The hotel is a little smaller than many of the hotels I have visited so far, but the appearance is timeless and it is cozy too. However, my room was so small that there wasn't even a usable desk. The kettle and tea set stood on the small shelf. If you put the closet (which is very wobbly, by the way) in the corner behind the entrance and bathroom doors, you can put a slightly larger desk than the one you currently have between the corner and the bathroom. Also, as some have already noted, clothes hooks for jackets or hats/caps wouldn't be bad; there would be space for them if you hung the picture on another wall next to the door. The reception is only staffed for a few hours a day. You then have to check in at the terminal in the entrance. Note: if someone else has booked with a different name on booking.com you need the name and not the one for which the booking was made. But the machine itself is self-explanatory.There is no breakfast either, but there is a small bakery around the corner and the city center is not that far, and public transport is around the corner.Unfortunately, Heidelberg does not have a promenade on the Neckar, at least not one where life blossoms in the evenings, only a popular route for joggers and cyclists on the northern side (there is even a skate park under a bridge).

We booked a triple room and got a room on the ground floor with a wide window to the street. The blurred glass and the blackout curtains created enough privacy. Plus, the street was not busy. The hotel is quite close to the main station so it was easy to get there by train, but to get to the historical part of the town we had to take a bus.The rooms were pretty clean, but the water in the shower wasn't draining well. As mentioned in the reviews before, there are indeed stone floors, which wasn't a problem in the summer, and the furniture is cheap but functional. There was a mini bar which was broken (lights were on, no cooling). This was a disappointment, since we bought some food that required refrigeration. The AC worked well (we visited during a heatwave), and the beds were ok.

Rooms are ok for one night; Everything you need is there and clean too!Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit noisy, so you can clearly hear when the room next door is having fun ;)

We had the one bedroom apartment from May 9th. until 05/12/24.It is on the ground floor and is tiled, which unfortunately means the floor is freezing cold. There was a trail of ants running through the apartment...sometimes they were in the bathroom, sometimes in bed. It wasn't quite as nice. The bathroom is not for tall people. At 1.94 m you have to bend your knees slightly to shower. The room has two normal windows, there are shutters in front of them. Unfortunately, these are of no use at all, as the roof windows cannot be darkened. There are some red fabric curtains in front of them, but two of them couldn't be used, so it was as bright as day in the room from half past five in the morning. Sleep was no longer an option. We complained about this, but nothing was remedied. The red things really needed to be vacuumed because they were incredibly dirty. The furnishings were otherwise the cheapest option from Ikea. Not a nice chair to sit on, just two plastic things. So we definitely wouldn't book this room again...especially for the price quoted. To the owner's answer from May 19, 2024:You definitely can't blame the staff here. The young man immediately noticed the problem and contacted the boss. All that came from this side... "It would work, you just have to jiggle it a bit." So problem solving looks different. Especially since it will probably still be as bright as day in the room when the two red things close. They are not made for blackout.

Some rooms are small but very clean. Super friendly hotline even at 2230h. My daughter walked out of the room and forgot the room card. The problem was solved quickly. Thank you very much.

Rooms are small but actually clean. Friendly service that helps you even late in the evening. Finding parking spaces is rather difficult as there is very little.

A nice little hotel on a quiet street. The location is great - 3 minutes to the nearest bakery Bäckerei Riegler on Kaiserstraße 76 and 3 minutes to a great restaurant with local cuisine - Schwarzer Peter on Römerstraße 34. It's also only 12 minutes on foot to the start of city center. The facilities were great. The mattresses were a bit too soft per my taste, but that's just me and mine spine. The room was clean and warm.
