Our stay at the NEC Hotel left mixed impressions. The rooms are undoubtedly spacious and modernly furnished, which creates a comfortable ambience at first glance. The style of the hotel is more reminiscent of a motel, which definitely has its own charm.Unfortunately, there were some problems with cleanliness during our stay, which spoiled the overall impression. In the first room we found a lot of small black hairs on the bed, which was quite uncomfortable for us as neither my partner nor I have black hair. After we reported this issue via Booking.com, the hotel responded immediately and gave us a new room. Unfortunately there was some hair in this bed too, although significantly less than in the first one.In addition, we noticed toothpaste residue in the sink and crumbs on the floor in the second room. Although these were easy to remove, they shouldn't actually be there in the first place when the room is thoroughly cleaned. Similar traces of dust and crumbs could also be found in the first room.Overall, the NEC Hotel offered attractive accommodation, but there is a clear need for improvement in terms of cleanliness and communication. The hotel's quick response to our issue was positive, but care should be taken to ensure that the rooms are hygienic and clean from the start to make guests' stay more comfortable.

I booked 4 rooms for one night.In 3 of 4 rooms the door could be opened without any problems using the activation code.However, in one room it didn't work after several attempts.I tried calling the emergency number twice.But after 30 minutes in the queue, I gave up.We then had to look for another place to stay overnight at short notice.Difficult because the location is in the middle of an industrial area.Now 2 weeks have passed and I still haven't received a response from the operator, even though I contacted them directly the next day.

I am very happy with the room. Nice facilities, large fridge and kitchenette great. Great bathroom, not far from the city center. With the pin for the lock, worked perfectly.

I can't understand the negative reviews. Rooms are modernly furnished and the dust comes from the carpet that is placed around the bed. This just happens with NEW carpeting and will decrease. Kitchen utensils are completely sufficient for 2 people and for coffee you just use the kettle provided. Large refrigerator with freezer compartments. Room access via pin entry is also practical and worked perfectly for me. Thank you that there are still hotels with fair prices.🙏

Sleeping on the construction site 😄Unfortunately, a lot of things aren't quite finished yet, but otherwise it's a good place to spend the night. All things new!Beds very hard!No coffee machine!Not really cleaned thoroughly!But what's really annoying is that the windows on the ground floor (almost floor-to-ceiling) can easily be opened from the outside when tilted!!!Please dear management and Mr. Architect, this urgently needs to be reconsidered!!!Otherwise you only have the choice between restless/unsafe sleep or keeping the windows closed! 😱 urgently needs to be changed!!!

This was the worst hotel experience of our entire lives. The management was inhumane. I strongly advise all travelers to avoid this hotel under any circumstances.The electronic door key system broke down, and no one noticed until we arrived. All hotel guests shared one master key the entire time, which means everyone could open everyone's room. The worst thing is that the master key, which can open all room doors, was lost on our last evening. This is a motel, so there is no reception, no security, and no main gate. Your room door is open to the street door, so your safety and privacy are based on your trust in the other unknown hotel guests.(There is no on-site staff; all communication is through a remote, outsourced call center!)Besides, our room has a strong, toxic chemical odor (probably formaldehyde) from the new furniture. This cancer-causing chemical is extremely toxic and gave us headaches, despite keeping the windows open all night.I believe the worst thing about this hotel is its management. The hotel is far from ready to open, but they are so greedy that they couldn't wait to open before it becomes a safe place to stay for travelers. When there was an accident such as the failure of the door key system, nobody from the hotel cared about their guests. They didn't send any technicians to fix the problem, or even a staff member to coordinate and support the guests. One lady staying next door wasn't able to open her room simply because the door system broke down and the only master key was lost. So she became homeless by 10:00 PM, when all her belongings were locked in her room and the call center people went offline. There were no apologies or any message or call from the hotel manager about this disaster! This is the least a hotel can do.
