Hotel Am Waldschlösschen GmbH

We ate there and the quality wasn't always the same. I come from Bavaria, people wear traditional costumes, it's nice to look at, but the clothes are so wrinkled that the waitresses' aprons aren't ironed. That's not a pretty sight.

Location: Located on the Neustadt side of the Elbe above the Waldschlösschen Bridge. Located in an area of ​​office and industrial buildings. There is a connection to public transport.Hotel: Essentially consists of just ONE hallway on the top floor (which explains the sloping ceilings in the rooms) of an office building, which houses a brewery on the ground floor. The rooms can be reached barrier-free using an elevator. At the end of the hallway there is a small breakfast room with friendly staff.Reception: Located in a small annex building. Here you will find the key, information on orientation and the question about the desired breakfast time. Special requests regarding personal limitations such as lactose intolerance etc. will also be requested. All of this was very competent and helpful!Room: Given the price of €85.00 (in January 2024), the expectation of ONE person staying overnight in a double room was not excessive. The room also met expectations. It was clean, functional and appropriately furnished. There was little space to place the contents of the suitcase. But there are a record-breaking 17 (seventeen) clothes hangers. The only destination for the clothes hangers, however, was an open metal stand, such as is used for product presentations. A plus point was the comfortable bed and a star was given for the great view towards the Waldschlösschen Bridge. However, the view only works in the rooms with an even number 😊. With the window closed there is a remarkable level of silence. It could also be because the traffic is raging far down the Elbe. Even other hotel guests couldn't be heard and the hustle and bustle of the brewery on the ground floor couldn't be heard at all. By the way, the brewery and the hotel do not belong together. Nevertheless, I was allowed to take a glass of beer from the brewery to my room. This with the note that the hotel owner is a regular guest 😊!Bathroom: The simple and practical furnishings can also be found here. A big plus point is a water jet from the shower, which also deserves this name! Not, as has been the case so often, a sad dribble in the morning.Breakfast: No elaborate buffet, but an appetizingly prepared small breakfast selection per person. Egg salad, cheese, sausage and fruit with light and dark rolls were already on the table at the requested time.Parking: Either publicly on the surrounding streets, or for €9.00 in a nearby underground car park.Conclusion: Given the overnight price of €85.00 (including breakfast) in a great city like Dresden, you have to do without a hotel bar and minibar. For a short stay without any special requirements, there is a good price-performance offer here.

A little hard to find... a bit hidden. But otherwise great. The rooms facing the Elbe have a brilliant view, the staff is super nice and the breakfast is great! Public transport connection good. Gladly again.

We had booked a room, an apartment and a double room for a long weekend. The size of the rooms is great, as is the location of the hotel, with just a few steps you are at the train/bus stop. The breakfast was rich and delicious👍and there is a brewery in the house!Dresden is a beautiful city! We will be back.

We spent a weekend in Dresden for our city trip and chose this hotel.We had a nice, spacious room with a view of the Elbe and the old town. The bathroom is functional, but it gets quite tight with two people at the same time. Everything is really very clean! The breakfast is delicious, varied and sufficient, if something is missing it is made up straight away. The parking lot was very full during our stay, but a solution was found for that too. The staff was very friendly and helpful.The price/performance ratio is absolutely fine. We will definitely book a room here again when we are nearby.Thank you very much and good luck 👍🏻

Very nice hotel. It is small but the view over the Elbe is very beautiful during the day and at night. Can only recommend! WiFi a bit weak.

We went home again today and would like to say thank you very much for this wonderful long weekend.. the breakfast that is prepared is a dream and everything else that is requested is taken care of.. a very short walk to the hop on hop of city tour, highly recommended since it can be used every day until departure.. we did it twice and didn't regret it.,The parking garage at the semperoper (contiparkhaus) is ideal and super cheap for €6 all day and always right on site and directly at the semperoper. It was a wonderful short vacation and the Waldschlösschen and its staff contributed a lot to that. We would definitely come back
