Nice, small, family hotel between the main train station and the zoo.A good starting point to get to the center, about 15 minutes on foot. Train and tram around the corner.The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. Drinks from the minibar are free.Rich breakfast, everything was delicious and always filled up quickly.We, a group of 15 people, all felt very comfortableI can fully recommend the hotel.

I would never book there. We drove from Stuttgart on Saturday to StadtgartenZoo KA with my family and grandchildren. We still had to wait for friends who were stuck in a traffic jam and had gotten a great parking space on the street. Unfortunately I had to go to the toilet because we had been waiting for three quarters of an hour. I went to the Avisa and asked to use the toilet, the lady at the reception said no. I went to the front of the castle hotel, I think it was a 4 star hotel, the lady at the reception was so friendly and nice, of course she allowed me to use the toilet.

A centrally located hotel with very friendly service, good value for money, self-check-in and free mini-bar. The breakfast was very extensive and tasty. Rooms were rather small, but clean and ok.Highlight: View of the zoo. Free parking directly in front of the house.

I was recently in Karlsruhe for work reasons and had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Avisa. My stay was entirely positive.The Hotel Avisa stands out from the large hotel chains as a charming and cozy hotel. The operator and her employees are extremely friendly.If desired, the rooms are spruced up every day and the minibar is refilled. The air conditioning available was also very pleasant in this weather.Particularly noteworthy is the breakfast at the Hotel Avisa. It was simply excellent! The selection was varied and fresh, from savory options to sweet treats. The quality of the food and the loving presentation started the morning perfectly.The location of the hotel is also very practical, as it is only about a 5-minute walk from the train station, and there is also the zoo and city garden directly opposite, which is definitely worth a visit. You can't hear the animals.Overall, my stay at Hotel Avisa was a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a refreshing change from the usual large hotel chains and manages to impress with its personal atmosphere and excellent service. I can recommend the hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in Karlsruhe.

I would even give them 8 stars! 😁 If I could.- so very friendly and helpful, let me move into a room earlier cs it hadnt been used. (I had a 18h trip behind me and a doc's appointment ahead of me, so really appreciatend that.)- free sandwiches (German ones, rich and nutritious ;) ) 24/7 for guests.- well working fridge, even in small rooms.- AIR CON! That's special in Germany, yet well needed in summer. And it works flawlessly.- seamlessly closing German type rolling shutters at the windows. Your room will be really dark at night.- Very quiet. Front: Quiet street, zoo park across. Back: Extensive backyard of a housing area.- Very close to most important public transportation hub of the city.Id come back here at any time.Definitely a GO! :))

The rooms are very clean and are cleaned daily. The single room is big enough, enough to sleep and watch TV in the evening.Unfortunately, staff is only present in the morning, but in the evening there are sandwiches and small sweets to take away. The staff is very nice and accommodating.The price-performance ratio is more than ok. I'll probably check in there again from time to time.

A great hotel. Very clean. Great breakfast. Friendly owners. Gladly again.Something I had never experienced before, fresh sandwiches laid out during the day and free for hotel guests. Likewise the minibar with 4 drinks. Also free for guests. This is refilled every day. Really strong. Fine. Keep it up.

While in Karlsruhe for a concert, a night was booked in this charming hotel.The rooms are clean and functional.The breakfast as an additional service is worth the price.The staff is very pleasant.I highly recommend this accommodation

Standard in a good location: The hotel's advantages include the central but still very quiet location at the train station and the 24/7 check-in using a machine - but no one from the staff can be seen after 2 p.m. My room (normal category) had a free minibar (but barely full) and a bathtub as a highlight. The bathroom furnishings in particular are very old and I would have liked the bed to be more comfortable (softer mattress, warmer blanket). But it was OK for the price.

Wanted to cancel the hotel at short notice, which was declared free of charge. After the online didn't work, I even went by. But there was only one machine waiting there, where of course you couldn't cancel...

Highly recommended, reliable online booking, secure access control around the clock, cozy modern room and comfortable bed, everything spotlessly clean, fresh and wide-ranging breakfast and very friendly reception and service at breakfast.And all of this in a great location, quiet, central, and a fair price.I'll be back.

Very nice family-run hotel with great charm.The terminal check-in was a bit bumpy as we didn't have the correct reservation number, but a phone call and a friendly staff member gave us the correct number so we were able to check in quickly.Breakfast is great and the staff is super nice and accommodating.The rooms are not very big, but they have everything you need, very clean and they clean every day. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the installation of the shower head, which is a bit out of place, as a result my towel always got wet before I dried myself.Big ➕, the free minibar, has become rare these days and is often overpriced, but here there is free service and free WiFi.The location of the hotel is great, directly opposite. from the zoo with a view inside if you have the room on the right side. Less walking distance to the main train station, many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Free parking directly in front of the house.My conclusion, definitely a recommendation, great price/performance ratio. If we come back to the trade fair in two years, this will be our first choice.

Nice, small hotel located directly opposite the zoo and a 5-minute walk from the main train station.Very quiet for the central location. You can't hear or smell the zoo either. We were able to watch the tree pandas from our room.The room was clean and very modernly furnished.A highlight was the breakfast buffet. Fresh, rich and very attractively prepared.We checked in ourselves using the machine in the entrance area, which worked without any problems.We can fully recommend the Hotel Avisa!
