The only caveat is about the pillows and towels, which were rough, but this is a problem in most of the world's hotels.

It is my first visited hotel in Munich and in Germany in general. I was surprised that some pieces of furniture looked like they were at least 100 years old, but they still looked great. The entrance to the hotel is not barrier-free, the reception is small but cozy. The room was large enough, clean and the bright bathroom connected to the toilet also had a bathtub. The mattresses were not very soft, the drawer was on each side of the bed. Wifi in the room was sufficient. I have nothing to complain about this accommodation at all (supposedly there are walls through which you can hear the neighbors - especially when they come back from Oktoberfest, but I immediately fell asleep and didn't hear anything). The breakfast was rich and there was an opportunity to choose from many types of food. Although the dining areas are not very large, we comfortably changed here. The service at the hotel was very nice and pleasant, you could talk to her. .

Personally, without any air conditioning, the stay is awful if the temperature rises above 20C (68F) during the day, you will not be comfortable to sleep and if you take a shower the room will be very humid. Also, because you need to keep a window open to the street to get air there is constant noise all night, garbage trucks, 4-5 police vehicles with blaring sirens, delivery vehicles at 3 AM, etc. It is not a pleasant place to stay for heat, noise and bugs because there are not screens. Also, there is usually a stench of cigarette smoke from the back courtyard or from the bar all night as it is just below the windows. Breakfast is also limited with bread, cereal, meats. There are eggs that usually look old and nothing cooked to order. Disappointingly, they have no fruit either. As far as the people, they were nice enough. This could be a great hotel with some improvements, I would stay away.

Nice small hotel with extremely friendly service. Delicious extensive breakfast buffet. No air conditioning and although it was 28 degrees, the fan was sufficient for us. We also don't have air conditioning at home.

Well located, breakfast okay for the money. Service friendly on certain days. At the breakfast table you are kicked away at 10 a.m. sharp because they have to clean the tables. Room disaster, paid around 350 euros for Fri and Sat for around 10m2, attic, only one window, no draft, no air conditioning, extremely loud fan. We have never paid so much to sleep so badly before. Never again.

So... first of all, I was shocked at first when I realized that there was no climate at 30 degrees outside, but thanks to the tall trees and the insulation of the house, good temperature management in the room was possible without any problems. We were able to experience an absolutely delightful, friendly and helpful employee. The breakfast was more than adequate. Price performance absolutely ok

A very nice small and clean hotel. What should be emphasized is the friendliness there and, above all, the rich breakfast buffet. Special requirements such as lactose intolerance were taken into account and, in addition to the option of switching to oat milk, we were also given soy-based yogurt so that the day could start carefree. The walking distance to the city center and the cleanliness of the entire building mean that the small problem of a very narrow elevator can be overlooked. We were so impressed by this hotel that we can fully recommend it and will come back. Thank you.

Location great, room size and cleanliness too. Unfortunately, when we arrived, despite the smoking ban, there was a strong smell of cigarettes. The room was also a bit noisy (not all hotel guests are considerate of others)... Staff at reception very polite.

Easy walking distance to just about everything, including public transportation. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are nice, and good size. No A/C, but the rooms have fans and windows that open so that wasn't a big deal.

We had such a wonderful experience! The staff truly went out of their way to help us after the airport lost all of our luggage. It's a short walk to transit and Marienplatz - highly recommend for all!

We had a great stay at Hotel Altmünchen for a long weekend. Our room was larger than it looked in the photos, the prices were good, and we were able to park at the hotel for 20€ per day (although parking there is very limited, so we got lucky). The staff were very accommodating and the location was perfect for us. The beds were large and the mattresses a little firm, but that's how we like it.We're always happy to find a hotel that can accommodate dogs, and we were allowed to have both of ours there for a nominal extra charge. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that dogs weren't allowed in the dining area during breakfast time, so we didn't get breakfast at the hotel, but this wasn't a huge deal for us and we understand why those rules need to be in place. Overall, we're very happy with our stay!
