Unique overnight stay in a rustic, restored, medieval farm in rooms with antique furniture and a very friendly host :)

We booked a double room for 4 nights on August 26th, 2024. On the day of arrival we were "unfortunately 12 minutes" too early, as you cannot estimate exactly when you will arrive at a distance of 500 km.We rang the bell, after a while a door finally opened and we were greeted with the words, "You are too early and we would steal the host's time!! After we had recorded in disbelief what the gentleman had said to us, we offered to wait outside in the garden, i.e. in front of the house, for the remaining minutes, but they only discussed it cheekily, boldly and loudly with us and kept repeating the " early" arrival aroundchopped. At some point the gentleman tried to go into the house to get the room key, butFar from it, he ended with the words we don't "suit" him, we don't fit together and we should cancel our booking immediately. He doesn't need anything like us.Of course, we were very happy to cancel our booking immediately and would like to thank you for the quick and uncomplicated booking process. We left this review to save other subsequent visitors from this bad experience.

This individual displayed highly inappropriate behavior, characterized by rudeness and discriminatory conduct. Upon our arrival, he made us wait on the porch under the pretense of checking his mobile phone, exhibiting an unprofessional and dismissive attitude, as though questioning our suitability as guests.Furthermore, he attempted to upsell a more expensive room in a manner that was both aggressive and unnecessary. We were simply in need of a clean and comfortable bed after a long journey. His conduct was entirely uncalled for, and it conveyed an attitude as if he were providing us accommodation without charge, which was certainly not the case.

A person's life's work, released for the lives of other people. Lots of love, hard work and individuality, united in period details. If you love living comfortably, simply and without any frills, if you travel in time and like good conversations, this is the right place for you. And finally: You should approach the sometimes very direct “charm” of the Saxons (Thuringians) with a little calmness! 😉

Unfortunately very unfriendly reception, normal questions were followed by pat answers.Rooms are nostalgically designed but kept clean. If there is movement in the house from other guests, the noises are transferred to the rooms, as it is a very old building. Not for us again, but ok for someone who is traveling through and needs to stay there for a night.

Fitters are not welcome. We are not a construction worker accommodation. Just tolerated. Rooms are entered despite please do not disturb and private things are rummaged through. Absolutely disgraceful. Go somewhere else but not here.

When checking in, we could feel the unpleasant atmosphere of the owner who seemed angry that we had arrived at the hotel - maybe he was having a bad day. In the morning, during breakfast, the owner was very nice and friendly, which saved this review a bit.Once there, it turned out that eating and drinking was prohibited in the rooms. You also cannot charge your phone or use other devices that require an electrical connection. However, the place itself has a unique charm - but you have to like this atmosphere. Everything in the rooms smelled of preserved antiques - it was difficult to air it out.A specific place
