaurant wasn't open at that time? I can't say exactly because the cook didn't speak German and we couldn't really communicate. As kind as that was of her, unfortunately it didn't taste good. Which is why we ate something from the supermarket for the evening. (All restaurants in the area were closed) The owner, who speaks German, came along later, but there was no trace of friendliness. It seemed more like she wanted to be left alone or as if she didn't care about anything. The yard was nice, there was a trampoline and a playground. Sweet big dog, the friendliest of all the "staff ;-)" The surroundings were also great, beautiful forests. Since the price was quite reasonable, only 2/5 stars because the price/performance ratio is not justified.

A very nice place on the border with Germany.Ideal for cycling and hiking. The entire area is maintained. The services are perfect, you can agree on anything with the owner. It is not a constant traffic, so it is better not to drive blindly.Very good kitchen, possibility of outdoor barbecue, nice rooms with comfortable beds.I recommend.

Kalek Castle has been our overnight stop on the Krušnohoří cycle path for several years. We are always satisfied with the accommodation and meals. This year, we give great praise to Mrs. Alence for her excellent baked potato oven and for the divine pancakes like from mom🌼🌼🌼 Picture of the church of St. Wenceslas settled in a lovely landscape is the gift of this place.

Small, inexpensive family hotel with clean, simple rooms and good cuisine, nice owners. The hotel is located a little away on a hill just behind Kalek, dog and cat included

Very nice accommodation for family reunions or other types of meetings. However, the overnight guests who are sleeping in the hotel should already know each other, as it is very noisy. The owners are super nice and try to fulfill every wish as best they can. The nice thing is that as a family you are as private as in a holiday home, but with the amenities of a hotel. The food is good and traditional Czech. However, it can get a bit cold in winter. But in general you can say that this accommodation has its charm in both summer and winter and you get your money's worth in every season. Pure relaxation.

Nicely renovated barrack with generous spaces and nice rooms. Operated somewhat improvised. The beds are comfortable, the equipment of the rooms is slowly leaving. Poor to poor breakfast. Dinners could be bought better and cheaper in the area. Due to the beautiful surrounding nature and the lack of other accommodation, this is an acceptable option for spending a long weekend.
