Perfect for our active short trip. If you don't feel comfortable here or something is missing, you haven't looked at the concept of the hotel! Thank you for a great stay!

Great hotel, with normal requirements.Parking is large and free for guests, also has underground parking (chargeable). I particularly recommend the breakfast, with fresh Alpine milk from the area.Rooms are tidy and cleaned. The bathroom is small, but it can fit approximately 2-3 people. There is a safe in every room. It's best to see for yourself in Explorer Hotels Berchtesgadener Land on the homepage as I'm not allowed to give a link here. The hotel is not far from Königssee, about 18 minutes on foot and 4 minutes by bike or e-scooter.IMPORTANT: TREKKING or MOUNTAIN BOOTS!!! If you wear sandals or flip flops, you shouldn't be surprised if you get injuries and pain.

The room smelled and was full of arachnids. The design, furnishings and colors can no longer be described as a matter of taste. The open cupboards look as if car tires had been driven over them, the floor is reminiscent of a craft table after a children's party, the picture above the bed on the ceiling is the most unaesthetic, unnecessary and tasteless thing I have ever experienced and the bathroom looks as if it had been someone vomits in it. A bathroom trash can without a trash bag is absolutely inappropriate in a hotel and why are there no tables or chairs? What you offer is hardly usable, especially not if you close the curtains (in the evening). After all, you can't avoid it, otherwise every hotel guest who arrives will stare straight into your room with a panoramic view. Whether wanted or not. What kind of privacy is that? Bah! The service is quite nice.

I very rarely write reviews, but unfortunately I can't resist it here. I have never slept so badly and paid so dearly for it!Positive:The employees were mostly very friendly and helpful.Great location for activities at Königssee.Breakfast was good, there is a bistro and bar right in the hotel and a small wellness area.Basically a cool concept of a base station for mountain athletes.NEGATIVE:You feel like you are in a youth hostel/hostel. Rooms are small, carelessly furnished and very noisy. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (thin hard mattress, creaky bed frame, 2 single beds pushed together with a wide crack in between, very uncomfortable as a pair, thin flat pillows) and we could clearly hear the neighbor snoring through the wall. The balcony is tiny and is only suitable for keeping drinks cold; there is no fridge. There was mold in the joints in the bathroom and no windows or ventilation. This is probably also the reason for the poor indoor climate in the entire room, which irritated my respiratory tract to such an extent that I had a constant urge to cough. This disappeared as soon as we left the room.Sauna was ok, but nothing special and unfortunately there was only water in the infusion (so you can actually save yourself that).I'm really not demanding and have stayed in similarly bad accommodations on various trips. However, they were also very cheap, so I accept certain compromises. But for 200 euros per night I really would have expected more!!! For the money you don't even get a towel for the sauna, which has to be rented for a fee.At checkout we were not asked if we had a pleasant stay. The fact that we unfortunately slept very badly was only acknowledged with disinterest and no further attention was paid to it. So much for being interested in personal feedback here...We will not book the hotel again and will not recommend it!

Good location, room was also fine, nice view. The only bad thing we could find was the additional charge. The restaurant menu states that you can get coffee and tea with your room pass, which is fine. But you will receive an additional charge when you check out. Talking about mismanagement. Well, if you pay almost 1400 for 8 nights, dog and breakfast, this should not have been a thing. But the food was preheated and the coffee and tea were 4.80 each. The coffee was weak. Not worth the price.I think if they want to do this right, they will lower the price in proportion and make it very clear that if you use it, it is not free. (Put a sign next to it!)And in terms of food. The portions were small for a kebab sandwich and spaghetti and more expensive than the locals for a meal. The club sandwich however was good. Good proportion. Therefore two stars for service. It is not the fault of the people who really did their best, you see that they try.But mismanagement did all kinds of things. It should be better. The room was good, the cleaning staff friendly.

A pretty good hotel, toothbrush cups would be nice and maybe think about new pillows but otherwise not bad. The breakfast selection is great and the people who work there are very relaxed. The location of the hotel is ideal. Parking for one €... it couldn't be better.

Extremely disappointed!!!We booked one night on site for an incredible €236 (including breakfast)The room was super small, I'm 175cm tall and couldn't enjoy a view, so instead of mountains there was only a sloping roof (see pictures)Bed linen was dirty with stains and foreign hair, pillows smelled, and mattresses were very uncomfortable.Breakfast was also bad. Rolls were dry, cakes burned.Since the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, windows are open everywhere and that led to hundreds of wasps in there. Was impossible to eat or take anything.

Just the right hotel for day trippers and athletes. The rooms are practical and modernly furnished. Everything was clean! The staff is friendly. At breakfast there is what you need. …
