I am very disappointed with this hotel and the entire visit. I absolutely cannot understand the positive reviews. The room was dirty, the bathroom was full of mold and the double bed was only half made up for single use. It was very unhygienic. Unfortunately, the breakfast was completely carelessly prepared and very reduced. The area was full of rubbish and seemed unclean. For me personally, staying overnight in Emmendingen is no longer an option.

Owner-managed establishment that has been visited again and again for decades and never disappoints. High-quality furnishings with designer products, many works of art to decorate the rooms. Very friendly employees.

I was there for 2 days for a medical examination... I can't write anything negative because they were all very nice and friendly. I was always told if I needed anything I could call reception to inquire. Thanks again.

This was by far one of the worst hotels I have visited.Her question is where should I start?The rooms are small and uncomfortable. The beds are small, and the small mattresses were too big for the bed frame. The towels are as dry as sandpaper. The breakfast for €10 was inedible as the buffet was very small and meager. Apart from the fact that there were few rolls, they were also hard. This also applies to the selection of cheese and spreads, there was hardly any and when you ask to fill it up you are just complained about!And if you express your criticism in a friendly manner at the reception, it will not be taken into account but will be seen as an act of attack. Very unprofessional. You can't fill out a form because no pen is handed out because and I quote "the pens are always stolen, that's why there isn't one there and I can't give one out". You can't be as stingy as this hotel to get a pen for 10 cents, it's not Mont Blanc?!Therefore I cannot recommend the hotel at all!!!

Contrary to the description on the website, there was no one at the reception from 1700 onwards, not even in the morning after the meager breakfast. The coffee from the thermos flasks was not good. TVs with subtitles that couldn't be turned off. Dilapidated environment with rubbish in front of the door opposite. You can book it, it's standard for a village. More business, kind of? Nope.

Very simply furnished rooms, no bedside tables, instead a round glass table on one side and just a floor lamp on the other side. The mattresses are different heights, the blankets too, one thin, the other thick. A simple table served as a desk, and two simple wooden chairs without seat cushions were available for seating.The bathroom was also very simply furnished, plastic shower curtain too short, the water spread outside. Not enough storage space at the sink for personal care items. There was an unpleasant smell from the open drain in the tiled floor in both rooms. No stool, no hanging/laying option for personal laundry.2 hangers per person in the closet. No hangers anywhere. However, positive: Nespresso machine with one portion per day. and 1 fl. water/day TV ok, very good picture/sound.Breakfast was very clear and enjoyable: the rolls were crispy and fresh.The staff friendly.Conclusion: Hotel of the 70s. We wouldn't stay here again. Emmendingen, you have to improve there.

I gave one star because I had to but the hotel was super weird when we arrived there were lots of people with a pianist first night it was a good night except that we woke up with bruises that looked very similar to fingerprints so far nothing alarming but when we wanted to have a second night we had to change rooms and the electricity suddenly cut off just in our room we went to eat outside and when we came back it there was still no electricity we decided to go down to the rescription to contact someone to repair it no one answered but a person arrived at the rescription it was there as a resident of the 3rd floor I asked him what what was happening he replied to me that he did not know because he was NOT a member of the hotel but kindly wanted to give us a light to end the night we thanked him before for his kindness he left and came back down for 5 minutes Afterwards at the reception, telling us that he wanted to help us with the electricity in our room, they accompanied us but did not find any problem, he even showed me the electrical panels. Being an electrician, there was no reason why there was no electricity in our room. In short, after telling us that there was nothing to do, he came back to knock in our room once again, giving us a key to another room, even though he told me at the beginning that he was NOT part of the group. hotel staff and that the hotel was supposed to be full I felt very bad so we decided to leave the minute it followed I don't recommend this hotel I don't know what's going on there don't go there . In addition, the hotel was supposed to be full when I left the hotel around 9:30 a.m. the cleaning lady had cleaned all the rooms and I did not notice any rental signs.

We were all traveling through southern Spain and needed a hotel to stay overnight for our last stop.I booked the hotel through Booking.com for 2 adults and 1 child.The booking was confirmed on Booking.com, with the note that children stay in this room free of charge if they sleep in their parents' bed. No problem for us.Beforehand, I clarified by phone whether check-in after 8 p.m. was possible. This was made possible by a safe and the previously communicated PIN. Everything's great so far. Rooms were fine and clean too. To our surprise, the sofa bed was included so that our child could spend the night there. (This was not something we wanted or requested!!!)The next morning I went to reception in a good mood to pay for the night.Via Booking.com it was €89.90, which was previously confirmed by the hotel operator.Now we were informed that it would cost more than €89.90, as the sofa bed had been prepared so that the child could sleep there. I pointed out that this was not what we wanted and that it was not stated anywhere in the booking confirmation from Booking.I was just about to ask how much more it would cost when the older hotel operator shouted at us during the recession: "Then we'll make €89.90 if you promise never to come back!!!".I was shocked that people treated their guests so unfriendly. He shouted at us at reception in front of our son.An absolute nonsense for me! I might have been willing to pay the extra share, but not when they shouted at us in such an unfriendly way after asking nicely.Of course we will comply with the request of the extremely unfriendly hotel operator and NEVER visit this hotel AGAIN.I absolutely advise against visiting this hotel!

The room we had was quite large. The view of the park is ok, but of course very quiet at night. There were black spots on the frame of the window, I don't want to judge whether it was mold. The mattresses were absolutely fine. But too small for the bed frame. The bathroom is suitable for disabled people. But there is a bracket on the shower rail that doesn't fit onto the shower rail and therefore doesn't hold. Breakfast costs €8.50 per person. The selection doesn't fit at all. There was a rather rough tone when checking in. This is also known to be friendlier. Furthermore, there is always a very strong smell of cleaning or detergent in the hotel. The garage could not be used because, according to the statement, it was completely occupied. But as you noticed, the hotel wasn't full. You were allowed to park on the street for a fee.So in summary: the service is ok. But there is a friendlier way. The rooms, without breakfast, are too expensive. The fact that breakfast costs extra and is so sparse is an outrage and is absolutely not justified.

First the positive:At first glance, nice, large room with a view of the park.It was quiet, the night was relaxing.The beds were comfortable.The bathroom is wheelchair accessible.When we checked out we were greeted nicely.Points of criticism:At second glance there were black spots on the window frames, possibly moldYou couldn't attach the shower head in the bathroom because the holder didn't hold.The mattresses are still too short for the bedsBreakfast costs extra and has very little choice for the price and is nothing special.The check in wasn't very friendly.All in all, too expensive for what you get.

Comfortable, functional rooms with everything you should need for a short business trip. A nice breakfast is served daily and the staff of the hotel are lovely and very welcoming. The hotel is well placed with only a short walk to the train station. We did have to message ahead to advise the staff we would arrive late for check in, but they were able to make arrangements for us and we had no trouble accessing our rooms. The hotel also houses some intriguing art.

Room was clean, cozy und has enough space for one person. There's electricity sockets on both sides of the bed.Wi-Fi connection overall good.WC was clean.You reach the hotel 8-10 min walking from Railway station. And there's direct connection from and to Freiburg main railway station.
