Very nice hotel. Breakfast very good and tasty. Dogs can come with you for breakfast. You can sit inside or under a glass roof or completely outside. We liked it very much. Rooms are large and clean. Staff is very very friendly.

Unfortunately, Dormero Schlosshotel Reichenschwand needs it?We spent two nights at the Schlosshotel Reichenschwand on the way back and forth from Austria. It is a wonderful location with interesting buildings, its own park-like area, and many almost enchanted corners. The rooms are quite spacious for the prices and the breakfast is rich. Of course, you can notice minor defects in the rooms (minibar door not screwed on properly, shower head not installed correctly, broken night light, small holes in the curtain), but the interior design was done with love and an eye for detail within a tight budget.The hotel staff is sufficiently friendly and practically oriented, unfortunately the staff likes to smoke on the stairs in front of the entrance, and right when you check in you are pressured to decide whether you want to eat there in the evening, but in principle you as a guest are usually welcome Help. At the time we visited, the bar didn't have all the items on the menu (cherry juice out, tonic water out), but these are actually details that I would never have mentioned in other reviews. Unfortunately, the reception is not staffed in the morning and the only response to questions is “please call”, but this is probably due to Dormero’s general cost structure.I wouldn't have thought anything of it, but a complaint about subsequent payments shines a different light on the castle hotel? Do you need every euro? Is Dormero Reichenschwand financially at its limit? Is the efficient, less personal behavior on site a result of an imbalance?Why am I asking this, and I look forward to comments and feedback on whether I am reacting incorrectly here:I had booked 2x2 double rooms. I made a mistake on my first booking (entering it one night too late), and that was in the “Fancy Rate” tariff without a cancellation policy.I believe I never completed the booking. Doermero says I had it and then canceled it.Let's say I completed it and then canceled it, then Dormero Reichenschwand says there were 61 seconds between booking and cancellation. Based on these 61 seconds and the terms and conditions, they charge roughly EUR 220.My request for goodwill and my point out that in 61 seconds no costs were incurred in the sense of a lack of vacancy or expenses for Dormero that objectively justify EUR 220 were not met. My contact with Dormero quality management at managing director level was ignored.Am I overreacting? Does “tough luck” apply here? Is 61 seconds something on the basis of which a company should fully exploit the legal framework?I think no, and the only reason I can see for a large chain to do so is: Dormero Schlosshotel Reichenschwand needs every euro.It's a shame about the beautiful location!

Don't charge anything for dogs. Very friendly staff. Quiet location with a beautiful castle complex.

Nice hotel with good value for money

Park. Breakfast on the terrace by the stream. Kind welcome. Clean rooms. The rooms should have had some maintenance work (humming / non-switchable air conditioner, problematic shower thermostat). The beer bottle in the mini bar was empty. The Wi-Fi password provided did not work. There is no concierge at night.

Good place for overnight stays when driving from DK towards Austria and Italy.

Well furnished and spacious rooms. The location of the hotel is nice on a river. Attention, this can be heard clearly. Price-performance is definitely good. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was not optimal. Hence fewer stars. We didn't have breakfast.
