Rooms are dirty, bed sheets full of dust and have lots of stains. 2 cm of dust on the cupboard. Only one socket per room and I sleep next to an open junction box. Cable gets stuck in my head when I sleep and the bed is almost falling apart. The one socket in the room is very loose. Light switch in the hallway has no cover if there is a cable fault, just 230 V in it.

We were with the class in the youth hostel in Karlsruhe. The food was ok. Unfortunately the rooms were very dirty. It was extremely dusty and hairy under beds. It looked exactly the same on the closet and on the windowsill. Some of the beds still had old covers and old chewing gum stuck to the bed. We had 2 rooms for 9 girls, connected by a toilet and shower. The shower was so small that it was unusable and a toilet for 9 people was also cramped. The sink smelled very badly, and there was also a very strong smell in the shared shower, although it was reasonably spacious and clean. There was only one power socket in the room for 6 people, so you should bring a multiple socket with you.

Stay 08/29/24-Staff very friendly-House is clean-Rooms are getting old: In summer, travelers should take a fan with them.In the medium term, the following should be renovated together with the university and state funding:-Ecological flooring-If you haven't already done so, connect to the heating network-new windows + insect protection-Asbestos renovation + wall insulation-->Core renovation: send my greetings to the MP Ba-Wü(!)For smokers, a smoking area/pavilion could be created away from the bedroom window building.

Not a good experience in all.I've been to many different hostels in my entire life and I have to say this was the worst so far.-The showers smell awful-the beds are painted, the bedding is full of stains-The sink is also full of stains-The floor is very dirty and there is a lot of rubbish lying around, even though the room has only been entered- I also don't understand how anyone came up with the idea of installing only two sockets in a four (!) bed room-I don't think I've ever encountered so many beetles and other small animals in one room in my life (including 2 hornets)In any case, there is still a lot of room for improvement here and until these deficiencies have been remedied, I do not intend to enter this youth hostel again.Still for breakfast; It wasn't really bad but nothing special either. Therefore 2 stars
