We were guests in the wonderful hotel from October 5th to October 10th, 2024.When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and shown the beautifully furnished and, above all, clean hotel rooms with a beautiful view of the mountains. You had the opportunity to get snacks or drinks from the fridge at any time. The entire staff was very attentive and nice. The family atmosphere made you feel very welcome as a guest and not like one of many. The breakfast was also just fantastic! There was something for everyone. You were welcomed at the table in the morning and could choose which coffee and egg you would like, so that in the evening you were already looking forward to breakfast the next morning. We'll definitely be back! :-)

A hotel furnished with great attention to detail. Super warm hostesses who always try to make everyone feel comfortable. The room we live in (family room) is also very nice, for up to 4 people. The hotel has a small disadvantage as it is located on the main street of the town and the traffic from our room can be quite loud if the window is open. The way to the lake can be done in 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car.

Great welcome, friendly people and breakfast was a gift every morning🤩. We come to many hotels, but this breakfast is really number 1. The entire hotel is decorated in style, and close to the Chiemsee. Definitely recommended🌞

Beautiful bed and breakfast run with love. The breakfast is great. We were able to park and charge our e-bikes in the garage. Our room with a terrace facing the courtyard was quite small and could only be ventilated through the door and a window (no cross ventilation possible). You couldn't leave the door open because it faced the courtyard (the rooms higher up with a balcony are better). In addition, the adjacent street is quite busy and loud. Location to Chiemsee is good, less than 10 minutes by bike.

We recently spent wonderful days in one of the hotel's apartments. Everything was a success and we felt very comfortable. This was partly due to the hospitality of the owners, who conjure up a great breakfast buffet in the morning and always make guests feel welcome. Absolute recommendation if you want to vacation in/around Lake Chiemsee.

Perfect, gracious hostesses!We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel zur Sonne for 4 days and it really was a pleasure. The friendliness and helpfulness of mother and daughter, the ambience that the two ladies have created in the house, especially in the breakfast room, is equally elegant, tasteful and cozy. The breakfast offering was very varied, delicious, imaginative, no wish was left unfulfilled. If you are sensitive to noise, you should try for a room at the back, as there is a lot of traffic on the street, but only during the day.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel at the end of March. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and personally shown to our room. This was small but nice, very clean and lovingly furnished.Let's quickly come to the only "negative" point: the rooms are a bit noisy. If there are people in the hallway you will notice it. But we had no problems with it at night.Moving on to the consistently positive points:The breakfast was impeccable! Lovingly prepared and rich and also very tasty. What should also be emphasized here is the courteous and friendly nature of the employees, who make breakfast a real feel-good breakfast. We felt very well looked after and were thrilled by the ambience and service!There are also more than enough parking spaces. We have rarely had the parking situation be so uncomplicated.The location is also great. It's not far to Lake Chiemsee and there are plenty of hiking routes in the area.All in all, one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We can recommend it wholeheartedly and would be happy to come back when we are on holiday in the area.Thank you again for the wonderful stay!

Location:Easy to find and plenty of parking right outside the door. Nearby there is the beautiful Chiemsee or the Kampenwand for a nice hike.Rooms and general information about the hotel:The room was very stylishly furnished and had everything you need. A small TV, a desk and a very nice and modern bathroom as well as a comfortable double bed (unfortunately 2 mattresses) filled the room. Unfortunately, the rooms are extremely noisy and our bathroom only had a small window for ventilation.The hotel, especially the breakfast area, was the highlight for us. Incredibly beautiful, lovingly and homely decorated. We felt very comfortable.Service:When we arrived shortly before check-in time, we were greeted extremely friendly and shown the hotel and the room. In the morning at breakfast you really feel like you are in a palace and you are served very well. Personalized and freshly made scrambled eggs, served coffee and tea as well as homemade banana milk round off the lavish and varied buffet.Unfortunately there are no pancakes :/ otherwise everything your heart and stomach desires! We'd love to come back.
