A great hotel to feel good. The staff is very warm, the restaurant and breakfast are rich and everything tastes delicious. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Can only recommend it 👍

Depending on the operation, unfortunately!!!! If you just have the wine slammed on the table without anything being poured, it's not that great, then you have to calculate the packaging for taking the leftovers with you, and without a word from one day to the next, that's not possible!!! We live in town and find it cozy and always nice outside, but inside, depending on the service, you don't feel comfortable!! Young waitress with glasses, dark hair, quite young, is a NO GO for us!! Soggy and somehow doesn't allow you to feel comfortable. What a shame actually!

Very friendly staff, attentive and accommodating. Went there with a large group, 40 people. The food was prepared quickly and well.Space capacity is sufficient. Only recommended.

We have been coming here for overnight stays for 16 years now and are still very satisfied. This is where our vacation begins year after year. Nice rooms, very good food and very friendly staff. Some service staff feel like you've known them since the beginning. Kind regards to the whole team and keep it up! See you soon.

I pushed my bike between Rosenheim and Rohrdorf because I had a flat tire. I couldn't patch the hose on my own because the jacket was extremely stiff and I had trouble putting it on. The hotel owner at the post office was my rescue. He was also riding his racing bike. Before Rohrdorf he offered to help me if I came to the hotel. In his workshop we were able to insert a new hose and only with a combined effort could we put the jacket back on. Thank you very much for your extreme willingness to help. Finding a beautiful, open beer garden in the area during the autumn festival season is not always easy, even as a local.Today's election is based on the post office in Rohrdorf.I was looking forward to a fresh Auerbräu Märzen beer and something good to eat.Unfortunately I can't write anything about the food or the beer, we failed because of the lack of service.We sat at a table (No. 94) a little away (since the garden was full) and had to wait a while until a service came to at least the neighboring tables.I asked the lady politely if we could order right away, but the answer was pretty harsh: "Those aren't my tables, I'll be happy if I can get mine!" Another 15 minutes later there was still no service.When we got up and left, we heard from a table where the waitress was standing that people were leaving now...comment from the waitress...yeah, that's fine, I can't do it anyway...Dear innkeeper,I completely understand that it is high season and there are not enough staff in the restaurant.However, a smile or a little charm from the service could make up for a lot so that you feel welcome as a guest and don't leave the restaurant frustrated after 30 minutes!But Eve. The focus at the post office is now (like some other inns in the area) more on the tourist/excursion market than on locals.

As locals, we have been eating Stocker for a long time, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. Paying €20 for a grill plate for 3 small pieces of meat and a ¾ sausage, a hand of fries and no less than 7 pieces of small grilled vegetables is really not very appropriate for Rohrdorf and is unrelated and we made ourselves some bread at home. Shame. The conditions were still friendly.

I would like to write a review about the Gasthof Zur Post in Rohrdorf. Over the last few years we have visited this hotel-restaurant several times (an average of 3 times per year), both for overnight stays and for dinner.In my opinion, an important aspect in gastronomy is that you are perceived as a guest. You should feel welcome and if you come more often you should be recognized. If you have any questions, you should be taken seriously and not fobbed off with “It’s right there, just look at the map.” The attitude here seems to be that you should be happy to be here at all.We were there yesterday too (we're staying somewhere else nearby now). We sat on the terrace and were initially ignored by several waitresses. Then someone came to us. When asked why we were ignored at first, she responded nonchalantly with "I don't know anything, I just came." Afterwards we ordered drinks and looked at the menu. When we asked questions about the menu, we were told “It’s right there” and “Just look at the menu”. No affinity for the guest, no friendliness, just businesslike and distant. After this incident we paid for the drinks and went to eat somewhere else.This hotel/restaurant seems to be aimed primarily at large groups (organized bus tours) and people staying for a night on the way to another destination. It's mainly about mass and sales. The atmosphere is very businesslike and the human aspect is often missing. With a few exceptions, this is the case for many employees.

We were on the way back from Croatia as a family of 4 in mid-August 2024. After 500km, of which it felt like 480km were in traffic jams, we were all exhausted and just wanted to eat something quickly and then fall into bed. Then we came to the reception of the Hotel zur Post, where there was already a lot going on. It was simply impressive to see how calmly, professionally and smilingly the young woman at reception managed the not inconsiderable rush. Then it was our turn and we immediately felt comfortable and... really welcome. We haven't experienced anything like that before.The booking via booking.com went smoothly on the way there, and so - as requested - we were given a really quiet room in the building opposite the actual hotel. There are also plenty of parking spaces there.Now just take the suitcases in the elevator to the room on the first floor, take a first look inside and then quickly go to the restaurant. There was also a lot going on here, but even here we only met friendly, smiling, relaxed employees who patiently responded to all of our requests. The food was really great and I finally got my beloved pork knuckle, which made me forget the stress of the day.Later, back in the room, we discovered that the appropriate bedding for the sofa bed was missing. Shortly after I called the reception, the young woman came and prepared the bed for our children. We thought it was really great and this experience rounded off the absolutely great impression that the house and the entire team had made on us right from the start. I have nothing to add about breakfast the next morning. The other reviewers have actually mentioned everything. For me, it was more about giving an impression of the personal commitment of the entire team.I would really stay here again at any time. Maybe even next year when we go to Croatia again🤗

We didn't book our room at the hotel at short notice. In the description there was and is always talk of two buildings and not a third. Since we didn't arrive until after 5:30 p.m. we only got a room in this third building. This gives the visual impression of being a 2nd or 3rd class guest. When we complained about this room, we were told that this room was one of the newest rooms, planned by an interior designer... In front of the balcony (with no separation from the neighbor) there is a large tree that darkens the room. That's probably why dark furniture was chosen to darken the room even more. Black lamps do not leave the dust undetected. When the room was renovated, the bathroom door was not replaced, at least the frame was painted over. Whether there has to be a radio in the bathroom...The room number on the door is a sticker that was in the process of being removed. In keeping with the warm summer season, there were blankets so thick that they would make you sweat in the winter even without heating. Since there is no air conditioning, you have to sleep with the balcony door open, which extends to the bed. The scent of a cowshed or a smokehouse wafts in alternately.We can't judge the quality of the breakfast because everything was occupied. We have never experienced 2.5 hours for breakfast with so many guests. What particularly struck us was that the food on offer was presented in too small an area. The service was totally overwhelmed.Only the dinner can be described as good to very good in quality. But, 2 service staff, only one of whom takes orders and collects them, is just as tight for 3 areas used for catering as the above-mentioned area for breakfast. There are 3 employees at the reception…These and other facts made us leave early. We cannot and do not want to make a recommendation.
