A bit old. Who else has carpet in their rooms today please?? Single room with a real 90s single bed. This is really out of date. Reception staff super friendly. Breakfast lady rather unsuitable for the hospitality industry. If everything else is fully booked, you can go...

The stay at the Hotel Berliner Hof was simply great! The room was extremely clean and comfortable, especially the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was varied and offered something for every taste - even individual requests such as fried eggs were easily fulfilled. The breakfast area was beautifully designed and invited you to linger.Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff, who were always helpful and attentive. Overall a great stay – highly recommended!

I came here for one night to explore the city.I received a very friendly welcome and the first positive impression was also reflected in the room.The room was very clean, had a great bathroom, comfortable bed and a small TV.There was free water and gummy bears, and there were also earplugs to protect against noise, but I didn't need them.I'd love to come back because you're right in the city center and don't need a bus or train.

The hotel is centrally located, Kaiserstrasse and the castle are within walking distance. The rooms are in good condition and very clean. Overall, highly recommended.

Ideally located, public transport (buses and trams) were literally 2mins walk from the hotel. A lot of good restaurants nearby as well. The hotel is definitely aimed for business people or people expecting to spend most of the day out and about. Very friendly and helpful staff, good service, overall a good stay

Clean hotel, great breakfast buffet, even if it doesn't look like it from the outside. The staff very friendly. Everything is within walking distance. 3min. from the Europaplatz stop.

Small, oppressively hot room. The street is loud and there's a reason there are earplugs on the bed (thanks!). Reception is friendly, breakfast too expensive.I cannot recommend the hotel.

It was a very hot day and the house was probably very hot due to the long periods of heat. There is no air conditioning, but there is a table fan provided in the room. This ran for me all night long. You have to keep the windows closed (traffic, city center life). Earplugs are provided. I didn't need it because of the constant noise of the fan.The single room was comfortably furnished, small but totally OK. The bed is very comfortable, everything is very clean. What should be highlighted is the breakfast buffet, which really offers a lot. I was able to park my e-bike in the inner courtyard, which was closed off by a walker. There are also some parking spaces here (extremely narrow entrance!). Lift available.

We were there for one night for the castle light shows. The reception was friendly. The room on the 4th floor was very warm, even the fan provided little relief. When the window is open, the street noise can be clearly heard. It's quiet with the window closed.The room was very clean, especially the bathroom was extremely clean. The water in the room was free and the internet reception was excellent. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and of good quality. The service was very friendly and the room was very attractive.Absolutely great value for money, would book here again at any time.

We stayed at the Hotel Berliner Hof for 1 night because we attended a concert in Karlsruhe.Positive:-Centrally located hotel. Just a few minutes' walk to Schlossplatz/shopping street and various bars and pubs.- nice reception- With a resident parking permit you could park on the street for 5 euros for 36 hours- nice breakfast room, breakfast was okay (there was a lot for vegans!)Negative:- Hotel in great need of renovation (windows, shutters, shower, doors and toilet are getting old)- very loud at night (the beer academy is opposite, i.e. loud roaring until 3 a.m.). The earplugs in the room don't help either.- no air conditioning in the room, so very stuffy and warm- Shower is in the bedroom, the separate toilet without daylight has no ventilation extractor!- Bed linen did not smell pleasant- Carpet was dirty- Hotel parking lot: really very narrow entrance - but this was already pointed out in advance.- Absolutely not barrier-free (step at the entrance, very small elevator, shower in the room not at ground level)Conclusion: The Berliner Hof is fine for one night in Karlsruhe if you don't want to/can't sleep long (attending a concert). If you're looking for comfort/relaxation, you've come to the wrong place.

The older but renovated small hotel is located in a busy side street in the central pedestrian zone. It's never quiet here, buses pass by... that's why there were earplugs on our pillows rather than chocolates. You don't need more rooms than are offered here for a short stay. It's clean.At check-in we encountered a rude receptionist; you can do without it.

Room was good (very warm). Breakfast great.What was annoying was that if I paid in cash I had to pay a deposit of €100 (for whatever reason, I was on a business trip) and when I left there was no one there to give me the money back.

The breakfast is the best thing about the hotel. The rooms are very small and the heat in the rooms increases with each floor. The location is very central and yet relatively quiet.
