Top address close to the center with a delicious breakfast. Only the bowling alley in the basement can be loud on the weekend until 2 or 3.

Beautifully located in the countryside, very quiet and large rooms. The staff is super friendly, extremely helpful and very accommodating even in crisis situations! We had to leave early due to illness in the family and everything was made much easier for us, including the fact that, despite making a reservation via a portal, we only had to pay for the nights we had already spent. The breakfast is delicious and varied, the entire hotel is very clean. If air conditioning is added to the rooms now, then that's perfect :) Always happy!

We have been coming to Bitterfeld every year for a festival production for four years and staying at the Hotel BernsteinSee. The team is always incredibly warm, helpful and accommodating. We feel very comfortable and are happy to come back every year.

We were in Bitterfeld for work and were accommodated in the hotel. Arrival was okay, but there was the first surprise. Apart from Monday, the reception is only open until 3 p.m. every day and after that you have to clarify everything by phone. If the battery fails, you're stuck there and can't move forward. Keys were stashed in a safe outside behind the hotel. Not particularly inviting for me. Especially with the prices for the room. The rooms are large, but outdated and not very inviting. It also smelled a bit stale. Had to ventilate first. There were large cracks in the wall right next to the front door, water stains on the bathroom ceiling (old water damage?) and I'm honestly not a fan of having 2 beds and only one with sheets. It doesn't seem inviting. The second bed linen was stripped and lying in the closet. What I actually found a bit disgusting was the water. I was surprised that there was a bathtub and my colleagues and I all wanted to use ours in the room. We all ran our tubs and only noticed minutes later that the water was YELLOW coming out of the tap. When I got into the bathroom, the tub was half full of yellow water. It looked like pee. I thought I was the only one, but it turns out my colleagues had the same problem. After that, I didn't even dare to use the tap to brush my teeth. 😅What also bothered me personally is the old system with room keys. Almost all hotels now have cards to open the rooms. So it's not so easy for a stranger to get into the room. Here, however, it is quite unsafe for me.Once unlocked, you have to actively lock the room when you're inside, otherwise anyone from outside can just walk into the room. Press the latch and go in. No protection. For breakfast. For the price of the hotel room, I actually expected a little more for breakfast. Little choice.Given the size of the hotel, I find the buffet area very small. When everyone comes and wants to have breakfast, you quickly run out of options and the choice is just a bit limited. Just one juice to choose from? No apple juice or orange juice. Just multivitamin. There was a bit of cold cuts, only 4-6 of each type, and some of the rolls were just baked goods. As far as I saw, no hot chocolate or cocoa. Now standard in hotels.Yes...you get full, but nothing more.Personally, I also found it a bit strange that employees sometimes stood at guests' tables for ages and talked to them. During our entire breakfast of about 40 minutes.A bit strange in the already somewhat narrow area and I didn't really want to hear the conversations.I also find the breakfast times from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the weekend anything but practical. We were supposed to start working at 8 a.m. but had to postpone it by an hour because of the late breakfast. If you're in Bitterfeld to work at the weekend, you've really got the A card here. 😅All in all, the hotel was okay, but for me personally it wasn't something I would go to again on my own.
