We had a lovely week at the Hotel Solthus. The staff in all areas is incredibly nice and accommodating. We visited the restaurant once for dinner. The food was very nicely prepared and tasted good. However, the upscale hotel cuisine with a small menu is not necessarily our cup of tea. So we ate out for dinner the rest of the week. We would particularly like to emphasize that a great breakfast buffet is offered every morning in the restaurant. Thank you for the lovely stay with you says the Wöller family from Schwerin

Definitely not a recommendation from us. We have never felt so unwanted as in this hotel. Maybe it's because we booked through a tour operator. In any case, only rooms are offered here that would otherwise not be rentable. The room smelled musty. When we complained on day 1, we were told that it had already happened on the 1st floor, but that it had subsided. On day 2 we were told straight away that we were just imagining it. The reception either referred us to the housekeeper, who just shook her head and ignored our suggestions. Otherwise she would have had to question her own performance or we should come back the next day and the Big Boss himself would be there. Maybe that should have frightened us? We helped ourselves with a miracle tree in a nearby supermarket and decided that we wouldn't let incompetent staff ruin our annual vacation. We understand service differently. We had the feeling that the seal of sustainability was only intended to save costs for cleaning. This is how e.g. For example, the room is only cleaned and towels changed every third day unless you object to this. The dreamy location promised was actually a view of a transformer station. Keeping animals in rooms with carpeted floors, cobwebs, silverfish in the bathroom and mold stains on the bathrobes rounded off our negative impression. Our summary: Gladly again, but never this establishment again!!! The restaurant has bold, really great cuisine. For this reason alone we decided to award a 2nd star.

Hello, if you want to relax and be pampered with culinary charm by the service staff, you have to go here! There is nothing missing here for relaxation. Stunning landscapes, friendly people everywhere you look and of course Nordic serenity. The design of the hotel alone is fascinating and the breakfast or dinner...amazing! We couldn't tell the staff often enough, we really enjoyed it. Because of our late arrival we received some nice attention. There is basically nothing to complain about. Thank you to everyone involved. We'll definitely be back.

With its thatched roof, the hotel is unobtrusively integrated into the beautiful nature of the lagoon. Beautiful room with balcony, panoramic view of the bay and the hills. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rich breakfast buffet with fresh, regional dishes. And for dinner, a small but nice SPA!

The Solthus is centrally located in the Mönchgut and a great starting point for many activities.The service at the house is very friendly and accommodating.Our renovated room had a beautiful view of the hinterland and the lake.

It is very quiet and relaxing there. Meal times are very early and food selection is limited. Eating out in town is difficult because the restaurants are often fully booked (even reservations were not possible) and no longer offer hot food after 8 p.m.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the right place for you. All employees are extremely competent and friendly. When things get tight, the boss lends a hand himself. We have been coming here for years and will continue to visit this beautiful hotel. The restaurant and kitchens also deserve praise. Keep it up...

Very nice hotel away from the tourist crowds! Super delicious breakfast and fantastic dinner! There is only a small menu, but there is something for everyone. We particularly liked the hospitality of the employees. Even though we were only there for one night, we felt like we had been there for days. That was absolutely beautiful! We'll definitely be back!!!!

We were there over the weekend and it's a really nice quiet hotel. You were greeted with a glass of champagne and that was something special. We've never had this before. You can sit outside by the water and enjoy the sunset. Really great. The rooms on the ground floor are up to date and on the upper floor are furnished in a rustic style. Everything clean and well maintained. There is a lot from the region for breakfast. Eggs, sausage, jam, everything was great! The price is a little higher but we were there in high season and that's just how it is.

In general you can have a very nice holiday here. Great location and starting point for bike tours. The staff is very friendly (except for one person), the breakfast was great, as was the wellness area.Now unfortunately for the negative part:Unfortunately, we were denied a restaurant visit for dinner on the day of arrival. Even after a personal conversation with the restaurant manager, this was not possible. She explained to me in a very unfriendly manner that there was no further capacity to serve us as house guests (!). The next evening we were left behind by her and only served after 40 minutes, after other guests who had come later had food and drinks.Another negative point was unfortunately the view from our room. If you don't pay a little money, that's a damn shame.The constant fan noise outside was annoying for me, but it didn't bother my family.The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. No chance to sit down at the table with the family and play something. The area is then closed. Last point: Aperol spritz (0.2 l) for 9.50 euros in the restaurant - inexpensive is different.Given all the circumstances, 2.5 stars would be absolutely justified, but unfortunately there isn't one here. Therefore 2 stars for the overall impression.

Very nice champagne reception, nice room with a view of the small harbor. Wellness and swimming pool absolutely great. Breakfast was great, finally including vegan/vegetarian products.When it comes to meat, attention is paid to organic quality. Very nice hotel.

Our only contact was at the concession stand during the live music in the harbor. The employee there was very clearly below the calibration mark when tapping beer. In response to our comment, he added a little more, but not to the full extent. We didn't hear a word of apology either.
