They're not lying about the view: we could have spent hours watching the changes of light on the surrounding hills.But that's just a plus. The main thing is that the family who runs this hostel is adorable, they have excellent advice for walks around the area, and the rooms are comfortable (with good beds!).Just a little advice (which applies to many places): there are many roosters around, bring earplugs :)

My favorite accommodation in all of Bali ! The spacious room had an amazing Mountain View patio.Their rooftop/bar-restaurant is awesome , wonderful place to talk to the owners and staff while enjoying the Mountain View.Hiking trails are a few minutes away to head for the towns multiple waterfalls.Wish I had stayed longer, another time 😄Thanks for everything

Beautiful hotel with the most stunning view of the valley and rice terraces. We stayed in the rural studio with a beautiful view. Kitchen was not setup yet for us but they did get fridge connected after a day. Wifi was adequate especially at restaurant. Convenient store with everything is just across the street. Rooftop restaurant has a gorgeous view and delicious food. The hotel room has a deck that you can enjoy the view too. The owner, Ketut, and his sister, Nyoman, were the most hospitable hosts. Ketut invited us to a big community cremation ceremony and checked on us while we were there.

We (family of four) spent three nights at this home stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly, making us feel at home right away. The room good, with a balcony from where we had a great view on the mountains. For two adults and two children, a single room was a bit small, but that was no problem as we spent most of the time on trips or enjoying food and drinks on the roof-top terrace. We will never forget celebrating New Years with Ketut :)

Such a great guesthouse! The owners are really friendly and helped us with renting (brand new) bikes and advising us about the waterfall hikes around Munduk. The rooms are so good, I had the deluxe double and it's a big room, super clean and with a nice terrace. I highly recommend staying here!

After a day of exploring the waterfalls we were ravenous & Umah DeMadya was the perfect lunch spot. The panoramic view is spectacular & the service was warm & inviting. We had multiple fresh juices, ice cold beer & Nasi goreng, Gado-Gado, spring rolls & a traditional style of Balinese chicken curry. Everything was delicious & lovingly prepared and you couldn't ask for better service or a better view. Absolutely recommend if you're in Munduk.

Our stay at Umah de Madya was just fantastic! The view from the balcony of our room was incredible, as was the setting of the rooftop restaurant overlooking the Munduk hills and rice terraces. The food served in the restaurant was outstanding and the location of the guesthouse is perfect to explore the nearby waterfalls by foot.And most of all - the family is incredibly welcoming and heart-warming. Unfortunately I was sick for a few days during my stay but was cared for and looked after with so much care, which was very special ☺️ Thank you ❤️

The view from the room is simply magnificent! In addition, the 2 people who manage the establishment are adorable and very accommodating. Meals are excellent with the terrace overlooking the mountains. In addition, the start of the 3 waterfalls hike is 2 steps away.

Magical view from the room balcony and rooftop. The hosts are so kind, and the room is well-equipped, and the room is cleaned everyday. Also the balinese pancakes for breakfast are to die for! Otherworldly level of delicious. Thank you for making our stay in Munduk so special.

Very good quality local gite/bed and breakfast. The staff is super welcoming, the food is REALLY good on a nice rooftop and the rooms are in very good condition with a small furnished balcony and a beautiful view of the valley. Little extra: the crowing of the rooster when you wake up in the morning. Lovers of greenery this is for you!Many hikes are available near the hotel.Note: if you wish to visit the nearby waterfalls or lakes, check your itinerary carefully before leaving because once on the way you will find very few indications (the signs are really not the strong points of the area!) and the 800m as the crow flies (via small paths crossing the valley and which do not appear on Google maps) which separate the hotel from the first waterfalls can quickly turn into 6 kilometers of walking with a nice difference in altitude (it's an experience) 😊 And here no car taxis, some scooter taxi possibilities but find out well beforehand to plan your journeys.

Well deserved 5 stars. The room was clean and fragrant. The bed was large and comfortable. The view from the balcony was breathtaking.During my stay I got sick, the host and his sister were very caring and helpful. The host's sister prepared a great breakfast. Our room and bathroom were cleaned during our stay.Opposite there is a shop with a refueling station.Highly recommended. We would love to come back.
