I was very pleased with my stay at the hotel. I liked everything! I especially enjoyed the buffet-style breakfasts. The view of the mountains from the balcony is simply enchanting – a true beauty that can't be described in words. The staff were very helpful and always ready to assist with any questions. They definitely deserve the maximum number of stars! I recommend it to everyone looking for the perfect place to relax.

This place is beautiful, the views, the room, everything. Being from USA, if you are looking for an amazing place to stay, this is it. The hike from the train station is short, but uphill if you are carrying luggage. There is no air conditioning, or fans. If you sleep like I do with a fan blowing, you need to bring one. That is not the hotels fault, it sounds like a German thing. Another thing to think about, there is no ice or refrigerator. The breakfast is also amazing. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is quite traditional and therefore can come across as old fashioned. We loved it. ||All the amenities worked and the staff were nothing but friendly. It was late when we arrived so we checked in quickly and rushed off for dinner. Beds were nice and comfy.

The staff at this hotel are very hospitable and accommodating. Lena at breakfast is very sweet, polite, and patient (there was a language barrier but we figured it out 🙂).Every morning the staff greeted me with “ Guten Morgen” and when I arrived back after my adventures I was greeted with a welcoming “Hallo.”Unless I am in for a long stay I typically don’t opt for room service but the lady who meticulously cleans and fixes up the room is also very sweet and checked with me to make sure I didn’t need anything. Of the hotels I have stayed at in my two weeks in Germany, this one has been my absolute favorite. The service feels less corporate and more personable. I will stay here again if/when I return to Berchtesgaden.

There is a shortcut from the train station to the hotel, but it requires walking up a flight of stairs and an uphill stone path, making it impossible to walk with suitcases. …

Although the view from the balcony was great, you could tell that the hotel room was old. However, there are shopping stores and restaurants nearby, so you can take a walk and enjoy some nice food. The hotel is on a hill, so you have to walk up to get there.

Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten definitely has an historic feel to it and it's one of the reasons we chose this hotel. We had a junior suit at the rear of the hotel; it was adorably Southern Bavarian and very spacious! …

We had the pleasure of staying here for 10 nights. We must have had the best view for the whole of the town. Our room overlooked the Wattsman and town, perfect.. The hotel is rustic, and is just how we like it. …

Great place to stay.Rooms are good, breakfast was simple but good. The reception staff just lacked thatbibnly spirit. Located just down from the heart of Berchtesgaden. It is also not for the luggage laden tourist. To get to the rooms you have to navigate about 30 steps before reaching a small elevator. Overall I have no hesitation going here again. Infact will probably be back here next year.

The hotel is located at the center of the town, you can easily walk to the old town of Berchtesgaden. The view from the balcony is perfect, wonderful mountains. The rooms are maybe a bit outdated, but it kind of goes with the hotel's atmposphere, since it was built in 1860, and the lobby has some of the old furniture and setting. It is important to note that everything was clean, no issues there. You also get a bottle of mineral water in the room. The service is also great! I would especially like to commend the receptionist from Croatia (Crikvenica, to be precise, but unfortunately I don't know his name), who was really polite and helpful.
