Our room on the first floor was very clean and functionally furnished. The breakfast buffet was very varied, there was something for every taste. Also various drinks and sparkling wine, everything is there. The rolls are fresh and crispy.The service staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Only the lady at the reception was very arrogant towards me when I asked for tips for cafés and restaurants and couldn't or wouldn't recommend anything to me. I felt like I was being a nuisance.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Romantik-Hof in Greetsiel.Our room was big enough and was quietly located at the back. There wasn't much or nothing at all to complain about the equipment; more on that later. The fact that we were staying in the back house didn't bother us either; The route across the courtyard to breakfast was no problem.The breakfast buffet was very good; there was almost everything your heart could desire. There was both sausage and cheese, warm dishes such as eggs and sausages, meat loaf, salads, fresh fruit, juices, coffee specialties.The staff was very friendly and helpful, always had a smile on their faces. We couldn't understand why this didn't work for the manager of the house; she always looked grumpy (in our opinion).We were guests in the summer and had the weather to match. Therefore we were allowed to use the pool. It was big enough to refresh yourself and also do a few swimming strokes; We got along well with other guests.Some other former guests have reported (including on Booking.com) about some grievances, which were brushed off in a dismissive, almost cheap way by the manager of the house. - Ms. Bonitz-Sirpas, we can confirm some of them! And if you had responded to your request for a review of our stay with you via email, we would have (only) informed you there.The cleanliness in the room, especially in the bathroom, left and leaves a lot to be desired. There is no 4-star standard here. And we don’t base this on “cleaning every two days”:Dust fluff on the ceiling, behind the bedside table, on the cupboard, on the door frame is really bad. But rust, lime, spak, mold in the bathroom, these are conditions that you don't expect in a house like this.The equipment should also be renewed at some point: more functional, less expansive bedside lamps (as nice as they may be), a wall lamp instead of a space-consuming floor lamp, a hairdryer with a cold setting. The latter is also long past its best; very easy to recognize by the level of yellowing. - We noticed this in our room 28.During less busy travel times, you should also urgently consider a (partial) renovation. The junction box could really be installed appropriately, the blind box could be properly processed and the shelf in the shower could be properly attached, or better yet, replaced.We have already read about the topic of sound insulation here several times. So in room 28 you can do without a room size of 5 to 10 centimeters at the head of the bed in order to achieve a little more sound insulation from the neighboring room. Because every time you go to the toilet and every shower you hear it live and with lots of noise. (The room on the other side is no better, but there are bathrooms next to each other.As written at the beginning: We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Romantik-Hof in Greetsiel. But some circumstances made us doubt whether it would be worthy of a 4-star hotel. Yes, it's (actually) about the equipment. But why isn't the minibar filled? So for us it is “just” a mini fridge.And so the just over 200 euros per night (including a great breakfast) were pretty steep…

When we checked in we were greeted very friendly and provided with information.The room was clean and had enough space.The breakfast left nothing to be desired and the service was very attentive.Overall a nice hotel with a pleasant atmosphere.Can be recommended without hesitation.

We spontaneously decided on the Romantik-Hof in Greetsiel, got a nice and well-kept room and felt very comfortable all around. Very friendly staff and a great breakfast gave us a feel-good time. After about a 7-hour journey, we are greeted by a quiet, tidy, clean and well-structured place.The parking guidance system is perfect.
