We stayed as a family in the 4 bed room with a private bathroom. It was a bit tight, and my adult son did not love the top bunk, but the beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. I would recommend this hotel, as its location was perfect and it was a cheaper family option. Breakfast was simple, but well executed

Good location, very near main station and attractions.I got double room facing the main street which turns out to be quite noisy because of the thin windows. The guy at front desk promptly changed me to another room facing courtyard which is quieter. The windows cannot be fully opened so it gets quiet hot in the summer. Overall fair for the price.

This place is fine. Rooms were okay - but cold water in shower and heaps of street noise as right next to the bus station. Staff were friendly. We had a worse experience as room mates kept turning lights on at all hours… probably a good space if trying to save $$

I booked online a night there but I canceled immediately because of a personal problem I had. They refund me in just a few minutes, during the night despite the fact they weren't forced by the law. So one thing is true, amazing people good services.

This Is a youth hostel, but you pay like an hotel! For room service you have to ask, and maybe they are going to clean your room. In any case you have to prepare the beds! Toilette are ok but no for Kids, and can be dangerous for them. No option to male the room darker because the tends are not enough! I Will not recommend this for family.

We stayed in a room facing the street. It was very loud and we could hear the noise from the street the whole night. The curtains were not wide enough to cover the windows, so the room was bright as soon as the sun rose up.||||Because of the noise and the brightness, it's not easy to have a good night sleep during our stay.

Horrible experience. Fire alarm went off two times during the night when nothing was happening. At 4 in the night when it was keep going we decided to leave after 3 hours of sleep. Staff was friendly but there was no management to be seen, very bad to see no management during a crisis like this.

Pros:-Price-LocationCons:-LocationIf you don't mind sleeping next to an awfully loud and noisy street from which CONSTANTLY COMES SOUNDS OF TRAMS, DRUNK LOCALS AND TOURIST, VERY VERY LOUD CARS RAVING THEIR ENGINES. If you need at least moderate silence or more you won't be able to sleep there for even an hour

They send a guy up to my female dorm at 22u to share this below bed with. Several mistakes made. Would not stay again. Cheapest place in Nurnberg but just not worth it. I recommend spending a bit more on a place where you feel comfortable and can get a good nights sleep.

Had a bit of a nightmare stay at this hostel. Despite booking 2 beds in a ‘x3 bunk bed room’ with lockers, we were given a double bed which had no lockers.Staff were quick to recommend keeping our stuff in the luggage storage, which was a room with a single key to enter. It is not secure at all, anybody could go in and take your stuff. The paid lockers were an absolute scam too at 4 euros per 24hrs. As such we were forced to keep all of our valuables on us for the first night. The room itself was a strange layout with a blocked up shower and a very noisy street outside. My partners sleep tracker app picked up noise in excess of 90-95dB throughout the night, which is loud enough to cause permanent hearing damage over long term exposure. A miracle that we got any sleep at all that night really. We decided to talk to the staff at reception the next morning about switching rooms as we saw that there was space in a private twin room for that night. It seemed like a reasonable ask given that we checked the price and it was actually cheaper that day than the room we booked months in advance. The staff explained that they had no control over upgrading or switching rooms. They said that we would need to call the office help line to permit this.We did this and reached a representative named ‘Albert’ (or so he told us) who said he made the switch on the system. However, upon talking to the reception staff, he had not made this change. He had outright lied to us over the phone. The staff at the reception took action on this, hence why I am leaving at least a bit of a good review for them as they did try their best, and switched us to a 4 person room which was empty. Seemed like a good result but really the staff at the hostel should be able to directly act on this and not have to have customers complain to a phone line. Props to the reception staff anyway. After all of this the stay was ok and we got some sleep in the new room. I’ve managed to receive a refund for half of our stay by charging back on PayPal for the hostel which I think is a fair outcome. It also has to be noted that the other facilities in the hostel are quite weird and not fit for purpose. The communal kitchen is locked and so are several bathrooms on the main floor which is odd for a hostel. The bar is staffed by the same staff as the reception too so it’s often short staffed. The price for beer here is absolutely criminal so don’t bother with the bar, walk down the road to a local bar and pay 3 euros less. The hostel is close to the main station but that is its only benefit really.I think overall I cannot recommend this hostel or any A&O hostel based on this experience. Go somewhere else. The Premier Inn across the road was actually cheaper upon checking! Don’t bother with this place.Edit: response from the team is obviously automated, what wasn’t specific enough? Did you even read it?
