The restaurant and bar of this hotel are an absolute disaster. The service is not only unfriendly, but downright rude at times. The food is served cold, as if the staff doesn't care if you even have a good time here. To make matters worse, invoices were sometimes billed twice - an outrage that is simply unacceptable. The highlight, however, was the wedding dinner, where we ran out of side dishes and we were actually told to please be satisfied with the remaining dumplings. If you want to eat or celebrate here, you should really think twice.

A really nice hotel, very close to the sea.You can spend a lovely relaxing holiday here or treat yourself to a delicious tarte flambée or pizza after a walk by the lake.The delicacies from the in-house patisserie are also highly recommended.Simply incredibly delicious.

One of the best hotels I have visited.The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating.The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.I would especially like to thank Lisa from the SPA for the excellent facial treatment.We'll be back next year 😀

A friend and I went in to ask about the rates for the spa and if it was possible to enter even if we were not staying at the hotel and they told us of course and without problems.We then went out to the car to get our belongings and when we came back in another employee assisted us. This employee did not let us in, claiming that non-residents could not use the spa.We told him several times that his partner had told us the opposite five minutes before and in the end he agreed.We interpret this as a lack of respect for being foreigners.The situation seems unacceptable to us.

The hotel is perfectly located. Beautiful fine sandy and clean beach that is not overcrowded, right across the street. So practical if you want to go back to the hotel in between. Beach chairs can be rented at the hotel.Very pleasant, relaxing atmosphere in the hotel. Nice seating inside. Unfortunately, they are completely missing outside unless you want to go to one of the restaurants (@The Grand: One or two benches in front and behind the house can certainly be set up without any problems.)The rooms with sea views are amazing. Pleasant size and furnishings. Not overloaded. Practical fly screens, large balconies. Bathroom could be a little more practical for a hotel of this quality.The friendliness of the employees depends very much on the individual people. Some stand out very positively, others more negatively. (The same applies to the guests ;-): Greetings or a friendly smile were "Bohemian villages" for most - whether "Ossi" or "Wessi".)Long waiting times for breakfast, but a wonderful selection with largely good quality (e.g. fish, sliced fruit).Spacious wellness, pool and sauna area where you won't step on your toes. Gym with good equipment. Courses even take place with very few participants (@The Grand: Please keep it that way, and maybe add some music too.)Fantastic view from the "Weitblick" - not just of the sunset. Here too, a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.Cards offer something for every taste, and cheaper dishes are also included.All dishes are beautifully and imaginatively prepared, but of varying quality, which is unfortunate given the high-priced dishes.All in all, a highly recommended hotel. Perfect for a break to really relax for a few days.The hotel can certainly improve on some points to justify the price.

Once is enough!!!Room 402, W. Bu... Arrival August 4thIt started when we checked in...The room card was handed to us more or less without comment.Nothing where there is breakfast, where the SPA is etc...The room was great, well we also booked one of the most expensive suites in the hotel. The night for €500.00.But there were a few deficiencies in the room that were not resolved despite complaints:The sliding wardrobe doors were very difficult to move.On the sideboard (where the TV is on) a door could only be opened with force. But it must have been like this for a very long time because the wood is already completely "worn out".Then there were mattress protectors on the bed, but they were so worn out that they made dents, which disturbed me while I was sleeping. The protectors were also not pulled straight when making the bed. I removed the protector after 2 nights.I'm amazed that my shortcomings, well shortcomings, are perhaps a bit exaggerated, but at €500 a night I would have expected a little more perfection, not being noticed by a "housekeeper" if it wasn't passed on to the cleaning staff.There are very few storage options in the bathroom, you can't even wash your hands properly at the sink, the sink looks nice, but completely impractical.Terrace furniture was not cleaned.The chairs at the “dining table” are very difficult to move. I thought there were no gliders underneath, but there were, but still. Some of them had their nails already sticking out.Then it wasn't actually possible to really relax because I wanted to sit on the beautiful terrace, but all we heard all evening was music and loud talking/laughter etc. from the guests in the restaurant directly above us.One night it went until 12:10 a.m.!!! Which of course I also heard in my bed, since the bedroom is directly above the restaurant.The patio furniture was largely not cleaned.The breakfast buffet was great!! and the service was also very nice.

The waiter with the fake eyebrows in the restaurant is incredibly snooty and unfriendly, I would have fired him straight away in my hotel, you can't let someone like that loose on the guests. The restaurant has a great view, we will still avoid it in the future as the overall experience is greatly affected by the person mentioned above! Too bad! ☹️

Nice hotel in a great location.Rooms nice, clean but not practical. There is no suitcase rack, coat hooks for jackets and the shower is unfortunately not tight. The grand advertises its dog-friendliness on its homepage. Only on site, after 10,000km of driving, am I informed about what my dogs are not allowed to do. I find it difficult. Then my dogs lose too much hair - the hotel charges additional costs for cleaning. Very petty.The service is mostly friendly, but cannot maintain the 5-star level. Having to wait 20 minutes at breakfast to be able to order something is not possible in this price range.It lacks the finishing touches that I expect and pay for with 5 stars.We were at the BBQ which is advertised as an event. The hotel can't do anything about the bad weather; alternatively, food was offered indoors. But the whole thing seemed very careless. There was a cook who had to take care of cold and hot food. The entercots were therefore grilled and laid out in bowls for the guest. Grill level unknown. It's a shame that's not how you treat meat. At a BBQ event I expect fresh grilling. I'm happy to wait for it. That my meat is hot and has the cooking point that I like. So it was just a buffet. The breakfast is great. Large selection, fresh and very fine. It's a shame there isn't a map on which I can read what I can change with the staff. egg dishes etc.The food in general didn't convince me.The SPA area is beautifully designed and manageable. It's a shame that the daily changing infusions in the sauna are not advertised at reception. The hotel has its own small daily newspaper. Great idea - but why isn't it on the table for everyone at breakfast? Why do I have to look for this thing?Many ideas were started correctly but not thought through to the end. You are failing to make me feel valuable as a guest. I have seen the inside of many 5-star hotels. You can't keep up with your current concert. But the potential is there. Very unfortunate. That's right, the price-performance ratio isn't right. €400 per night for a double room. I expect a different demeanor and more present service.

The location and the view are the absolute best. Very close to the beautiful beach of Ahrenshoop. Be sure to reserve a room or suite with a direct sea view. The breakfast is also great. The staff could be a little friendlier to normal mortals. But we felt very comfortable here.

The Grand leaves little to be desired. The rooms are modern and brightly furnished and offer a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea.Really good food is served in the various restaurants, especially Weitblick scores here with creative, modern dishes and corresponding drinks. Vegetarians and people who don't drink alcohol will also find what they're looking for here.The breakfast offering is really excellent. Various cheeses, sausages, vegetarian offerings, fruit, vegetables, egg dishes (prepared upon request), juices, desserts, spreads, etc. etc. a really diverse selection to get the day off to a good start.The SPA area offers quiet places even in high season. During our stay we had the sauna and often the pool to ourselves every day.The massage treatments are carried out professionally in a pleasant atmosphere by the friendly staff.Reservations for the restaurants and bookings for rental bicycles, for example, are carried out in a friendly and reliable manner by the reception staff.A clear recommendation from us. We will definitely book here again.

Thank you for the lovely short vacation!I can highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The wellness area is first-class and offers everything you need to relax. I was particularly impressed by the restaurant, which was impressive both in terms of cuisine and ambience. It was a completely successful break and I would love to come back!

That wasn't great for over €400 per night (small double room classic). The air conditioning units were broken on the entire floor. There was no indication of this upon arrival. The sight of the hardware store air conditioner was the start of a failed weekend. The following day we got another room at 2 p.m. No one compensated us for the time we lost during the move, and there was no trace of regret or discount on the bill. We expected more. The contents of the minibar, which was refilled once a day free of charge with 6 warm drinks, were also very “generous”. The one 0.25l Warsteiner bottle was always cooled down to drinking temperature the following day for breakfast. We definitely won't be coming back...

We had our dream wedding at “The Grand” three weeks ago. It just doesn't get any better!!! Quite comfortably in a small circle on your own terrace with a view of the Baltic Sea. Perfect!!! ❤️❤️And the hotel team made it possible and left nothing missing. Every wish we had was fulfilled. We would like to thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts for giving us a wonderful, unforgettable time. We'll definitely be back!!!Our suite was very spacious with an extra living area and dining area. A large terrace with a beach chair and loungers as well as a table and chairs, with a magnificent view of the Baltic Sea. Simply super beautiful.Not to forget - the breakfast!!!!! Deeer awesome!!!!!👍☺️However, we did have one small point of criticism - the beds were too soft for us. But everyone feels differently, which is why complaining is at a high level. Oh - and maybe a few more hooks in the bathroom to hang things on. But that too - rather small things.Our conclusion - a great hotel in a best location with very nice staff.Keep it up!!!👍👍☺️☺️

Experience fantastic sunsets from your own balcony. The rooms are very bright and spacious. The rooms in the northwest corner don't get as warm because the sun only comes in the afternoon.Breakfast was adequate.What we liked best was the proximity to the beach.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is perfect, just across the street from the beach. Our room was on the side of the hotel with a sea view from the balcony. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and appeared to be newly renovated.The breakfast buffet had a large selection and everything was fresh and beautifully presented. It was a great start to the day, enjoying breakfast overlooking the sea.Pool and wellness area were very nice. It was just a shame that small children were using the pool early in the morning, so it wasn't possible to enjoy a relaxing swim before breakfast.The food on the first evening in the Weitblick restaurant was excellent. The food at Seaside is okay, if a bit expensive, but the service was very friendly and competent.
