We had 4 nights. The room was relatively large, the furniture was old-fashioned and the carpet seemed like a relic from long-forgotten days. The bathroom with shower was large enough for two people to move around in it. The shower, on the other hand, seemed quite large due to its two folding doors, but due to the clear slope towards the entrance, you always had the feeling of tipping over against the doors. When you move in, the rooms are clean. We did use the daily cleaning service, but it was rather inadequate. The room wasn't vacuumed during the entire stay and the black lint from my arrival sweatpants lay on the carpet for 4 days.Arrived on Friday and bought 3 small glass bottles of water at reception for €2 each.On Saturday we drank the first one. After the room was cleaned, the bottle was gone, only the crown cap was among the remaining bottles. On Sunday the second bottle wasn't empty yet, the glass I drank from was still sitting on the desk, used after cleaning. On Monday the second bottle was empty, I put the corresponding crown cap on the empty bottle and placed it next to the full bottle and the old crown cap from the first bottle. The housekeeping helped here too, but the crown cap of the first bottle was still in its old place.Yes, it's only a few cents deposit, but I paid for the bottles with a deposit and would like to decide for myself whether I leave the bottles on the day of departure or not, the fact that they are accessed during the stay without consultation does not speak for the hotel. The breakfast was sufficient for a 3-star hotel and was in buffet form. It was offered externally by the restaurant “Ristorante Da Franco”. The selection was reduced and changed from day to day during our stay in the sense that the selection became even more reduced.Rolls = either stored incorrectly or repeatedly moistened and baked.Sliced bread gets firmer day by day.Vegetables: Tomato, cucumber and pepper (no onions)Fruit: melon, pineapple and plums, canned fruit mix.Sausage and cheese platter were sufficient, but without much choice. The ready-made salads served were of poor quality. The scrambled eggs were probably made with milkstretched. Some foods were suspected to have been used over several days, as not everything was cooled in the breakfast area and, for example, the chopped food became less and grayer every day. The quality decreased significantly over the days. There were oranges and multivitamin juice, milk and water, as well as filter coffee and tea.Cappuccino, latte or similar were chargeable.Breakfast cost €18 per person and in our opinion it was definitely not worth it.The possibility of using the dinner in the restaurant "Ristorante Da Franco" was limited to the day of arrival, the food was of inferior quality at highly inflated prices (Sunday and Monday were closed). Luckily there was no binding booking and so we were able to eat elsewhere on the following days. Here we can recommend the Sophienkeller and the Pulverturm. All in all, it's ok for a quick trip without any demands, there are certainly better hotels for several days or you can at least skip breakfast, there are much better offers in the city for the same price and cheaper.

On the occasion of our seminar group meeting from September 13th to September 15th, 2024, we would like to thank the hotel and restaurant team. The rooms are large and clean. The restaurant on the upper floor has very dedicated employees. There were over 40 of us and we were looked after very well despite the lack of staff (according to the chef, 2 employees canceled in the morning). The work of the cook and waiter was very well coordinated. When the chef had the time, he assisted the waiter. In the morning the chef conjured up a wonderful buffet. All respect for this work performance. Thanks for the great evening. We would be happy to recommend you.Klaus and Petra Braun

Nice hotel. A little away from the center, but very easy to reach by public transport. Very clean and tidy. Nice staff. Large, spacious rooms, unfortunately a bit outdated. Breakfast was OK. The scrambled eggs were terribly bad. But otherwise good selection. Tablecloths would also be nice outside on the patio.

We stayed here for one night. Since we traveled in summer, the room was very warm as there is no air conditioning. The rooms are very spacious and have large windows, the furnishings are old. The ladies at reception were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was okay - unfortunately wobbly scrambled eggs (as is increasingly common in hotels)...
