Unfortunately disappointing - quality has deteriorated significantlyWe were now on the 4th/5th. Once at the Strandhotel Ahlbeck, but unfortunately the service has deteriorated drastically compared to before. We spent six nights there and left disappointed.When we checked in around 8 p.m. there was neither a “hello” nor a “good journey” – just hand in the key card and that was it. The room was anything but quiet or clean. We couldn't open the balcony door because there were heavy smokers on either side of us, which made staying on the balcony impossible.The breakfast was also disappointing: the same selection every day and the coffee gets worse every time. The chairs in the breakfast room were partly very dirty. The room cleaning was also terrible - on some days the room was cleaned during our breakfast time at 9 a.m., on other days the room wasn't cleaned at 3 p.m. What was particularly annoying was the constant door slamming, which could be heard non-stop from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., especially from housekeeping - absolutely unbearable.When we checked out, we weren't asked how we liked our stay, nor was there a "thank you" or an invoice - just a request to pay the tourist tax and the parking lot.Unfortunately this hotel is no longer what it once was, which is a shame. We will look for alternatives in the future.

We had a deluxe room with sea view (5th floor) in 10/2023. Great, very clean and tidy and the entire hotel made an upscale and inviting impression. The staff, who felt like they were mostly Polish, were very friendly, attentive and committed. Completely consistent and repeatable.P.S. In 10/2024 everything was very satisfactory again. I would especially like to thank Mr. Jakiewicz for his little birthday support for my partner.

I'm honestly a bit torn, because on the one hand the location of the house right on the beach is great and the rooms are also nice. On the other hand, we had a room on the 1st floor just above the back door and the smell of cigarettes wafted in from those who can't leave the vice behind and don't want to be considerate, so ventilation was a bit difficult. A no smoking sign could possibly help here.The breakfast buffet is rich and the view is great. We recommend having breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Unfortunately, from 8:30 a.m. onwards it becomes problematic in terms of space. The restaurant in the same location on the 6th floor offers very attractive cuisine and a 3-course half board a la carte.The cozy, modern beach café could be used as a bar in the evenings.Unfortunately, the pool appears much larger in the hotel's advertising images than it actually is. With 4 swimmers the approx. 5x15m are well filled. There are 9 loungers. The separate sauna only holds 4 people and only has 4 loungers. This is far too little when the hotel is at full capacity on the weekend. Extended use from at least midday or 2. Sauna instead of fitness room could bring some relaxation here.Unfortunately there are also too few parking spaces. There are alternative parking spaces at the train station, about a 10-minute walk away.The staff is very friendly and always tries to find solutions.However: the guest elevator is reserved for guests! It is never a commercial elevator and especially not at breakfast time! There are people who depend on it and it is extremely unpleasant to have to travel with laundry and kitchen trolleys. If internal use is unavoidable due to poor planning of the building, it should be used at times when the elevator is not used by guests, i.e. before breakfast or after.Conclusion: We had nice days, but unfortunately it didn't feel good. There remains a grumbling and unfortunately also the memory of a crowded holiday island of Usedom, which we don't want to experience in high season.

We spent two nights in the beautiful hotel in the best location. The highlight is certainly the restaurant on the 6th floor with a breathtaking view, where breakfast is also served.However, at the reception, the flagship of every hotel, we met a young man who seemed to be completely wrong in his job. I have never been greeted in a hotel with such arrogance and disinterest in the guest. He preferred to gossip with his colleague, whom he was currently training. The icing on the cake was that when I asked a question later, he was having a massage and answered me with his collar turned up and the masseuse's hands on his shoulders.The other employees were friendly, that's why it's still 3 stars.Overall, there were too many defects to speak of a good price-performance ratio.

Absolutely top location on the promenade and on the beach.Our room with a sea view and balcony was a nice size and tastefully decorated.There is absolutely nothing wrong with breakfast and dinner. Everything is there and tastes very good too.Thanks to the lift and ramps to the promenade, everything was easily accessible with a wheelchair.Only in the swimming pool it could be a little warmer. Water was clean and pleasantly warm but the temperature in the room was a bit cool. However, I mentioned this as a point of departure when I left and it didn't dampen our relaxation in any way.

A top hotel directly on the beach promenade in Ahlbeck. Very friendly staff in all areas, whether reception or restaurant. Rooms are modern and nice and clean, have a great sea view with a balcony. The absolute highlight is of course breakfast and dinner in the panoramic restaurant on the roof. Absolute recommendation!

We had a pleasant week-long stay at the beach hotel. The always polite and attentive staff, especially the breakfast service, contributed to this.Parking was a bit inconvenient, but cheaper than in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.Gladly again.

4 stars? rather not. First of all, the hotel is on the promenade - yes, the location is very good. It appears to be a converted prefabricated building from GDR times. Not necessarily negative, because the view from the restaurant on the fifth floor is nice. The rooms are rather small and have the charm of an Ikea interior. So far clean and the beds recommended. The SPA area, as far as one can speak of it, is an indoor pool with 9 loungers, accessible through a corridor (charm of a staff area) in the basement. The “saunas” consist of ONE sauna for around six people (calculated narrowly) and a relaxation area with four loungers. Ergo, the whole thing is more or less staged in order to be able to show it off.The gentleman's reception at reception was rather annoyed and narrow-minded. The parking situation was generously referred to with an arrangement nearby with a telephone number and contact person. Payment in cash and almost forced to call straight away because there are probably no parking spaces. Not exactly very professional in what is supposed to be a four star hotel?The breakfast was mediocre, a lot of prefabricated industrial goods. The selection is limited to the essentials. Doesn't do justice to the specified category.Conclusion - not recommended

Hello! A wonderfully relaxing holiday week unfortunately came to an end today! We really enjoyed it at the Strandhotel Ahlbeck! Thank you very much for the friendly and courteous welcome and hospitality! To all the employees in front of and behind the scenes, thank you very much for everything! The breakfast was a dream, the dinner was a wonderful end to every day of vacation! We often used the pool too! It was very inviting and clean everywhere! We won't forget our vacation in Ahlbeck! I was in the hotel with my mom for a few days last week, my mom is in a wheelchair and can't walk at all, so I booked a room that was supposed to be handicapped accessible.When we arrived and looked into the room, the first thing we saw was a huge box spring bed. How is a disabled person supposed to get in and out of there. There wasn't a holder either. So I went to reception, the technician is no longer there, he would be there tomorrow unscrew the feet from the bed. Unfortunately, that didn't help me either, because my mom had to sleep too.So I took the mattress out of the bed and got 2 toppers so that it had a base. Luckily there was a heavy chair in the room that I was able to put next to the bed so that she could hold on somehow. So I remodeled the whole room.The bathroom was very good, only the trash can was much too small, there was a template and the bucket was full, so I still got extra trash bags.The room door was very difficult to open and it wasn't easy to hold the door open with one hand and pull the wheelchair into the room with the other hand. It would have been nice if there was a stopper.Now the good sides, breakfast very good, staff nice and of course the location and the view are great.I noticed once again that there is unfortunately still a lot to do for people with disabilities. Even the place with wheelchairs doesn't have a train ride, it would be easy to have a ramp. We also couldn't go on the Adler ships, unfortunately a wheelchair user can't get on the ship, it's sad that something like that still exists today. So we had no other choice and then we set off by car, which of course is also very tiring for my mom. Getting in and out of the car. But I still made her happy and she went to the Baltic Sea again.

Hotel is ok so far. Nice and friendly Polish employees. Breakfast is average, but the view on the 6th floor is great. You shouldn't raise your expectations too high, since everyone on Usedom is a bit spoiled by the crowds of holidaymakers and tourists...Unfortunately, you can't get the hotel parking space or reserve it. Our friend arrived beforehand and was directed to a private parking lot by the employee. After searching around for ages, our car found a free space at Ahlbeck train station!But what actually drives me to this rating: We paid a fair amount of extra for a sea view (320 euros per night), but all we could see were trees, parts of the mini golf course, toilet containers and the snack bar.I asked at the reception about a sea view and was told that the sea view would be from the third floor... We had the 3rd floor! We don't go there anymore and the picture actually says it all.Update September 18, 2024: They offer "SEA VIEW" for an additional charge (on request: from the 3rd floor!) and write: "However, the view can be limited by natural conditions such as trees at certain times of the year..."Yes, if I can't guarantee a sea view, I can't calculate the "sea view" either! What's wrong with you? If trees block the view of the sea, I don't have a sea view - it's quite simple and the photo is clear!

Nice hotel in a great location, right on the beach. Unfortunately, the parking situation is not good, the hotel's own parking spaces are far from enough. You have to use public parking spaces.

The beach hotel is close to the political border.The car can be parked in the hotel's own parking lot for a fee.Check-in was relatively quick and we were able to move into our room 507 with a sea view.The room offers a safe, kettle, tea and coffee, a minibar, a bathroom with a table and chairs, a bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer and bathrobes. Unfortunately, there is no storage space for the toiletry bag in the bathroom, which quickly becomes annoying. A large full-length mirror is also missing.The bed is very comfortable and the room size is sufficient.In general the room is very nicely designed.The service is very friendly and helpful.The breakfast buffet offers variety and is delicious.A nice hotel where price and performance as well as service and friendliness match.

Now, after two days, a look back at five days of vacation at the Strandhotel Ahlbeck. I read through some of the comments beforehand and was slightly skeptical. Did I make the right decision to book?First to the hotel. A new building with great attention to detail. Functional and well organized. This also applies to the rooms.To the service. The service was extremely friendly and competent in all matters. This affects the reception, the catering and room service.The breakfast. Comprehensive, sufficient and of good quality. This is where most of the critical comments were made in advance. I can't confirm that. If you had such a varied buffet at home, chapeau!The pool was great, clean and big enough.The location. Right on the dunes and the promenade. It doesn't get any better.Parking spaces. That's a few drawbacks. Unfortunately there are no sufficient spaces at the hotel. On the second day we were offered private parking spaces on a meadow at Talstrasse 11 for €9 per day from a Mr. Schmitt. That was a disaster, unfriendly, arrogant, “what you vacationers imagine” when we arrived at the meadow at 5:05 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. due to a breakdown. We then parked at the train station for the day and threw away the €54 we had already paid.Summary: A hotel that I can happily recommend. The Polish service staff did their best to offer us a nice short vacation. Are we coming back? Usedom is always worth a trip.
