This hotel, a short bus ride from the center of Leipzig, welcomes guests with open arms. The theme of the facility immediately catches the eye. Inevitably you feel as if you have arrived in the jungle. The theme runs through the hotel...Our room had an exit onto the communal balcony to the inner courtyard... which reinforces the feeling of home with lots of greenery and participation in the lives of those living around us. The beds were 50/50 😃...too soft for my husband...I found it cozy. The breakfast in the interesting hall was excellent. Super fresh rolls... not just baked... my father-in-law's personal wish for a soft egg was fulfilled to his complete satisfaction. The service employee was extremely friendly and was happy to exchange words. Leipzig is a great city. Bus number 89, stop 3 minutes from the hotel, takes you to the center...train station and back again. It couldn't be easier, even for those unfamiliar with the area.The car can be parked in the in-house underground car park during your stay for a reasonable fee.Leipzig is absolutely worth a trip.... and if you're accommodated so well, you'll be happy to come back.... we've already noted that...

I stayed at the AMEDIA Hotel for two nights and first of all I have to say that the hotel is pretty well connected to public transport despite its location in the south. You can reach the 89 towards the center on foot in under 10 minutes. REWE, LIDL and various restaurants and bars are also very close by.I was put in the Flamingo Room (#304) and overall the room looks really nice. However, the room is very dark overall because there is no central ceiling lighting. Even if you switch on all the lamps, it often remains an unfavorable light for working. The French doors can be opened to the emergency staircase and it is somewhat problematic that this could also be used to access the neighboring rooms. Of course, this isn't a very good solution - so I mostly closed the curtains, which is really suboptimal in such a dark room. It is clear that a fire escape has to go somewhere for fire safety reasons, but in this case you should ensure that there is proper lighting.The breakfast is mediocre at best and overpriced at €19.90. There are sticky rolls and bread, the classic cheese and meat platter, scrambled eggs, muesli, yoghurt and warm meat - there is nothing there that would justify the luxury price. Except maybe the container with the breakfast specialty "NIX" (see photo). The interior of the hotel is very nice, especially in the lobby, at the bar and in the breakfast area.I experienced a bit of cheek when I left this morning. When I asked if you could call a taxi through reception, they said that was possible, but didn't tell me that it would cost anything. When billing, shortly before checkout, I got a surprise: I was charged almost €7(!!!!!!!!) for a “citytax” fee – please what!? If I had known that, I could of course have called a taxi myself (as a non-Leipzig resident, I just thought the employees would know better which taxi companies in the city were reliable). I had naively believed that such a simple service would be included in the price of the room. Charging €7 for a call and not mentioning this to the customer when inquiring but making it seem like a free service is really the worst thing ever. I would have even been willing to pay a reasonable amount for it, but to first hide it and then ask for such an overpriced price is outrageous.On my next visits to Leipzig I will not book this hotel again and would rather pay a visit to the competition.

It's really a shame not to provide good WiFi in every room. Didn't have a usable one at the end of the hallway. Everything was ok with the colleague in the middle. It's really incomprehensible to me in 2024 not to be able to afford a second router. The rest was ok, the quality of the equipment was mediocre but completely fine.

Good hotel for a city trip. You can easily reach the city center by bus or tram. We booked the combination package with the zoo. The hotel is furnished to match: everything with animal design, very attractive. Room clean, view of the green courtyard, very quiet, nice service, breakfast perfectly fine. Various restaurants within walking distance, as well as two supermarkets.

We spent a long weekend here. The hotel is very nice, the staff is always friendly and helpful. The room with air conditioning was a dream in the heat, very clean and nicely decorated. At breakfast there was something for everyone, scrambled eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, yoghurt and much more.We parked in the underground car park so that we didn't have to stress about finding a parking space. Instead we used public transport, which is easy to get to. So we were able to enjoy our time in a relaxed manner.

Expectations and star category not met.My room was nowhere near as nice as the pictures shown when choosing a room on the hotel portal.The “fancy” flamingo mural paired with a harmonizing wall color is probably intended to represent modernization.There are also a few currently fashionable lights in retro and animal style, which must be the cheapest Chinese goods in terms of design and production.The carpet is a matter of taste but visually reminds me of a rag covered in mold stopper ;-)The furniture and wall panels appear old and have been whitewashed to beautify them, which upon closer inspection looks cheap and poorly executed as there are frequent white blobs on them.Some cupboard doors hang crookedly, causing them to bump into each other and require force to be pushed into the correct position to close.The old, noisy refrigerator is poorly accessible behind two doors in a wardrobe.The table has a sloping top that slopes forward.The sink has 2 large cracks and the joints in the shower are discolored black.I find that unbelievable in a 4 star comfort room.There was a capsule coffee machine - next to it was a Nespresso box, but the 4 Nespresso capsules that were supposed to be in there were missing.The reception was not staffed 24 hours a day as listed due to a lack of staff.The sauna could not be used because it was out of service.It was terribly stuffy in the hotel, the hallways and the room.A ventilation system seems to be completely missing.The only option was to open a floor-to-ceiling tilt window a little, which meant that hardly any air could get in, or to open both window elements/doors completely.Behind it was the “balcony” which was also the fire escape.There is no separation from other hotel guests, which means that if the doors are open, any other guest could theoretically walk into their own room, which is not a good feeling.Positive:The bed was okay - mattress rather hard but good.(Duvet too warm for summer / bed linen standard / clean.)It was quiet.Conclusion:I will choose another accommodation on my next visit to Leipzig.

We booked as a group for one night in the hotel. It really is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are very attractive thanks to the great furnishings and the different photo wallpapers in each room. The breakfast was also very good and so was the service at breakfast. But the gentleman at reception needs to be explained again how guests are treated. Doesn't work at all. Totally overloaded and every word was too much.

First of all, my praise goes to the lady at reception. She was very nice and welcomed us accordingly. The room was clean and well maintained. You have your own small pad coffee machine in your room, where you can make yourself a coffee very early. I personally found it very good. 👍🏻 All in all, we were very satisfied and will definitely come back. ☘️

On June 29th, 2024 we reserved a room at the Amedia Hotel (... check-in from 3 p.m.!?). Since we were invited at 4 p.m., we arrived at the hotel early at around 12:15 p.m. When we asked about early check-in, we were told that we should report back at 1:30 p.m. After a tour of the southern suburbs, we arrived back at the hotel around 2 p.m.Early check-in was still not possible ?????????After about 45 minutes of waiting, we were able to move into our room at around 3 p.m.SERVICE IS DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!P.S. In most hotels (e.g. the FELIX Leipzig) early check-in is not a problem.

We were there for an overnight stay. You could park in the hotel's own underground car park. The room was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet. It was really great and a big compliment to the employees who were there.

The staff at this hotel is super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. And checking in and out is quick and easy. The distance to the train and bus was 3-6 minutes. A few points of criticism are that you cannot tilt the windows and without air conditioning it is very stuffy in the room in warm temperatures and the WiFi needs improvement. Otherwise we felt really comfortable and it was a great vacation
