By far not a boutique and wellness hotel!Rather nice, pretty and friendly family guesthouse with home cooking and sauna. With a lot of room for improvement.-Suite booked for 3 people (family father with 2 tennis daughters) (room only prepared for 2) after a complaint, the 3rd bed was subsequently prepared but towels were forgotten- for bath towels and bathrobes (sauna visit) you can walk again from the attic to the reception (the second time after I complained about the third lack of sleeping space, no one could be reached at the reception by phone) and pick them up (no elevator) . In other houses these are available in the room.- Suites advertised as 27-40 sqm, we felt like they had 27.1 sqm- no room service! We had 1st bottle of water and the same (2) glasses for 2 days and 3 people also for the tea provided to make themselves- Restaurant (80s charm) Kitchen was ok thanks to the very manageable menu but service also has a lot of potential for improvement (Cola bottles were carried and placed at the opening, side dish (mashed potatoes were out => was simply replaced with spaetzle without any information). )Nevertheless, a positive note should be made: delicious home-style cooking, everyone enjoyed it- Wellness hotel is also far-fetched! It has a beautiful (new) sauna with a great terrace and beautiful views. Period, that’s it!There were glasses ready for water and tea but where was the water? Oh yes, from the tap next to it… OK and how do you make (the provided) tea without hot water?-The massages offered were completely booked for several days => we would have extended one day upon arrival but unfortunately no massage(s) could be booked there either. When I checked in at 3 p.m. I was told at reception that something might be possible... she would look...Unfortunately I never received any information => no rejection either! It's a shame the house had potential! However, I will not book it again. And please spare me your snappy and petulant answers (to my constructive criticism of your house) as well as to all the other reviews here on Google that you don't like. This shows unprofessionalism.Use the energy to improve your service.A little tip for the future... in 2024 it could also offer charging options for electric cars...

The hotel is located in a very idyllic valley. There are very few cars on the country road. Our children especially liked the playroom. Food was delicious, service was very friendly.

After booking via a well-known booking portal, we received an email from the hotel announcing, among other things, a voluntary tipping fee of EUR 10 per night/room. It may be that this is common practice in the USA or on cruises, but we don't like it at all...unfortunately it makes a negative first impression. When we arrived at the hotel (5 p.m., arrival possible between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.) our room had not been cleaned, the beds had not been made and the towels of the guests who had occupied the room before us were still on the floor. It was then quickly made up for, with the emphasis on quickly. In order to bridge the time and correct this faux pas if necessary, we would have appreciated a little attention at the bar. Instead we were allowed to watch the service staff cleaning the rooms. Unfortunately, this negative impression lasted throughout our entire stay. Whether when ordering in the restaurant, something was unfortunately missing from the menu, such as a cold shower in the room in the evening after the sauna or the lack of bathrobes for the same.Let's come to the positive: Great location at approx. 600m altitude in the middle of the great, quiet nature of the Black Forest.Large room with balcony and huge walk-in shower.Modern sauna area with relaxation area both indoors and outdoors.Free parking, which is unfortunately no longer the rule these days. Conclusion: A nice hotel in the middle of great nature to relax. Unfortunately, the things listed spoil our stay. Here you could have collected bonus points with warmth, a little attention or a certain courtesy... you could have had a bicycle chain. We have therefore completely eliminated the voluntary tipping allowance.

Nice big room, was great.Vital salad with turkey, some of the turkey was already black. It also has to be said that if there was mayonnaise dressing on everything, then we wouldn't have ordered it. The breakfast was then very good and perfect.

Nice location, but outdated grounds. Sticky table surface. Toilet fittings both on the ground floor and in the room yellowed. Old furniture, thin mattresses. You hear your neighbor snoring. Lots of insects in the playroom. Expensive drinks. No shops in town. TV in the room didn't work. WiFi very weak.

nice location, unfortunately not quiet due to the street. I can confirm the negative room reviews. The employees are rude and not very accommodating. I won't be coming back, despite the newly designed wellness area

Beautiful property nestled in the middle of the Black Forest. A spectacular view, lots of greenery, silence and tranquility in this little gem not to be missed. Large, spacious, bright room, with two windows and a French door leading onto a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the wonderful view, living room in the room, large wardrobe, various furnishing components useful for placing luggage and other objects. The bathroom was spacious, comfortable, with a large sink and a nice large shower. Comfortable bed with different types of pillows provided to meet guests' needs. There is no air conditioning, it is not necessary because it feels great, the temperature in summer is optimal. Varied breakfast with good quality products, both sweet and savory, (excellent bread!). The staff is always helpful and very kind, ready to help guests. All the necessary indications and information were communicated to us in advance and clearly. For an eco-friendly policy they leave the customer the choice of having the room cleaned on request, daily or only if necessary. We chose to have dinner two evenings at the hotel restaurant and had a good time: excellent platters of local cheeses and cured meats, very good tomato soup. Average prices. But having an aperitif there in the open, in the cool and in the middle of the forest is regenerating. Free parking is available right at the property's driveway entrance. There is no elevator, but staff are ready to help carry your luggage up if needed. The wellness area with sauna is also very nice, clean and welcoming, it is also nice to lie down to enjoy the view on the adjoining terrace.I would suggest to the managers the organization of walks or trekking in the surrounding area, to be offered to customers.A truly relaxing holiday. Thank you

Apparently there has been no television reception for months. Beds are way too low. There is no fridge in the room. |At breakfast, baked rolls and velag are added very hesitantly.|Offer for dinner is very clear. …
