Five of us (2 adults, 3 children) spent two nights in the Apple Ranch. When we first contacted us, everything was very friendly and uncomplicated.Getting there was problem-free, although the entrance sign wasn't that easy to see in the dark. Parking could be tight when full, but there wasn't much going on where we were, so we had plenty of space. I don't know if there will be additional parking spaces, but that's possible. The location is ideal for people who are looking for peace and quiet. It doesn't take long to drive to surrounding towns either. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and immediately felt like we were in good hands. Everything was shown and explained to us in detail. We were given two large rooms one above the other (on two floors) and decided on the spot who would be in the room with whom. For smaller children, you may need to adjust things so that they don't fall out of bed. There may also be fall protection, but I didn't ask about that. The house is already old and taller people sometimes have to duck their heads when climbing the stairs. Overall, it is simply charming and very lovingly designed. It is rustic and rather rural, so you could certainly find a few criticisms if you were expecting modern hotel accommodation. There were two bathrooms, a small one down on the ground floor and a larger one at the top. Everything was clean and well furnished. The rooms were also lovingly furnished and had everything you need. The mattresses were good and I slept wonderfully. There is a loft bed in the top room, right under the roof, which is pretty great for the kids. However, the stairs up are quite steep and narrow and should be used by children who can climb stairs really safely. We booked breakfast, which I can recommend, because the hostess serves a very tasty, nicely presented and generous breakfast.Behind the building there is a large meadow with lots of trees, cozy corners and lots to discover. There are also animals that are rather shy.Even though our stay was short, it felt like a mini vacation. The rustic character of the house together with the warmth of the hostess made the stay really nice. When we're in the area again, we'll be sure to check Apple Ranch for availability!Deserved 5 out of 5 for anyone looking for this type of accommodation.

The name ranch may not be appropriate. The operator is very attentive and friendly, that's why we get the fourth star. But it's clear from every corner that she's having a hard time running the guesthouse.

I chose this accommodation because it was on my bike tour and was also great in terms of price. Yes, I had an unintentional mishap. Which wasn't a problem because the hostess was very helpful and provided the washing machine. The breakfast is also excellent. Just like the rooms.I would be happy to come back.

I looked for accommodation and ended up in the Apple Ranch. The name probably comes from the many old apple trees. The rooms and the entire building have been lovingly prepared and renovated. The boss is a good hostess and fulfills almost all wishes. I felt very well looked after.

Very beautiful looking 200 year old building, which is decorated with many colours, providing a nice and cosy atmosphere. Friendly landlady. The breakfast is not included in the price but it tastes very nice and is prepared carefully. It looked very nice. Beautiful looking garden.

Rooms are cleaned very poorly. There are a lot of spider webs and they have been there for some time. Rooms have no facilities and the bed is very bad. Breakfast is far too little and the quality is very minimal. The location is reasonable and the building does offer opportunities, but it looks like nothing has been done about it for many years. Hopefully they will renovate it properly and ensure that the door openings are higher than 1.60.

We received a very friendly welcome after the actual check-in time and were shown everything in a relaxed manner. The old house definitely has its charm, but you should be aware that there are a lot of squeaks and creaks. The room price is now almost unbeatable.
