Very nice nice staff super local for weddings food super

We had a great stay at this beautiful castle! Since we arrived late (around 20:00 hours) we had to open the door ourselves but we didn't know that there was a door at the left side where you can use the key, so it took us quite some time to find the access. Despite this incident which is actually on us for arriving late, we had a great time here!The beds were so comfortable! We slept wonderfully and then had a great breakfast across the castle. The view is great and I would definitely come back with my family and dogs.

Dirty rooms...no storage space, only 1 closet and it was full of bedding, 1 clothes hanger, facility not maintained

I stayed in this guesthouse with my 5-year-old son from July 23rd to July 26th, 2024. I came across this accommodation by chance and thought my son would like staying in a castle. There are enough parking spaces on site. We then went into the castle because it wasn't clear to us where the reception was. The guesthouse is located on the second floor of the castle and can only be reached via a spiral staircase. Not a problem for us but perhaps difficult for older guests. There was no one to be found in the guesthouse, so we went back downstairs. There is a small local history museum on the first floor, where we found out that we had to go to the restaurant in the adjacent building.When we got there we were given the key to our room and told us the breakfast times.We had room 2 which was actually a small suite. The two of us had 3 double beds in two rooms. The bathroom was also in the front room. The rooms were simply but nicely furnished. The bathroom was a bit older but, like the rooms, very clean.To get some exercise, we played a game of football on a meadow in the beautiful, well-kept grounds. There is also a small playground, but it is more suitable for smaller children.The next morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast. There was no staff in sight but our room number was written on a table that was already in use. So I went towards the kitchen and tried to ask an employee if the table could be re-set. I had to call several times until someone came. The lady then told us to just sit at another table.So where is breakfast now? Other guests then showed us that there was a small buffet set up in a room at the back. Nothing special but enough for both of us.In the evening we went to eat in the next town, as the restaurant at the castle doesn't open until Wednesday.On the second morning, no one from the staff was to be seen, but we now knew how breakfast works.In the evening we ate schnitzel in the restaurant, which was really delicious.The next morning the same picture at breakfast.We ate out again on the last evening and then spent our last night in the guesthouse. The next morning we had breakfast and then cleared our room. I then handed over the key and we were wished a pleasant onward journey.In principle we felt very comfortable in the guesthouse. What I personally missed a little was the personal contact on site. Maybe a little instruction on arrival about what you can do nearby or simply approachable staff at breakfast. I also found it a bit strange that no one had cleaned our room on site in 4 days. It wasn't absolutely necessary, but I know it differently.I would have liked to have mentioned that when checking out, but I wasn't asked whether we felt comfortable and everything was ok.

We were here for dinner on Friday. We sat on the terrace, it was a very nice, comfortable place.The service was friendly and quick.

The restaurant offers fantastic food and ambience with super friendly service... Great!
