We had chosen the 4-star hotel because of its location and were initially looking for a parking space when we arrived, and quickly found it in the Dachauplatz car park (5 minutes' walk/€14 daily fee).We were greeted warmly and were surprised to find that there was a beer garden at the back. Luckily there was no activity here due to the weather. Our room on the 1st floor seemed modernly furnished at first glance, but at second glance there were clear signs of wear and negligence in the room cleaning. We were still happy to have found a hotel in the old town so that everything was within walking distance. We didn't even have to leave the house for dinner and stopped at the Weltenburger am Dom, which we can recommend. The breakfast in the hotel wasn't extensive, but still offered all sorts of variety, fresh fruit and vegetables and was visually appealing. What we unfortunately didn't like was the lack of room cleaning, which when asked was explained to us as a lack of staff, which is understandable, but unusual for a hotel chain with a 4-star rating. The very nice employee offered us compensation without asking, which again put us in a lenient mood.Despite everything, the hotel is recommended for a short trip.

Air conditioning apparently still doesn't work! It also switches off if you pull the card when leaving the room.Towels, coffee refills, toilet paper, etc. are only available upon request, cleaning is supposedly only carried out on request due to climate protection and the privacy of the guests. But we were only told on the third day that the guest can regulate his or her own privacy using the sign “Please be quiet, do not disturb” on the door handle.Since we had to leave the day before due to an emergency, it would have been ok to have the breakfast price refunded. If you leave after 3:00 p.m., I understand that the room will not be paid for, but breakfast the next day!The staff at the reception seem rather uninterested. It's a shame that the reviews aren't used as an impetus for improvements. For one price 6 nights with breakfast. We would have expected more at €979.20.Finally, a photo of the disgusting toilet seat which is an example of a wrong cleaning policy!

Very centrally located at the cathedral.NO recommendation for breakfast - everything is just mini mini very little choice - catastrophe - hotel photos of the breakfast are outdated and no longer correspond to realityRoom furnishings careless.Carpeted floorBeds comfortableBathroom with shower - very largeSince the exit from the shower is high, a grab bar would be helpful.Bells ring very loudly - but we were able to think about it because of the proximity to the cathedral. The room description said mini bar - but it was NOT available. There is no ashtray for rough people - so everything in front of the hotel entrance is full of cigarette butts!!No parking at/in front of the hotel - unloading/loading luggage is not possible due to the hotel barrier.Email inquiries sent to the hotel 3 times - were NOT answered!

I was in town with two colleagues for a training course; the hotel was reserved by our employer. When we arrived, the lady at the registration desk was so uninterested, bored and unfriendly that we couldn't think of anything else to say. All the information had to be extracted from her, including where to find our rooms - really bottomless as a flagship for a hotel. The rooms themselves were okay, what really bothered me was the thick layer of dust on the towel radiator, really disgusting. I don't know when it was last cleaned, but it was a while ago. There were pretty pronounced red limescale spots around the edges of the shower, which could also have been removed more nicely (cleaning would be an option). There was no room cleaning, rubbish bins were not emptied during the stay and towels were not changed either (we were told the latter on arrival). The breakfast was small but okay. All in all, not outstanding. On the day of departure we met the only nice person in the hotel and were able to check out without any problems - at least. All in all, okay for a stay that I didn't have to pay for myself - if I had paid for it myself, I would have been incredibly annoyed.

The ACHAT Hotel in Regensburg is located directly on the cathedral square and is therefore in a prime location. All the beautiful places in Augsburg can be reached from there without any problems.During our stay the air conditioning did not work. Something like that can happen. What I would like to criticize, however, is the hotel's communication. We were not informed of the problem when we arrived. When we arrived we were wondering about the temperature and adjusted the air conditioning properly. When we returned, about 4 hours later, the temperature was unchanged. It was only after I called reception that I was informed about the situation by a lady who was relatively uncompassionate. The problem for me is that at checkout it turns out that the staff was instructed by the hotel management not to inform the guests about the problem. According to the reviews, the problem existed 2 weeks before and after our visit. There is no talk of a quick solution to the problem, which could perhaps justify the poor communication. No compensation, no note, no notice. Something like that doesn't work at all. I would like to expressly apologize to the staff and hold the hotel management responsible. This is not how you should treat your guests. There is no trunk. The suitcases are accepted, but then left unattended and without a receipt in the restaurant. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Price performance is good. The physical aspect of the hotel as well as the staff satisfied me.However, I have never experienced such poor management. I can recommend everyone to stay away from a hotel where the management doesn't understand how to deal with guests.Thank you again to the transparent and friendly staff of the hotel.

Modern centrally located hotel. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with house dust allergies as there is carpet everywhere. All the staff are very friendly. The rooms are very clean and modernly furnished, unfortunately only partially barrier-free. Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken, which made the night a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet is beautifully prepared with something for everyone. It would be nice if vegan or lactose-free versions were also offered.

So apparently the air conditioning is STILL broken. Guests are STILL NOT warned about this crucial flaw. Neither when booking on the website or the relevant booking portals, nor when arriving and checking in. We were there in mid-August and can only describe the behavior of the staff (according to multiple statements by the hotel management!) as absolutely inadequate and dubious. This hotel chain doesn't even put fans in the rooms to at least provide some relief.Free breakfast and 20% discount are a joke if you as a guest cannot use the room from 8 a.m. to midnight.Under no circumstances book!!!

We were there from August 15th. until August 18th here. Unfortunately the air conditioning failed and the rooms were heated up accordingly. Unbearable during the day and only with the windows open at night. But that's late, as the outdoor area of the restaurant on the ground floor is directly below.Despite the circumstances, the staff were friendly and tried hard, but were clearly overwhelmed. The location is ideal for exploring the city, but has the disadvantage that there are no private parking spaces available - so public parking. Either conveniently in the nearby parking garage, or with a little flexibility also inexpensively in parking spaces in the area...The furnishings give the impression that they were absolutely top notch at the end of the 1990s, but have not been updated since then and are visibly worn out.Breakfast was sufficient for us, but definitely not worth the description "rich buffet".Conclusion: with a little tolerance and a 20% discount (due to the unusual climate) on the cheap price of an online portal, it was okay - but at the full price I would have been very disappointed...
