I think the price/performance ratio is absolutely OK. Great central location from where you can easily explore Munich city center on foot. The room was functional and had everything you need for a weekend trip. A bit worn and worn, but absolutely fine for the price and in this location. Apart from a few stains in the carpet, it was also fairly clean. The only drawback. The bed was "hard as a rock".

Located in a strategic position, it allows visitors to move in any direction very easily.the rooms are "Spartan", on the contrary the beds are very comfortable, the bathroom very clean but dated.

Disappointed. I didn't think it was a good hotel. When you travel to Munich you think that the hotels have to be of better quality. This hotel is not one of them. Double room, it was very small with a double bed, two separate and too large mattresses, they came out of the couch on each side. There was very little space on the sides of the bed. The window opened in such a way that it was above your head, and on the other hand you had a kind of bookshelf, not even a closet. The plugs are very far from the bed.The bathroom was a disaster, with a shower tray so small that the curtain constantly stuck to your body and with all the germs, and to reduce more space at the height of your elbow there was a soap dispenser. When you were showering and a next-door neighbor was also showering, ice water fell on you "let's feel like we're at home."When you flushed the toilet you woke up who was sleeping in the room and the neighbors.The worst of all is that there was no room service, no one came to change your sheets or give you clean towels and toilet paper.And another thing that was almost worse was that there was no air conditioning, with the heat and humidity and muggy conditions in Munich, it would be very good to have air conditioning. Despite everything, I can't forget to mention that the beds seemed like a disaster but in the end they were quite comfortable.The only good thing about this hotel was the attention at the reception, the staff were super polite and friendly.

Great for just sleep and shower (shower was tight fit). No air and old pipe heat (we didn't need heat) noisy at night bc to keep comfortable window had to stay open. Service slow at first, but excellent and friendly. Appreciate the time spent there. Thanks

We were in Munich for octoberfest and Hotel Am Sedlinger Tor was great. The staff was very helpful and kind. Our room was great and just what we needed. It was clean and housekeeping was available whenever we needed it. The location was perfect because you can get around to any point of Munich easily by foot. Uber was available for quick trips as well when we needed it.

Sorry, but never again. Room is much too small, you can only sit on the bed because you need the bench under the window for your suitcases. Service was unfriendly, you had to look for sockets and apart from a few channels on the TV, the rest was encrypted. Only the location gets full marks. The highlight was the basket of condoms at the reception. If you want a love hotel, this is the right place for you. Thanks, but never again. P.S. You should have a maid come through every day. Hygienically it was borderline.

A very budget hotel. Tiny room with a tiny tiny bathroom. Good shower but drainage was very slow. No space for suitcases. Walls are paper thin and could hear everything happening in the next room and out in the corridor. No fridge. No kettle. No fresh towels. Would not recommend. Only positive was the young fella that checked us in

Johannes is perfect at reception but the other woman is particularly unfriendly, was eating while we arrived and just continued eating while paying. Very unpleasant and unhelpful.

The location is perfect. Few meters away from the tram and underground. A cross the road you are straight in the middle of a shopping pedestrian area, full of restaurants, pubs and cafe's. 10 mins away to the main square of Marienplatz.The rooms are on the small side but enough for a couple of days. The bathroom is also a bit on the smallish side. I loved the view of a large tree from our room, we had a big window facing the side road. It can be a bit noisy in the evening but the window is double glazed however in summer there is no AC.

The young woman who welcomed us was really very nice, she actually only gets 1 star in the rating.You have to say the location is also great, very loud in the evenings but great!But everything else? Simply terrible.The first room we got was horrible. But just walking through the hallways is terrible and you honestly feel like you're in a bad horror film.So the first room we went in and of course looked around first. We thought it was a really small room, but we didn't really care because it was only for a weekend. Then we went to the bathroom, first our toilet was dismantled in front of our feet and then we only saw something black in the toilet, there was just a hairdryer in there.We let us know immediately and the nice young lady at the reception apologized straight away, but also said that something like this had never happened before and that the rooms were actually good otherwise, which can't be true because all the reviews say something different.When we got another room, there were some empty bottles in front of our room and it smelled unbelievably, it was dirty and in dire need of renovation.Unfortunately, the sockets on the bed don't work, which is also a bad point because there are exactly 3 sockets in the small room, 1 didn't work and the other was connected to the TV.But for us that's not even the reason for this review.In the morning we went out to walk into town because it is very walkable.We parked behind the hotel where there was a sign saying "only for guests of the hotel", we didn't think anything of it and then stood there because we thought that we would be guests if we slept there for a weekend.When we wanted to go to the car in the morning, we noticed a white piece of paper on the windshield and of course we reacted immediately.First of all it was written there in polite words that we should please contact the reception because they apparently had to be reserved and you weren't allowed to just stand there as a guest.The kicker was the absolutely cheeky sentence in the box: What an impudence and arrogance to stand in our parking lot."We got a shock at first because we didn't even know that they had to be reserved.In any case, we went to reception to clarify and apologize. We were greeted by a younger gentleman who was extremely arrogant and totally provocative, and in the end they said they couldn't just park in a parking lot, even though it was signposted for guests only! You should perhaps not only write on the website that they are subject to a charge, but also to the providers where you book or if there is parking available on Google, simply add a chargeable note or note the reservation.After the money had been paid, we asked if we could reserve the place until Sunday, and all we got was a stroppy "Eh No" - just a cheek, the hotel manager should really think about who he's hiring here.The amazing thing was that there were opened/used condoms laying around in front of the hotel and in the driveway.So on the whole, this hotel really isn't recommended at all - the doors could theoretically be kicked in with a firm kick.The staff, apart from the young woman, are so rude and aloof.The letter still shocks us.Customer is king does not exist in this hotel!

The hotel is not very good... the value for money is poor.The only good point—perhaps the only one—is the location. It’s perfect for discovering Munich on foot. There’s no need to use a car or public transport.But as for everything else... it’s not good at all.We booked this hotel partly because it was said to have parking.However, when we arrived, they told us the parking was full, so it wasn’t possible to park our car.We had two options:park our car in a lot next to the hotel for 40€ per day 😱 or park in a lot 20 minutes away on foot for 20€ per day... unbelievable!As for the hotel itself: not good either...The common areas are old, but we didn’t mind that—we didn’t come to a hotel for the common areas.The room was very tiny and not very clean. The carpet was dirty with multiple stains. The bathroom wasn’t very clean either. There was no shower gel, shampoo, or hand soap provided.There was also no fridge, so it was impossible to keep any bottles of water cold.I don’t recommend this hotel…

Good hotel due to its location, very close to the center and the Munich subway, the rooms are small and so are the facilities, but if you are only going to sleep and bathe it is fine, don't expect more than a bed and a shower… by the way, the shower only had a curtain, in the end the entire bathroom was wet… there is no restaurant.
