The rooms weren't bad. It was modernly furnished. One disadvantage was the washbasin in the room. The water splashes everywhere in the room. The shower door was also the toilet door. Our bed squeaked very loudly when you changed the sleeping position. The hotel is relatively close to Oktoberfest.Overall the hotel was good.

Unfortunately, I can only agree with various critical reviews. I stayed there overnight for a series of events in October 2023 due to its proximity to the venue and wasn't really satisfied. The room with a balcony facing the inner courtyard was comparatively modern, but quite impractical. The separation of the bathroom and toilet area with a single sliding door takes a lot of getting used to, as do the window shades, there is no proper desk at all, and the TV was reminiscent of my first 15-inch LCD monitor over 20 years ago. The advertised location facing the inner courtyard quickly turned out to be problematic, as there is an outdoor restaurant and beer garden in the inner courtyard. During my stay, just a few guests who sat there late into the evening during the warm autumn weather were enough for me to finally have to unpack the Oropax Ultra. What bothered me the most, however, was that immediately before the third block of events in June 2024, I unfortunately became ill at short notice and had to cancel the booking for three nights worth a total of 520 euros due to a doctor-certified inability to travel. Unfortunately, the hotel management was very inflexible and uncooperative. Despite a certificate and meaningful photos, my application for a proportional refund of the cancellation costs (100% of the booking price) was rejected. Instead I was offered a 20% discount on the next booking. Given an experience like this, do you really think I will book again?Having traveled a lot in my life, I have experienced significantly more goodwill in such cases. Ultimately, this is more a question of desire than ability and shows what satisfied guests are really worth to the management of the hotel.Overall, I would no longer want to recommend the hotel in good conscience - neither privately nor to the organizer of the seminars attended.

Stayed here on a trip to explore Munich and hit up Oktoberfest. Staff was great and location was amazing! Super close walk to Oktoberfest but was not loud. Close to stations. Easy to walk to various attractions within Munich. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, also very cute! and slight switched up daily. I spent a long time searching for a place to stay and chose Hotel Gio and I am 100% happy with booking this hotel. Rooms were clean. The bathroom and shower door flips to close one or the other (side by side), this was totally fine for my husband and I but could potentially be odd for a new couple. I Would absolutely stay here again and want to be back there now! Book it :)

Reserved room for 4 friends on tour at the Oktoberfest. (Room no. 6 on the ground floor)A double bed and a double sofa bed. Not very large but clean and functional. The shower has a glass that makes it visible to the other guests in the room... we didn't even notice that there is a 'Venetian blind' on the wall that can be used to make the shower a little more intimate🤣🤣Perfect location for the center and the Oktoberfest. We didn't have breakfast so no idea about price/quality.The price of the room (570eur per night with occupancy of 4 people) is absolutely in line with similar offers from other hotels during the October holiday.

Hotel Gio, a modern tragedy.Disclosure: I traveled with 6 people total including myself and we had a total of 3 rooms.First let's talk about the stairs, stairs everywhere. There is no escaping them from the car garage to the hotel underground entrance down one small flight and up another. the elevator is tiny, one person can fit with 3 mid size rolling suitcases and that's it. Also the elevator exits between floors meaning, yep you guessed it more stairs! Yay.Let's talk about the rooms briefly at first glance they appear very modern, floating shelves and a "desk". But our room had multiple problems, the light fixtures at the bed were loose so they just kept pointing down, the sink foscet had mineral deposits so thick when you turned it on it sprayed everywhere. Our room was on level 1 and we caught all the cigarette smoke from the beer garden and the beds woah buddy I'll go into more detail in the rooms section. So is it worth it at it's given price point? Maybe it seems it's a roll of the dice on what style of room you get or if the stuff in it works. The location is prime for sure with Oktoberfest grounds a short walk away and several food options, close pharmacies, and transportation options.

Unfortunately nothing good (at least to report from our visit). The rooms are so poorly insulated that you can hear every word from everywhere. We were looking forward to the central location but could hardly sleep due to street noise and the aforementioned problems with the rooms. Waking up refreshed from a hotel looks different. The reception is also sparsely attended and difficult to reach by phone if you have any questions in advance. We have been to Munich many times and I have to say that there are much better and cheaper hotels in the area. Maybe it was just a bad room, which can sometimes be the case, but for us it was a flop.

The room is nice with a balcony. The bed could be repaired. The bed cracks with every turn. Because of this we couldn't sleep well. The toilet door is also the shower door. At first I thought that was very funny and a good idea until I took a shower and then the door was wet and the rest of the floor. The toilet light comes on with a motion detector. When you go to Kurt at night and lie down again, the light is still on for a while with ventilation. There are no curtains to pull, just a wooden privacy screen that lets a lot of light through.
