Usedom is always worth a trip. We were guests at the Hotel am Gothensee in Heringsdorf for a week. This hotel is not found in the first row on the beach but rather in an idyllic location on a lake, far away from the stream of holidaymakers on the lake promenade. If you want to go on holiday on the Baltic Sea and still enjoy nature in peace, this is the right place for you.The hotel is owner-managed and you can feel that in the breakfast, the cleanliness and, above all, the service. From September 3rd to September 7th, 2024 I wasn't near the beach for the first time, but instead stayed at a hotel in the hinterland of Usedom, the Hotel am Gothensee, and I have to say that I was impressed by the house, the location, the employees and the food in the restaurant. The breakfast includes everything you need for a good breakfast. The service staff are consistently courteous and friendly. The attached restaurant is really good. (Greetings to the chef). The house values cleanliness. The location is very nice and the view of Lake Gothensee is great, the outdoor area is beautifully landscaped and can be used for sunbathing, grilling or sports activities, etc.The boss is a good guy who is easy to talk to, has a good manner and gave me tips for the island and a food tip for my motorcycle trip. (Thanks for that!) . For me the house has everything you need and it's definitely not the last time I've been there. I'd love to come back. In short: "Simply a great house!" LG

Very nice and well located hotel with a very good restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is simply great. While eating on the terrace you have a beautiful view of Lake Gothensee.I can only recommend the Hotel & Restaurant at Gothensee.

I recently stayed at this hotel and loved it! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I found the bike rental particularly useful, as it allowed me to easily explore the surrounding area. A big thank you to the team for their support when our travel agent forgot the transfer. The rooms were also spotlessly clean. I can only warmly recommend this hotel!

3 star rated hotel. The location of the hotel is quiet. There is a nice barbecue area. Friendly staff ! Requests such as clothes hangers were gladly fulfilled. The breakfast buffet is constantly replenished. Completely satisfactory. SIMPLE 😊

When we arrived at the hotel, the boss gave us a very friendly welcome and offered us the room to view, which we then booked for twelve nights. The first dinner was very good, the menu offers plenty of variety, which is why we have eaten here every evening for a week and ended the evening with a cozy drink. The breakfast also offers enough choice for everyone and is accompanied by a very friendly team. We can only recommend this house for a relaxing holiday.

When angels go on a journey... Then they need a castle... And we found that in the Hotel am Gothensee❤️The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty… Extra requests were fulfilled to the fullest satisfaction… Whatever your heart desired… the beer was plentiful and flowing… The innkeeper Heiko and his wife Nicole were always willing to listen to us… after eventful days, the dinner was good value for money and the taste was a dream... after these wonderful events that we were able to experience, it was finallyTime to give a juicy review…We were able to experience this vacation twice in the Hotel am Gothensee. We are already planning the third vacation because a friendly relationship has now developed. All we can say is... let your mind wander and just enjoy your time there. Ten days of vacation in the "Hotel am Gothensee" and I'll start with the negatives, because I'm quickly exhausted... there's nothing to complain about, but nothing at all.It was the most pleasant stay you could ever wish for.The rooms were great, the breakfast was rich and good, and the food in the restaurant... for that alone I would give more stars than I have available. Here you still know something about cooking... super tasty.But the best thing are the hosts. Familiar, uncomplicated and just nice and friendly, you can hardly find anything like that these days. The quote from the great Goethe is absolutely applicable here: “Here I am human, here I can be”.Of course I don't want to forget the service staff, very nice and friendly.All in all, keep it up. A big thank you for the great time...and we'll definitely be back. Conny and Klaus say greetings from Bitterfeld.

We had a lovely short vacation. The breakfast was plentiful and left nothing to be desired.The room is small but clean. The large garden invites you to sit in beach chairs. You can unwind there.The dinner was also delicious and well priced.The hosts were always able to give good advice about excursions.We will be back.
