The hotel is in a quiet location, but not really outside. Shops are within walking distance, as are restaurants. It's just a few minutes' drive to the center of Regensburg and parking spaces in Regensburg are no problem. The hotel's service is fantastic. I would like to give this 10 stars!!!The rooms are spacious, very clean and you can sleep well in the beds. Coffee machines and TVs are in the rooms and the sauna will be heated immediately upon request if it is not already in use. The free WiFi works perfectly. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Large selection of breads, rolls and everything that goes with them.Unfortunately, there were problems with the electronic key cards during my stay, but that can happen anywhere. The staff worked incredibly hard to ensure guests still had a pleasant stay and to rectify this shortcoming.I would love to come back!!!Thanks in particular to the hotel manager Peter Ritter and to Clarissa for the wonderful time at the ACHAT Hotel.

Very friendly and helpful. Location a little outside, but also easily accessible by public transport (bus line 5). Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The only negative thing is the mattresses, which are way too soft. Unpleasant!

Every day brings a new experience, and this hotel definitely fits into that category. The check-in process at reception was an adventure in itself. The receptionist not only struggled with English but also seemed to have no idea how to operate the booking system. By the time he managed to program my room key card, I had practically worn a hole in the floor from waiting. However, the card only worked to get me to the elevator, where I was greeted by a visibly intoxicated colleague of the staff who offered to show me my room. On the way up, she forgot the room number and had to call the reception to find out. When we finally reached the room, it was unclean, so she opted for a rather unconventional method of opening random rooms to see if any were clean. I can only imagine how uncomfortable the other guests must have felt as she barged into their rooms!Eventually, she got lucky and declared, “This is your room.” After mumbling something incoherent about going to fetch the key card for the room, she left. The room itself was fine—clean, spacious, and comfortable. However, my pleasant first impression quickly disappeared when I entered the bathroom, where I was greeted by an unbearable smell that persisted throughout my entire one-night stay.Since nobody came after an hour of waiting, I left my room (without a functioning key) and went down to the reception. The same receptionist was there, showing no sign of remembering anything about my key issue. So, I asked the only competent person, the local male receptionist, who informed me that their key card system wasn’t working. He said that whenever I wanted to go back to my room, he would have to accompany me to open the door manually. In summary, it’s a shame that what seems to be a decent hotel is ruined by issues that could easily be fixed. Unfortunately, I highly doubt that I’ll be staying here again.

It is definitely a one off, but when I arrived the staff and guests where already in panic mode as the system was down. As crisis management, they sent up guests to rooms which have been already occupied, just as try and error. Really bad when you’re sleeping in your room and strange people get access to your room. The lady at the front desk gave up, so I had to talk to someone on the phone, trying to find a solution. After 1.5hrs of panic, they booked a room in a hotel 20mins away … which is the second star for finding a solution.
