Room and breakfast good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wellness area a bit small, but ok. The hotel is a good starting point for numerous hikes and city visits, including Bamberg, Nuremberg, Bayreuth. We liked it.

The room/hotel is actually quite nice, unfortunately the staff is just a bit overwhelmed and therefore not accommodating, but rather reserved and sometimes unfriendly.Restaurant / kitchen is generally very tasty, but here the service often lacks language skills and unfortunately we had fruit rotation in the drinks! No apology topped it...Needs improvement and doesn't deserve 4 stars.

Once and never again!!! This hotel has nothing to do with 4 star standards! The staff is friendly but the house is far too old! Very noisy room, despite the change. If the guest above or below you goes to the toilet you can hear it very loudly.

Rating for the restaurant onlyVery friendly staff, but unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated a lot. Just 1 1/2 years ago I got the perfect Schäufele here. Unfortunately today it was exactly the opposite, flaky crust, dry meat, etc.

We recently stayed there for a few days with half board and use of the wellness area. We didn't get a room with a terrace as described in the offer, the so-called wellness oasis was a complete disaster 🫣The breakfast and dinner were good and the staff friendly and helpful 😊But wouldn't book there again...

We were only there to eat as part of a day trip. The service was top. The location is good and the food was delicious outside of the usual meal times.

First of all, the rating is only for the restaurant.We were there on a Sunday. The outside area was about half full with guests, there was no one inside.We had to draw the staff's attention several times to even get menus and be able to order.The drinks arrived in an acceptable time, but the food took a whopping 55 minutes to arrive. The taste is rather below average. The tarte flambée taste extremely like dill and the Schäufele has no crispy crust, is marinated with strange spices and the meat was not tender at all.So it happened that we had already drunk all of our drinks and were not asked if we would like to drink anything else. We also pointed this out to the waiter ourselves.What really bothered us was that despite the moderate number of visitors, tables were not cleared, other guests were sometimes completely ignored (even though they drew attention to themselves several times) and the staff wasn't really attentive.There will be no further visits here for us.The service and food should be worked on, the location definitely has potential and the outdoor area was also nicely done.

Had to stay here overnight due to an unexpected situation. For an AKZENT hotel, the standard double rooms are quite small. The Franconian cuisine on offer and the good breakfast should be praised.

Today, after a strenuous tour, we were finally looking for “the” Franconian Schäufele. We were served quickly and in a very friendly manner. The Schäufele were super smooth, the dumplings were perfect...but unfortunately the crust wasn't crusty and both it and the sauce were borderline too salty. If that were fixed: 5 stars, even if the price is comparatively high, worth a sin. :-)

We went hiking today and wanted something to eat, so we sat down here on the terrace.The friendly waiter came immediately and brought the clearly laid out cards. Since the beef had a precise indication of its origin, which I liked, I ordered the beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage. And I was thrilled because the dumpling was NOT swimming in 2 liters of cheap gravy like usual elsewhere! The red cabbage came in a separate bowl, the dumplings were homemade, everything was delicious, a large portion and quite reasonably priced!Since there were a lot of wasps around, we were offered a place inside, even though we had two large hubs with us, which I thought was extremely nice!

My review relates to the restaurant: we had to call the waiter because he hadn't shown up for a while. I think the good man was solely responsible for the kitchen, reception and service. But there was generally little to show for it.Our starter was completely forgotten, pork schnitzel with gristle, dripping fat and unsalted fries. My beef roulade was cold, the dumplings were okay, red cabbage with too much cinnamon.As a replacement for the forgotten starter, we got a free filter coffee...unfortunately the cream was sour.Pretty much everything went wrong.Nevertheless, the gentleman was always friendly and had a smile on his face.But the quality of the food was really not good in my opinion.Can't recommend this any further.
