We chose the hotel for a little break and felt very comfortable. Particularly noteworthy is the extremely friendly and courteous staff. The historic building offers a great ambience, so you can see past a few cobwebs. The room was large and comfortable but also quite dark. The bathroom was equipped with a shower and bathtub. There was a bottle of lemon water from the house every day. We had our dog with us, so we were accommodated on the lower floor, which had small windows but unfortunately no balcony as shown in the pictures. There was a dog bed, treats and a bowl available in the room. The small wellness area with 2 saunas, an oriental steam bath and a pool with a great atmosphere was very comfortable and warm.We booked a massage, which wasn't cheap but was good. Someone came to the wellness area by appointment.Unfortunately the water dispenser was empty and was not refilled. The Westenstuben restaurant was great. The menu and the dishes are really tasty and special. Even as a hotel guest you should reserve a day in advance as a table is in high demand. The employees in all areas are very friendly and open to questions and a little chat. The prices are reasonable for what you get.The breakfast was very good and extensive. The location of the inn is great and you can start walking straight away. Ideal for beginner hikers. There is a folder in the hotel with good information about the tours. The routes are signposted. We hiked up to the Frasdorfer Hütte via the Lederstuben hiking car park. Please note that the hut cannot be reached by car. You feel like you're in another world in nature.

We were invited to a big birthday, which we then extended for another 3 days. We booked very early and ended up getting the smallest standard room, while the late bookers all got better rooms. After the birthday in January, the hotel was almost empty, but they only gave us a larger room under pressure. That's not how you treat guests. Never again Karner!!!

Westerndorfer restaurant. We had dinner with four people in the dining room.Reception ?The reception was hosted by a young woman who was at the end of the long hallway. Normally I know that you approach the guest. No, she waited until we were in front of her. She showed us the table and disappeared. We then kept our very wet jackets at the table. When pouring, a good amount of water went next to the glass. Well, the waitress used a cloth and said it didn't suck well and disappeared. She didn't come back to clean it up. Thank God we had tissues with us.The appetizers arrived, the wine wasn't at the table yet and the bottle wasn't opened.Four people, the only table at this time. The main course Ripeye for €40 was a huge disappointment. Maybe 1cm thick, cold but well prepared. The sauce very good. The Parisian butter didn't melt because the meat was cold. Now the best part, green beans wrapped in bacon, almost raw. They were really only blanched for a short time, far too short. The bite was too hard.A NOTICE:Phasin is a lectin mixture found in the green kidney bean. The lectins consist of the amino acids glutamic acid, aspartic acid, serine, alanine, tyrosine, lysine and arginine.Phasin is toxic to humans because it causes red blood cells to stick together. Above a certain dose, consumption leads to vomiting, diarrhea and stomach and intestinal problems. In the worst case, consumption can be fatal; in some cases, just a handful of raw beans was enough to cause death. In particularly phasin-rich species such as B. red kidney beans, just 4 or 5 raw seeds are enough to cause symptoms in adults. The risotto was prepared with rice. There are good risotto cooking courses in Tuscany or Liguria. Knowing how to make risotto is an art, if you can't do it you shouldn't.To make it short:Very bad cinema.Never again and not recommended from our side.2 Google stars for the hard service and the sauceNote on your comment:The young woman who welcomed us belonged to your Michelin star restaurant. It's difficult to get good staff, but at least they could be nice. At least at reception.

Dear country inn team!"We had a wonderful stay at the Landgasthof Karner. The rooms and the wellness area are simply excellent - modern, clean and very cozy. The entire ambience exudes peace and charm, so you immediately feel at home. The food was delicious and the breakfast buffet was particularly rich , there was really something for every taste. Unfortunately, the unfriendly staff in the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast spoiled the otherwise perfect stay, which was a shame, as everything else was really good We recommend the hotel because of the many positive aspects."

We were able to accompany our bride and groom's getting ready at the Landgasthof Karner in 2022 and were immediately captivated by the charm of the inn. The rooms offer beautiful and varied options for taking stylish pictures. The staff was super nice and the coffee was also delicious! :)

We stayed at the country inn for two nights. It was very uncomplicated for our late arrival.About the room: spacious, a bit old-fashioned, but that's a matter of taste. Not relevant to us. Beds ok, although there is a loosely attached rod hanging from the headboard (for what?). The large wooden cupboard is just decoration? There's a bar studded with nails hanging around here...Main point of criticism: the bathroom. Old bathtub, nicks in the enamel in a few places. The tiles actually looked new, but there was mold in the joints. There hasn't been or been any cleaning here for a while. Actually, it can't be overlooked. Black spots on the undersides of the very old fittings. A stream constantly runs out of the tap, even when you turn off the water. The shower curtain (yes we had a shower curtain?! I personally think it's unreasonable for the price of the night's stay.) also had mold stains. The paint above the bathroom window is chipping off at the top. In a bathroom you should think about whether you could ventilate it and replace the old wooden window...Pool ok at 28 degrees. Breakfast was good, unfortunately no alternative to cow's milk. The staff was nice, but you shouldn't roll your eyes when breakfast is served until 10 and a cappuccino is ordered at 9:55 a.m. Especially since no staff could be found for 20 minutes...We expected more.

"In contrast to the inn, the inn not only offered food but also offers overnight accommodation for guests and adjustment options for their means of transport." Says Wikipedia. And I'm hungry in this "inn"! As a hotel guest, I didn't get ANYTHING to eat because other, more important people had priority, a company dinner was taking place. Not even a packed lunch was offered. This was not communicated when booking.Towels were constantly missing in the sauna area. There is junk in every corner that is not immediately visible. Well, things like this are difficult to regulate from Switzerland...Hui on the outside, yuck on the inside!!!

It was outrageous that we wanted to eat something in the restaurant on the second evening, but we were turned away in an extremely unfriendly manner. There would no longer be a free table, even though there would still have been room.Due to an event, food could no longer be prepared for us because the entire staff was busy with it. Unfortunately, this was not pointed out in time. This wasn't just the case for us but for several hotel guests.
