Great price for Salzburg. The Hotel is very well located, a short walk from the main station. The room I stayed in had two beds, a shower and a faucet. Very clean. Downside is that the toilet isn't in the room and has to be shared, but that is no big deal.

Fair place to stay for 1-2 nights.Pros:1. Located in city centre so all interesting places are within the walking distance2. Nice visual concept and style3. Noise isolation is pretty goodCons:1. No air conditioning and single window is facing railway. Could be a problem for light sleepers because of excessive noise2. I personally didn’t get the idea of placing shower and toilet in one tiny room.3. There are no electrical outlets, the cord is simply stretched through the room and attached to the ceiling. Two sockets are simply “hanging” down which is quite not safe.

U really gotta make sure ur equipment work perfectly since u allow ur guests to self check in. And that phone number leave only useless recording messages.The WiFi is extremely unstable and slow

There is no reception, it is all self-management. You can store your suitcases. It is a 10-minute walk from the train station and 15 minutes from the Mirabel Palace + 5 minutes more and you are in the historic center. Great for walking, especially if you are only there for a day (enough to explore the fort, the cathedral and other places in the center). There is also a bar, which is in the same place where they serve breakfast.Negative: breakfast starts at 8 AM, a little late, it should be at 7.

The cp value is not high, especially not suitable for families. The shared toilets and bathrooms are a bit crude, the sound insulation is poor, and there are trains passing by which are very noisy, making it difficult to sleep.There is a note above that breakfast costs €16.50/person! !We didn't have a knife when we wanted to cut bread and toast, so the two of us just ate a few small pastries and yogurt and left.Not a good experience, but a better option at this price

One star for the very good location, you can easily discover the old town and its sights on footOne star for the nice and delicious restaurant in the houseI have to deduct the other three stars for the small, stuffy and very warm rooms, which can hardly withstand the noise from the street and the railway line as well as the other people staying overnight, quiet nights were out of the question and the poorly maintained bathrooms smell very musty and are a bit small for the number of rooms/people.

Hostel in a good location close to the main station and the river. Everything important can be reached along the river. The rooms are quite small, but clean and perfectly fine for short stays. However, it is very warm and noisy or loud from the street. The number of showers and toilets is too few in relation to the rooms per floor. Furthermore, these are not in high quality condition, but are relatively clean.

Stayed at The Keep Eco Rooms for two nights and had a great time. Would definitely consider it more a hostel than a hotel but with that in mind the price, central location and amenities were great!Even though it is placed next to the train tracks, we had no problem sleeping and didn’t find it noise at all. The room was clean and a good size, we had showers and toilets on our floor as well that were clean and with easy access.Very nice vegan café/restaurant downstairs and the staff there were helpful.The only downside was that there wasn’t a reception and as our door code did not work, we had to communicate online with the owners, which seems time consuming and inconvenient if the owners do not respond in time. Luckily we arrived in the afternoon so the staff at the restaurant could help us reach the owners faster.

More of a hostel than a hotel. Positives: location - close to the train station (about 15 minutes walking slowly) towards the center, a short distance from there is the Mirabel Palace with its beautiful gardens - the first highlight of Salzburg. But that's the end of the pros, maybe there's still the option to leave heavy luggage in the room at the back of the stairs, if you want to go to the city lightly and you don't have a room yet or it's already available, because you can check in the room only after 3pm and you have to vacate it by 11am. Negatives: quite a high price for what we got. The first inconvenience is the absence of a reception desk. That shouldn't be a problem - you simply get an access code to get to both the building (but only after 3pm) and the room. Who needs a receptionist? But it is the late "check-in" or access inside that can be unpleasant. Although you can leave heavy suitcases in the storage room, at your own risk - if someone opens the entrance door for you, but still... Room equipment - they keep bragging about how eco-friendly they are, there are barcodes everywhere where you can read about it. The fact that you put branches instead of hangers, apple crates instead of shelves, tree stumps instead of chairs, etc. doesn't make you eco... Bunk beds, "mattresses" harder than the floor, a pillow - after one night my back got really bad and the next I was really broken today. But the main problem is the toilets and bathrooms - On the website, the hostel boasts a large bathroom, lots of showers, etc. 1 common tiny bathroom for the whole floor, which is both a shower and a toilet... Plus in the mezzanines (some) an even bigger bathroom with a washing machine, 1 toilet and three shower cubicles, but they are always occupied by 1 person and if they get locked in there, you just have to wait. 1 kitchen with two tables for the entire hostel... Well, at least the water can be heated there in a kettle, because the coffee machine didn't work (it was coin-operated anyway). The walls are not plastered in a few places, the rooms are tiny, in short - for the price - maybe 3 times more expensive than the hostel in Linz, which was much more comfortable. For me, I don't really recommend it, not even for a simple sleepover - due to the uncomfortable beds.

Place looks nice on the website, not so great in real life. Toilets are designed impractically and we had a room with no ventilation except the two windows that are directly to the train tracks.If you search for it on Google maps, don't get fooled by the indicator pointing to the side of the house that is away from the tracks, it's the whole width of the house along the Schwarzstraße.But it's central and easy to reach from the station (just follow the tracks)

My daughter and I had to leave these rooms after one night spending there and find another hotel. For the same price it was easy to find something much better. Our room was on the 4th floor- it was unbearable hot and noisy. There is a train line nearby, so we couldn’t open windows. Very small, dark, shabby room. There were two toilets for the floor, we had always to wait. The toilets are clean, but they smell of chlorine. The shower stinks, I think, it is also often used as a toilet.. Breakfast costs €10, but all I’ve seen were bread, spreads, vegan coffee..

OK place, I like the “eco” idea, but the execution could be a lot better.First the good parts:+ Good location half way between the train station and the old town.+ Nice little communal kitchen on the 1st floor.+ Clean rooms.Now the not-so-good parts:- Very dated and pretty run down interior.- Tiny door lock key pads made it hard to see & press the right numbers.- Strangely designed bunk beds with naked filament LED lamps hanging from the ceiling. Unfortunately, that means that your late night reading will keep everyone else up too.- Nailing a few rustic wooden boxes on the wall is not great for storage.- My room had a shower cabin in the room itself, but no toilet. Seems like a strange choice, but OK. Unfortunately, the shower had no shelf for the soap and only had a flimsy curtain so the (room) floor got pretty wet too.- Very flaky and virtually unusable WiFi in my room on the 4th floor. I had to go down to the communal kitchen to get a workable connection.- There were stickers with QR codes all over my room, but I have no idea what they were for because none of the links worked. I guess someone thought it would be “cool”, but an actual written note would have been more useful.- It was super hot when I was there and the lack of AC made sleeping in the room almost unbearable. The included small fan that helped a bit, though.- The noise from the nearby train tracks can be very loud if you try to keep the window open at night.- Pretty pricey vegan (only) breakfast focused around bread & spreads. Some might see it as a positive thing, but for me it was a big drawback and I wish they would have mentioned this on their website before I included it in my booking.

I had a terrible stay at The Keep Eco Rooms. I found bed bugs in my mattress and couldn't stay there. The communal shower was disgusting and very dirty. The staff were very difficult to contact and did nothing to help me. I had to book a new hotel and I was never refunded for my stay. I would NEVER recommend staying here to anyone. It was terrible.

1. dont even dare to go into your room before 15 o'clock! or you have to pay a 15€ fine for checking in a few minutes earlier!2. no eyes closed this night!the hotel is right next to the trainstation and sleeping feels like lying onto the rails the whole night long.3. prison vibes!this hotel may have a 'cool rustical' style but in reality the rooms are dark, the walls looks moldy and the showers are not even lockable. additionally there are waaaaay to little toilets and showers for the amount of rooms.
