Pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. Nice rooms with good box spring beds. Mediterranean atmosphere throughout the house. Cozy restaurant with good food. Breakfast buffet is extensive and offers something for everyone. Unfortunately scrambled eggs come from “the bag”. The lake is only a few meters away.We didn't use the spa area as it was too dark for us and had no daylight.

Was there for dinner a long time ago. A failure. Then again for coffee and cake. That's how it went. Now I just wanted to have a coffee or cappuccino there with a friend. You weren't allowed to go into the actual restaurant, but had to stay in the entrance area, even though there were enough free seats. But that would have been okay. However, both the cappuccino and the café crema had apparently only seen the coffee beans from a distance and tasted like warm water. Ergo after 3 attempts: the restaurant is not recommended.

Attention parking fee €3.50! Free parking 100m towards the town exit.I actually wanted to go to the British Yacht Club. The GPS took me to the hotel parking lot. Now this street is long with no reasonable turning option and ends in a paid parking lot (€3.50). By the time we realized our mistake it was already too late. I was hoping a friendly conversation would forgive us for this mistake but far from it, the receptionist was rude and condescending. "After all, you don't drive into a parking garage without reading the signs." (I've never been in a parking garage where there wasn't a 15-minute drop-off option) I hope I never have to pick up or drop someone off here and if I do, then I'll take the free parking lot 100 m towards the exit of the town.

The nice thing first:The spa area including pool is great and certainly sufficient for the size of the house if you are not there at rush hour. Since the weather was nice outside, we almost always had the pool to ourselves.The breakfast was also good. Unfortunately, there are usually two of the breakfast ladies, which is why you are not greeted and seated at the entrance, but instead stay there for 5-10 minutes until you are ordered to the counter, where you are checked off the room list.There is no breakfast service in between, which is no longer necessary due to the offer. (However, you could reduce the waiting time at the entrance with a little communication with the guests at the table).The breakfast buffet itself is lavishly laid out, but after a certain time it is only replenished sporadically - if at all - so that not so much has to be thrown away in the end. If you ask, you'll definitely get one or two things; However, we didn't need it in this case.I can't say anything for our vegan or vegetarian friends because, as an omnivore, I didn't have to explicitly pay attention to whether they found something on the buffet.Now to the disappointing part of our two-night stay: the room.We stayed at the hotel for a weekend in August and were lucky with the weather: 25-30° degrees, pure sunshine. A dream at Dümmer Lake.However, not if you live under the roof without air conditioning/air supply.-View towards the parking lot (which isn't a problem in itself)-no air conditioning or ventilation except 3 windows-no fly screens on the windows-> Large spiders and bugs like to seek shelter here and come into the room almost automatically, which is why we preferred to sleep with the windows closed!Conclusion: the room was extremely warmed up by the morning sun and the air was stagnant in the room.We couldn't sleep because it was so unbearably hot.The receptionist at checkout didn't even ask how we liked it. (We proactively left feedback. Answer: pass it on...).We are most likely not the first guests at the hotel to have complained about the unbearable heat.All in all, we will no longer come here to stay overnight because we value good quality sleep.Maybe it's easier to bear in winter.

We had very nice days in the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were very tasty and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The spa area was also very nicely decorated, unfortunately the infusion function didn't work, but it wasn't that bad. We would be happy to come back again and can only recommend the hotel. 😊

We booked for 2 nights in July and had something delicious here both evenings. You can park your car directly in front of the hotel for a fee. The welcome was friendly and professional. The entire hotel, the restaurant, the wellness area and the rooms are beautifully decorated in the beachhouse style. Which worked out very well. We really liked our room and the view of the lake from the room and balcony was very nice. The beds were very comfortable for us. The balcony was huge, which made the high-quality seating area seem a bit lost. Here we were missing 2 seat cushions because the chairs were a bit uncomfortable. It would also be great to have 2 loungers with a side table so that you can comfortably enjoy the view with a good book, even if that If the weather doesn't cooperate, you can stay with a cozy blanket until autumn. Unfortunately, the balcony was only separated from the neighbors by very thin cladding, so you can hear every word they say. The walls have zero decoration, which somehow makes a stark difference to the rest of the ambience. A small outdoor carpet would make it a little more cozy. Directly under the balcony there is part of the roof of the restaurant, which is covered with black gravel. A green roof could improve the view enormously here. We also used the wellness area. Very nice, comfortable loungers and beach chairs are available for use, the 2 saunas are great and the swimming pool is great. Everything was very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and was quickly refilled. You could help yourself to delicious coffee specialties at the machine. What irritated us a bit was that there were reserved tables for some guests, even though it said: "Free choice of seating". The service was very friendly and open to any questions. The location almost directly on the lake is really great for walking or cycling. Bicycles can be rented directly at the hotel. All in all we really liked it.

Rooms basically ok, balcony door broken, no minibar, balcony furniture not really availableLocation basically ok, easy access by car, parking on siteService bad and unfriendlyWhen we checked in, we were told very abruptly and directly that there was no table available for us in our own restaurant and that "we should forget about it" for the next few days.When visiting the sauna, you are expected to have independently found out information about the available sauna bags in advance. This must be “brought back straight away” upon instruction.At Sunday breakfast we were greeted (15 minutes before the end of breakfast time) with the words that there was no more breakfast - immediately after the colleague had refilled the buffet. After we found a place that wasn't littered or newly set up, the service worker in question came across a group of blasphemers right next to our table.It's a shame, customer orientation looks different!
